STATE-RUN PRIVATBANK’S ASSETS UP BY 11.4%

The assets of state-owned PrivatBank (Kyiv) in 2019 amounted to UAH 309.7 billion, which is 11.4% more than this indicator for 2018 (UAH 278.05 billion), according to the annual financial statements on the bank’s website.
According to the report, in particular, loans to customers over the specified period increased by 18.8%, to UAH 59.5 billion, and investment securities decreased by 15.5%, to UAH 152.16 billion.
The liabilities of the financial institution in 2019 increased by 3.5%, to UAH 255.19 billion, in particular deposits by 4.1%, to UAH 240.6 billion.
The bank’s net worth rose by 58.2%, to UAH 54.53 billion. Charter capital remained at the level of UAH 206.06 billion.
According to the document, the bank’s net profit for the year increased by 2.55 times, to UAH 32.6 billion, at the same time, profit for the fourth quarter decreased by 23.2%, to UAH 5.9 billion compared to the same period in 2018.
Net interest income of the bank for the year increased by 17.4%, to UAH 19.67 million.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, as of January 1, 2020 PrivatBank ranked first among 75 banks operating in the country in terms of total assets (UAH 552.058 billion).
