STATE-RUN UKRAVTODOR STARTS REPAIR WORKS ON ROAD TO OCHAKIV

The State Automobile Roads Agency of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) in 2020 will renew the road T-15-13 Nechayane – Ochakiv (Mykolaiv region) with a length of 36.9 km, Ukravtodor has said in its Telegram channel.
“This is one of the worst roads in the country, which leads to picturesque places on the Black Sea coast. The plan is to launch it by the end of 2020,” the press service said, citing Ukravtodor Head Oleksandr Kubrakov.
Rostdorstroy LLC and OJSC Road Building Enterprise DST No. 4 Brest were identified as the contractors for the repair work.
The agency said that the work began from the north – the exit from the M-14 road Odesa – Melitopol – Novoazovsk. The contractor is currently cutting the worn-out road surface on a 6-kilometer stretch.
In general, in 2020 in Mykolaiv region it is planned to renew 185.5 km of national roads.
In Ukraine, according to the data of Ukravtodor, the Automobile Road Service has completed the upgrade of 2,022 km of roads in the upper layer of the road surface, another 800 km have been completed in the leveling layer. The leaders are Zakarpattia (223.5 km), Kharkiv (221.2 km), Zaporizhia (168.8 km), Sumy (149.9 km), Luhansk (133 km) and Lviv (130.1 km) regions.

STATE-RUN UKRAVTODOR STARTS REPAIRS OF IZMAIL-KILIYA-VILKOVE ROAD

The State Automobile Roads Agency of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) has begun repair work on the ten-kilometer section of the T-16-07 Izmail-Kiliya-Vilkove national road.
Ukravtodor said in its Telegram channel that work is already underway to break up the old road surface and equip the base with crushed stone-sand mixture.
The contractor for the repair work on the site is Rostdorstroy LLC.
Ukravtodor said that under the Big Construction program it is planned to restore 194 km of roads in Odesa region in 2020.

UKRAVTODOR HAS REPAIRED 11 BRIDGES ACROSS UKRAINE

The State Agency for Roads of Ukraine (Ukravtodor), within the framework of the National Program for the Renewal of Bridges, announces the completion of restoration work at 11 out of 103 objects planned for 2020.
Agreements on repairs on 60 bridges have also been drawn up to date: 39 of them are already in operation, and repairs of 21 bridges will begin in the near future, Ukravtodor reported on its Facebook page on Wednesday.
Another 30 bridges are in the procurement phase, and two are awaiting tender announcements.
Earlier, Ukravtodor reported that as of September 1, contractors completed work on the arrangement of the upper layer of 1,700 km of roads. Today, in general, work is being carried out on 4,000 km of roads of national importance.

UKRAVTODOR TO START CONSTRUCTION OF NEW BYPASS ROAD AROUND KYIV

The State Agency of Automobile Roads of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) in 2020 intends to start designing a new bypass road around Kyiv, and in 2021 its construction.
This is stated in the presentation of Ukravtodor, published on the agency’s Telegram channel.
According to the published data, the project provides for the construction of a “half-ring” with a total length of about 150 km, which will connect five international routes. It is planned that the road will consist of six sections and will connect the following roads: M-07 Kyiv-Kovel, M-06 Kyiv-Chop, M-05 Kyiv-Odesa, H-01 Kyiv-Znamyanka, H-08 Boryspil-Mariupol, M- 03 Kyiv-Kharkiv and M-01 Kyiv-Chernihiv.
According to preliminary calculations, peak traffic on certain sections of the road will be more than 70,000 cars per day, and the total traffic will exceed 300,000. In addition, within the framework of the project, it is planned to build a 5.9 km bridge with approaches across the Dnipro River.
The estimated cost of the project is UAH 85 billion.
Currently, a tender has already been announced for the design work of the first section of 35.2 km between M-06 Kyiv-Chop and M-05 Kyiv-Odesa with an estimated cost of UAH 12 billion.
According to Ukravtodor, it is planned to complete the construction of the Kyiv bypass road in five to six years, subject to stable funding.

EUROPEAN INVESTMENT BANK COULD ISSUE EUR 100 MLN LOAN TO STATE-RUN UKRAVTODOR

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is considering the possibility of providing the State Agency of Automobile Roads of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) with EUR 100 million in a loan for the development of roads in Luhansk region.
“The investment loan would support investment in the reconstruction of regional roads T-13 and R-66 in Luhansk region, therefore improving regional connectivity and strengthening the agricultural value chain due to improvements in the associated road infrastructure. The road investment will improve the regional road network with the objective of improving the quality of the road, creating safer road conditions and reducing environmental pollution through improved traffic flow,” the bank’s website said.
According to data released by the EIB, the total cost of reconstruction of these roads is EUR160 million.
As reported, Ukravtodor completed the repair of the section of road N-26 Chuhuyiv-Milove (Luhansk region) within the framework of the Big Construction project.

UKRAVTODOR TO RESTORE M-05 KYIV-ODESA HIGHWAY

Тhe State Agency of Automobile Roads of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) intends to completely renew the M-05 Kyiv-Odesa highway in 2020-2021.
Ukravtodor said on its Facebook page that it is also planned to equip roadside infrastructure, recreation areas, establish Weigh-in-Motion sites, as well as other security measures on the highway.
“The repaired 25 km of the road (in Kyiv and Cherkasy regions) brought us closer to the goal for 2021 – to carry out the overhaul of the M-05 road over the entire length. For this, we are already designing sections in three areas. In the near future, we are waiting for work to begin on 40 km of the road in Kyiv region, this is the last non-ideal road section in the region … Another important point is the interchanges that will begin to be built this year. One will be near Vita-Poshtova, the other in Chabany. Strategically we plan to completely abandon left turns on the tracks of international importance,” Head of Ukravtodor Oleksandr Kubrakov said.
The agency also notes that it plans to launch long-term maintenance contracts for the M-05 highway. They can be concluded for a period of up to seven years, while now one- or two-year contracts are most common. To date, Ukraine has only one long-term contract for road maintenance in Lviv region, as part of a pilot in the EBRD and EIB project.
The total length of the M-05 highway is 504.6 km.
