TRANSPORT ENTERPRISES OF UKRAINE INCREASE CARGO TRANSPORTATION BY 9%

Transport enterprises of Ukraine increase cargo transportation by 9%
The transport enterprises of Ukraine in January-October 2019 increased cargo transportation by 8.8% compared to the same period in 2018, to 561.6 million tonnes, according to the State Statistics Service. According to its data, freight turnover of carriers for the specified period increased by 2.2%, to 282.3 billion tonne-kilometers.
According to statistical data, in January-October 2019 some 220.2 million tonnes of goods were transported by rail within the country and for export, which is 1.1% less than in January-October 2018.
Transportation of timber decreased by 59.4%, construction materials by 21%, scrap metal by 18%, coke by 9.3%, cement by 5.6%, coal by 4.2%, and ferrous metals by 3.4%.
At the same time, transportation of iron and manganese ore rose by 3.2%, oil and petroleum products by 0.1%, grain and cereal by 23.9%, chemical and mineral fertilizers by 32.9%.
In the total volume of cargo transportation by water, foreign traffic accounted for 41.5%. The volume of foreign cargo transportation decreased by 1.2%.
In January-October 2019, compared with January-October 2018, the volume of cargo transportation by pipelines increased. So, transportation of ammonia grew by 10.6%, gas by 0.6%. Ammonia transit was up by 11.1%, gas by 1.7%. Along with this, oil pumping and transit decreased by 1.9% and 4.3% respectively.

VOLUME OF SERVICES RENDERED BY UKRAINE’S ENTERPRISES 2.7% UP IN Q1 2019

The volume of services rendered by enterprises in Ukraine in January-March 2019 amounted to UAH 215.2 billion, which in comparable prices is 2.7% more than the level of the same period in 2018, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
According to its data, the volume of services rendered to the population was 21.1% of the total volume of services provided.
The authority recalled that in January-March 2018, the volume of services rendered by enterprises in Ukraine grew by 3%, in April-June 2018 – by 5.8% and in July-September 2018 – by 4.8%.

UKRAINIAN ENTERPRISES RAISE PRETAX PROFIT BY 12.4% IN JAN-SEPT

Enterprises and organizations in Ukraine in January-September 2018 raised profit from ordinary activities before taxation by 12.4%, to UAH 208.2 billion, while in January-September 2017 the figure was UAH 237.8 billion, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine. According to the service, in January-September 2018 profitable Ukrainian enterprises received UAH 378.218 billion of profit, which is 2.6% more than in the same period in 2017. At the same time, 29.2% of enterprises posted a negative financial result. Their losses in January-September of this year increased by 29.9% compared to January-September last year, to UAH 169.98 billion.

UKRAINIAN ENTERPRISES RAISE PRETAX PROFIT BY 29.5% IN Q1, 2018 – STATISTICS

Enterprises and organizations in Ukraine in January-March 2018 received profit from ordinary activities before taxation in the amount of UAH 132.875 billion, while in January-March 2017 the figure was UAH 102.615 billion, according to the State Statistics Service.
According to the service, in the first quarter of 2018 profitable Ukrainian enterprises received UAH 177.491 billion of profit, which is 13% more than in the same period in 2017.
At the same time, 31.4% of enterprises posted a negative financial result. Their losses in January-March of this year decreased by 18% compared to January-March last year, to UAH 44.617 billion.

VOLUME OF SERVICES RENDERED BY UKRAINE’S ENTERPRISES 3% UP IN Q1, 2018 – STATISTICS

The volume of services rendered by enterprises in Ukraine in January-March 2018 amounted to UAH 177.8 billion, which in comparable prices is 3% more than the level of the same period in 2017, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
According to its data, the volume of services rendered to the population was 21.8% of the total volume of services provided.
The service said in the fourth quarter of 2017 the volume of services rendered by Ukrainian enterprises grew by 0.6%, in the third quarter by 3.1%, in the second quarter by 7.7%, and in the first quarter by 14.8%.
