Rain and Cold Snap Expected in Ukraine Starting Monday

No precipitation is expected in Ukraine on Sunday; rain and a significant drop in air temperature are expected in several regions starting Monday. According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, there will be no precipitation in Ukraine on Sunday, September 20; in the northeast of the country and in the Cherkasy region, there will be patchy fog at night and in the morning.

Winds will be predominantly southwesterly, 5–10 m/s.

Nighttime temperatures will range from 10–15°, and daytime temperatures from 21–26°.

In Kyiv on Sunday, there will be no precipitation. Winds will be from the southwest at 5–10 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will range from 13–15°, and daytime temperatures from 23–25°.

According to data from the Boris Sreznevsky Central Geophysical Observatory, the highest daytime temperature recorded in Kyiv on September 20 was 30.4 in 2015, and the lowest nighttime temperature was 0.0 in 1921.

On Monday, September 21, there will be moderate rain at night in the western and northern regions and during the day across Ukraine; in the east, there will be light rain in some places, with thunderstorms in isolated areas.

The wind will be southwesterly, shifting to northwesterly, at 7–12 m/s, with gusts of 15–20 m/s in some parts of the western regions during the day.

Nighttime temperatures will range from 10–15°; daytime temperatures will range from 13–18° in the western regions, most of the northern regions, and the Vinnytsia and Cherkasy regions, and from 21–26° in the rest of the country.

Rain is expected in Kyiv on Monday. The wind will be from the southwest, shifting to the northwest, at 7–12 m/s. Temperatures will range from 13–15° at night and during the day.
