Triumph Media Group LLC (Kyiv), developing the Planeta Kino cinema chain, plans to open a first cinema in Ukraine adapted for persons with disabilities in River Mall being built in Dniprovska Naberezhna in Kyiv.
“In the new cinema of the Planeta Kino cinema network in the River Mall there will be the country’s first resource room in a non-specialized establishment, personnel trained to work with all types of disabilities, as well as navigation and improved infrastructure. The name of the project is Planeta Piznykh,” the company said in a press release.
According to the press release, the resource room is a space specially created for the needs of viewers with autism, where they can stay in emotional outbursts. It will be located in the center of the cinema, next to the box office.
In addition, in the halls there will be special places, navigation, improved toilet and changing booths.
The goal of the project is to increase the level of socialization of people with physical and mental disabilities, to train network viewers to communicate with them.
“Our big goal is educational work among all viewers of the Planeta Kino cinema network, which is about 4 million contacts per year,” the company said in the press release.
Dmytro Derkach, the co-owner of the Planeta Kino network, told Interfax-Ukraine that the 10-hall cinema is located on the third floor of the River Mall shopping and entertainment center on the area of 3,300 square meters.
According to him, the cinema includes an IMAX with Laser hall, a 4Dx hall, five halls with Cinetech + branded film technology and three business class halls – the RE’LUX cinema restaurant.
He said that it is planned to open the cinema in April or May.
Argo-Trade Network LLC (ARGO, Kyiv) has rented about 800 square meters for six fashionable mono-brand stores, including Scotch & Soda, Liu Jo, Lee Cooper, Penti, OVS Kids and Parfois, in the River Mall shopping and entertainment center being under construction in Darnytsky district of the capital.
The press service of River Mall told Interfax-Ukraine the Scotch & Soda store will occupy 180 square meters, Liu Jo 162 square meters, Lee Cooper 105 square meters, Penti some 74 square meters, OVS Kids 180 square meters, and Parfois 96 square meters.
All stores of these brands will be presented in Darnytsky district for the first time.
“The River Mall shopping and entertainment center is the first high-class shopping center in Darnytsky district in Kyiv, which makes popular European brands of the ARGO group accessible to the residents of this district,” representatives of the distribution network noted.
As reported, ARGO brought the Italian premium brand Liu Jo and the Dutch brand Scotch & Soda to the Ukrainian market in 2018. The stores of these brands in the River Mall shopping mall will be the third in each of the network.
Intertop Ukraine LLC (Kyiv), founded by MTI Holding, plans to open Ukraine’s first mono-brand store of the U.S. outdoor brand The North Face and eight more stores in the River Shopping trade and entertainment center with a total area of 140,000 square meters being built in Darnytsky district in Kyiv. The press service of River Mall told the Interfax-Ukraine news agency that the total area of Intertop Ukraine stores in the facility will be 1,300 square meters.
“Intertop Ukraine opens the first mono-brand store of the legendary U.S. brand The North Face and eight more stores in the River Mall center. Among them are such well-known international brands as Armani Exchange, Napapijri, Marc O’Polo, Ecco, Skechers, Geox, Timberland, as well as the Intertop store for the whole family,” the report says.
The North Face store will become the first mono-brand store in the Intertop Ukraine portfolio in Ukraine. It will present male and female clothes, as well as accessories.
“As of the end of January 2019, the design of the stores is at the completion stage. In the near future, the company is ready to start repair and construction work. The opening of the stores is scheduled simultaneously with the official opening of the River Mall center in the spring of this year,” the press service said.
Intertop Ukraine was founded by the international trading holding MTI, one of the largest distributors of computer and office equipment in Ukraine.
