There are almost 7 million internally displaced persons in Ukraine, of which 4.8 million are registered, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk said.
“Today we have 4.8 million registered internally displaced persons. There are almost 7 million IDPs in total,” she said on the air of the national telethon on Monday afternoon.
Vereshchuk noted that 1 million IDPs are children.
According to her, out of 4.8 million registered IDPs, 1.1 million people became IDPs twice.
