NIKOPOL FERROALLOY PLANT RAISES PRODUCTION BY 12.5%

Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant (NFP, Dnipropetrovsk region) in January-May this year increased production by 12.5% compared to the same period last year, to 259,690 tonnes.
As the Ukrainian Association of Producers of Ferroalloys and Other Electrometallurgical Products told Interfax-Ukraine, in the five months, the plant increased production of silicon manganese by 9.6%, to 236,710 tonnes, and ferromanganese – by 53.9%, to 22,980 tonnes.
In May, 59,290 tonnes of ferroalloys were produced.
Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant is Ukraine’s largest ferroalloy smelter. It uses imported and domestic raw materials for the production of ferroalloys.
Nikopol plant is controlled by EastOne Group, established in autumn 2007 as a result of restructuring of Interpipe Group, and Privat Group, both based in Dnipro.

HORIZON CAPITAL INTENDS TO GAIN CONTROL OVER CYPRIOT COMPANY OWNER OF AVRORA SOCIAL STORE NETWORK

Cypriot Dealbeta Investments Limited, created by Emerging Europe Growth Fund III (EEGF III) private equity fund managed by Horizon Capital, intends to gain control over the Cypriot company Avroretail Investments Limited, the owner of the Avrora social store network.
According to the website of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU), the relevant issue was included in the agenda of the commission’s meeting on June 24.
According to the report, Dealbeta Investments has already entered into a shareholder agreement with the citizens of Ukraine and Avroretail Investments, which contains provisions on concerted actions and restrictive obligations for a period of five years.
According to the state register, Avroretail Investments, registered in March of this year, in April became the owner of Prior Investments LLC (Scherbany village, Poltava region) with Seven A LLC (Poltava) instead of the co-owner of the Avrora chain, Poltava businessman Lev Zhidenko, and Vyhidna Pokupka LLC (Poltava) instead of Zhidenko (who owned 33.74%), Taras Panasenko (56.75%) and Lesia Klymenko (9.49%). Promyslova 9 LLC (Vinnytsia), which belonged to Zhidenko and Panasenko on a parity basis, was also registered for Avroretail.
Vyhidna Pokupka LLC (until May of this year – Lafesta) last year increased its revenue 2.4 times, to UAH 1.011 billion, and net profit – 2.2 times, to UAH 55.9 million.
According to the information on the website of the Avrora chain, its stores operate in almost all regions of Ukraine in the One Dollar Store format.

UKRAINIAN RULING PARTY PLANS TO HOLD FORUM IN AUTUMN

The Servant of the People political party plans to hold a large-scale forum in Kyiv in autumn with the participation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and more than 7,000 local deputies, head of the political force Oleksandr Korniyenko said.
“In autumn, we will organize a very large-scale forum. It will be even more than a regular congress. We want to gather all our local deputies – and this is more than 7,000 people, to invite President Volodymyr Zelensky,” Korniyenko said in a comment to the Interfax-Ukraine news agency.
According to him, this will be the first time in the history of Ukraine when deputies from all over Ukraine – from big cities to small communities – will be at the forum together.
He also said that the event will be organized in a secure manner due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

ALEF CORPORATION LAUNCHES THERMOPLASTIC GRANULE PLANT

The plant for the production of thermoplastic granules (TPE-granules) and compounds, a new member of the Alef corporation of businessman Vadym Ermolaev, has been put into operation in Dnipro, according to the corporation’s Facebook page.
“The new Allcomp plant is a leading manufacturer of thermoplastic granules used in various fields of activity: construction, medicine, pharmaceuticals, automobiles,” the corporation said.
According to the corporation, the Allcomp plant is the first company using innovative equipment from German and Turkish manufacturers, which has no analogues in Ukraine. The quality of raw materials and finished products is controlled in the company’s own laboratory.
As reported, Alef Corporation unites 10 diversified businesses operating in the segment of development, production of medical devices, building materials and seamless pipes, and the agricultural sector.
The corporation’s businesses export their goods to more than 20 countries.

184 UKRAINIAN CITIZENS STRANDED IN GREECE, BUT FLY FROM THESSALONIKI TO HOME

A total of 184 Ukrainian citizens, including 41 children, flew from Thessaloniki to Kyiv, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said.
“As promised, we are returning the Ukrainians who are stuck in Greece,” Kuleba wrote on his Twitter account.
The foreign minister said that two more flights will take place soon.
“Good work of our diplomats in Greece with tour operators, Greek authorities and others involved,” Kuleba wrote.
The Greek travel company Mouzenidis Travel, headquartered in Thessaloniki, has suspended services for foreign tourists, including those from Ukraine.
In this regard, the resources of the diplomatic service were mobilized to provide assistance to Ukrainian tourists in Greece. It was reported that on June 25-26, flights should take place on the routes Thessaloniki-Kyiv, Thessaloniki-Lviv and Heraklion-Kyiv, which will be able to return to Ukraine over 500 citizens.

IN UKRAINE RECORD NUMBER OF PEOPLE VACCINATED AGAINST COVID PER DAY

The Ministry of Health announced a record number of citizens vaccinated against COVID-19, a total of 97,130 people were vaccinated on June 25.
“A record number of vaccinations per day in Ukraine! 97,130 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 on June 25, 2021,” the Ministry of Health’s Telegram channel said on Saturday.
A total of 36,540 people received one dose, 60,590 citizens were fully immunized.
Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 1.871.511 people have been vaccinated, of which 1.871.509 people received one dose, 550,966 people are fully immunized (two doses) (two of them are abroad).
