DELEGATION OF RULING PARTY OF SOUTH KOREA PLANS TO VISIT UKRAINE

A delegation of South Korea’s ruling People’s Power party will visit Ukraine next month, Yonhap reports citing officials.
Party chairman Lee Jung Suk and some party lawmakers will travel to Ukraine in early June as part of a “special delegation of Korean-Ukrainian freedom, peace and solidarity,” they said.
The exact date of the visit has not yet been determined.
“South Koreans deplore the situation in Ukraine and hope for a speedy peace,” the party’s press release quoted the agency as saying.
As noted in the Power of the People, their party will be the first political party in Asia to send a delegation to Ukraine.

UKRAINIAN RULING PARTY PLANS TO HOLD FORUM IN AUTUMN

The Servant of the People political party plans to hold a large-scale forum in Kyiv in autumn with the participation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and more than 7,000 local deputies, head of the political force Oleksandr Korniyenko said.
“In autumn, we will organize a very large-scale forum. It will be even more than a regular congress. We want to gather all our local deputies – and this is more than 7,000 people, to invite President Volodymyr Zelensky,” Korniyenko said in a comment to the Interfax-Ukraine news agency.
According to him, this will be the first time in the history of Ukraine when deputies from all over Ukraine – from big cities to small communities – will be at the forum together.
He also said that the event will be organized in a secure manner due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
