UFUTURE AND INSOFT PARTNERS COOPERATE IN IT OUTSOURCING

Investment companies UFuture and InSoft Partners signed an agreement on strategic partnership in the IT industry and founded InSoft Software, a joint company that will specialize in IT outsourcing, the press service of UFuture has reported.
InSoft Software will develop software on a turnkey basis and provide software consultancy services.
“Today, InSoft Software is a majority shareholder in IT companies Lenal and Rozdoum, which it plans to expand rapidly through the development of a new marketing strategy and a series of international roadshows,” the investor said.
According to the report, the InSoft Software team has many years of experience working with tech giants like Ericsson, Telcordia, Chrysler, Samsung, DiGi, Avid, and BNP Paribas Group.
InSoft Partners will be responsible for market research and acquisition of IT companies, their subsequent consolidation, and strategic management and development.
In turn, UFuture will use its international relationship map to build new strategic partnerships and contribute to the organic growth of the business.
“The pace of Ukraine’s IT industry development is staggering. It has been demonstrating annual growth of 20-26% for quite a long time. These are billions in revenue. I am convinced that InSoft Software enters the market in time and will become one of the major players thoroughly contributing to the development of innovation and creative economy of our country,” the founder of UFuture, Vasyl Khmelnytsky, said.
The investment fund said that Ukraine has a very good reputation in the global IT community. More than 170,000 Ukrainian IT specialists work in startups and large companies around the world.
“Many well-known and ambitious brands, such as Grammarly, MacPaw, Readdle, PetCube, GitLab, People.AI, are the brainchildren of Ukrainian developers. More than 110 R&D centers owned by such leading international corporations as Microsoft, SnapChat, Samsung, ABBYY, have offices in Ukrainian cities,” UFuture said.
“We continue to see a great demand for software development services and we know how to transform the classic software development outsourcing model to get a margin that is significantly higher than the market average,” InSoft Partners Managing Parter Vitaly Gorovoy said.
UFuture unites companies and social projects of Khmelnytsky. The group includes the Bila Tserkva industrial park, the UDP development company, the Sikorsky Kyiv International Airport, outdoor advertising operator RTM-Ukraine, as well as innovative businesses: UDP Renewables (creates and develops photovoltaic power plants under its control), the pharmaceutical company Biopharma, innovative parks UNIT.City and LvivTech.City.
InSoft Partners is an investment managing company that invests in IT business and provides M&A advisory services. Among the company’s counterparties are the famous American investment fund, Oak Tree Capital Management, and FinPoint/Rothschild&Co. The first joint IT project of InSoft Partners and UNIT.City was X.Teams career center.

UIA LAUNCHES COMBINED AIRCRAFT + BUS SERVICE FROM VINNYTSIA JOINTLY WITH ATASS-BORYSPIL

Ukraine International Airline (UIA) jointly with ATASS-Boryspil bus operator (earlier it carried passengers from the Boryspil international airport to the central railway station of Kyiv) launched intermodal transportation between Vinnytsia and Boryspil International Airport, the press service of the UIA has reported.
The UIA combined services connecting Vinnytsia and Kyiv are operated daily on Neoplan buses. Buses depart from Terminal D, Boryspil International Airport, at 20:25, and Terminal Square, Vinnytsia airport, at 03:00.
“UIA baggage and hand baggage allowance applies to this type of travelling. Meanwhile, passengers are not required to check-in their luggage for the bus service. Animals, bulky sporting equipment, non-folding wheelchairs, and weapons are not permitted for transportation by bus,” the press service said.
The press service said that this is the first time UIA launches an intermodal service. The intermodal service is successfully provided by some European airlines.

UKRAINIAN START-UP PATENTBOT ATTRACTS ANGEL INVESTMENTS

A Ukrainian startup that has launched PatentBot, a chat bot to register patents and trademarks, has raised a new round of angel investment, CEO & Founder в PatentBot Natalia Vladymyrova said on Facebook.
“PatentBot was assessed at a million dollars! You can easily joke about a million dollar baby,” she wrote.
According to Vladymyrova, the startup continues to look for investors for the seed round.
PatentBot is a chat bot to register a trademark, copyright and patent for invention in the United States, Europe and Ukraine, which helps to go through the process of finding a TM to paying state duty within 5-7 minutes. In the Ukrainian market, the project was launched in July 2017, then scaled to the United States, the European Union and China. In 2018, PatentBot entered the acceleration program of the Hong Kong Betatron startup accelerator and was valued at $750,000.

DTEK PLANS TO IMPORT ELECTRICITY FROM EUROPE

DTEK intends to begin importing electricity from Europe within the Burshtyn Energy Island in July 2019, according to the Facebook page of D.TRADING.
“Our company also plans to start importing electricity as early as July with the further active development of this direction of business in the coming months,” Dmytro Maliar, the director for the D.TRADING energy portfolio management, said.
According to him, imports in the new market will allow increasing the level of competition.
Earlier, on July 1, ERU Trading LLC announced the implementation of test imports of electricity from Slovakia and Hungary within the Burshtyn Energy Island.
D.TRADING conducts wholesale trade in electricity, natural gas and coal in the domestic and foreign energy markets.

UKRGAZVYDOBUVANNIA OPENS TWO NEW FIELDS

JSC Ukrgazvydobuvannia in June 2019 opened new fields in Kharkiv and Poltava regions.
According to the press service of the company, in particular, in Kharkiv region, after testing an exploratory well with a depth of over 3,700 meters, an oil inflow was obtained. Oil resources in the field are about 130,000 tonnes.
In Poltava region, after drilling the first exploratory well with a depth of 6,300 meters, an industrial gas flow was obtained. The resources of the open gas condensate field exceed 2.7 billion cubic meters of gas.
“Ukrgazvydobuvannia significantly intensified exploration work, in particular, seismic exploration in all promising areas of the subsurface, which made it possible to open eight new fields in the last three years, six of which in 2018,” the company said.
As reported, Ukrgazvydobuvannia in 2018 increased gas production by 1.2% (by 176.2 million cubic meters) compared to 2017, to 15.420 billion cubic meters. The company’s share in total production in Ukraine in 2018 was 73.8%.

REVENUES OF UKRAINIAN POPULATION IN JAN-MARCH 2019 AMOUNTES TO UAH 803.4 BLN

The revenues of the population of Ukraine in January-March 2019 amounted to UAH 803.4 billion, expenses some UAH 852.4 billion, while savings decreased by UAH 49 billion, the State Statistics Service has reported.
According to the agency, in January-March 2019 compared with the same period in 2018, the nominal income of the population increased by 15.5%.
According to the report, real disposable income, determined by the price factor, grew by 7.7% in the first quarter of 2019 compared to the same period of 2018
Disposable income per capita for the first three months of the current year amounted to UAH 14,398, which is UAH 3,028 more than in the same period of 2018.
Expenditures of the population in the first quarter of 2019 compared to the same period of the previous year rose by 20.8%
