The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has launched the Warm Winter program, which provides for the payment of a one-time financial assistance of UAH 6.5 thousand for each child from low-income families, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.
“One of the priority areas is the protection of Ukrainian children, who should receive the safest, most comfortable and favorable conditions for life, education and development. The children’s component of the Winter Support includes a number of items. The first is the “Warm Winter” program: a one-time financial assistance for children to survive the winter period… Today we are adopting a resolution that launches this program,” Shmyhal said at a government meeting on Tuesday.
According to the Prime Minister, in December, every low-income family, as well as families of internally displaced persons who have children or adults with disabilities of group I, will receive UAH 6.5 thousand for each child.
“These funds will be used to buy warm clothes, shoes and other things needed in winter,” said Shmygal.
