In January–June 2026, Ukraine reduced imports of zinc and zinc products by 33.6% compared to the same period last year, to $17.098 million.
According to customs statistics, imports of zinc and zinc products in June totaled $3.069 million.
Zinc exports for the six-month period totaled $649,000, with $183,000 in June, compared to $620,000 in January–June 2025.
As previously reported, Ukraine reduced its imports of zinc and zinc products by 9.6% in 2025 compared to 2024, down to $52,982 million. Zinc exports for the past year reached $1,234 million, whereas in 2024 they stood at $563 thousand.
Pure metallic zinc is used to refine precious metals, to protect steel from corrosion, and for other purposes.
