Ukraine has fully used basic and additional quotas for wheat and maize supplies to the European Union for 2018, the Ukragroconsult consulting agency has reported.
“In the period from January 1 to January 5 Ukraine fully used both basic and additional quotas for exports of wheat and maize to the EU countries in 2018,” the agency said on its website.
Thus, quotas for the supply of wheat and corn have been 100% used (1.035 million tonnes and 1.125 million tonnes respectively).
The quota for duty-free barley exports as of January 5 had been 2.5% used (15,680 tonnes from the approved 615,000 tonnes).
As reported, Ukraine has also fully used basic quotas for duty-free supplies of honey (about 8,000 tonnes), grape and apple juice (14,000 tonnes) from Ukraine to the EU.
