JSC “Zaporozhye plant of heavy cranes” (“Zaporozhkran”), the subsidiary of Finnish Konecranes, has finished 2022 with the loss of 124,31 million UAH, while in 2021 the net profit was 103,66 million UAH.
According to the information to the agenda of the general meeting of shareholders of Zaporizhkran on the results of work in 2021 and 2022, scheduled for April 28, its uncovered loss by the beginning of 2021 was 83.86 million UAH (a year earlier – 25.19 million UAH undistributed profit).
“Profit for 2021 shall be directed to cover losses of the previous periods and losses for 2022…Due to uncovered loss as of December 31, 2022 and absence of reserve capital, dividends for 2021 and 2022 shall not be accrued and shall not be paid”, – is said in the draft resolution of the meeting.
Last year Zaporizhkran decreased its current liabilities insignificantly (by 3.4%) – to UAH 533.82 mln, its long-term liabilities constituted UAH 7.69 mln (2.3 times less).
The assets of the company in 2022 decreased by 21.8% to UAH 538.91 mln, including the total receivables increased by 60.3% to UAH 96.36 mln, but reserves decreased more than twice to UAH 145.49 mln.
As of January 1, 2023 the shareholders’ equity of the company is “minus” 2.61 mln UAH, and the authorized capital – 6.41 mln UAH.
“Zaporizhkran was founded in 1928. Since 2005 its main shareholder is one of the leading world manufacturers of hoisting cranes and lifting devices – Finnish Konecranes.
The plant specializes in the production of overhead, gantry and special cranes and their components, is engaged in the production of metal structures.
According to the annual report of the company for 2021 in the information disclosure system of National Commission for Securities and Stock Market, its net income reduced by 39% compared with the previous year – up to UAH 470.72 mln, while the net profit increased by 15% up to UAH 103.66 mln. The share of exports was 99.7%.
By the beginning of 2022 the average number of employees at the plant was 359 people.
