WINE TRADE HOUSE INKERMAN PLANS TO ISSUE 10 MLN BOTTLES OF WINE IN 2018

19 March , 2018

The Inkerman trade house plans to produce around 10 million bottles of still and sparkling wine in 2018, Director General of Inkerman trade house Hanna Horkun has said.
“The production plan directly depends on the pace of sales and the market. Today our current production forecast is about 10 million bottles in 2018,” she told Interfax-Ukraine.
According to the company, in 2017 it sold about 9 million bottles of still and sparkling wine under the Inkerman trademark.
At the same time, the general director of Inkerman trade house said that it is too early to predict the volume of grapes production this year, adding that there are no threats to the harvest yet.
“Vine growers do not talk about specific figures until early April, when the risk of a sharp drop in temperature becomes minimal and so-called “sap flow” begins. This phase of grapes development lasts mainly from the third decade of March to the third decade of April and depends on many factors – temperature of soil and air, soil moisture, grape variety, rootstock variety, root system capacity and the horizon of its maximum development. By the end of April it will be clear, but so far no disasters have been observed,” Horkun said.
