ODESAKABEL LAUNCHES NEW LAN CABLE PRODUCTION COMPLEX

PJSC Odesa Cable Works Odesakabel has launched a new production facility for the production of modern LAN cables, the company’s press service said.
“One of the latest investments was the acquisition of modern equipment for the production of LAN cables from the world’s leading brands: NIEHOFF (Germany) and SETIC (France),” the company emphasized.
The new LAN cables production complex was launched on August 21, 2018.
The plant emphasizes that the commissioning of the complex will allow the enterprise to increase output by 70%, or 5,000 km of cable per month, while quality will meet the highest international standards.
Odesakabel is the largest cable factory in Ukraine. It produces optical fiber cables, LAN cables, radio frequency cables, telecoms cables, power cables, wires and cords.

UKRAINE GOING TO OFFER MOLDOVA TO BUILD BRIDGE ACROSS DNIESTER

The government of Ukraine will offer Moldova to build a bridge across the Dniester in Vinnytsia region, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Volodymyr Kistion wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.
“From the economic point of view, the project is advantageous not only to Ukraine and Moldova, but also to the entire European Union. Therefore the Ukrainian government is going to come up with a proposal to the Moldovan side to sign an intergovernmental agreement soon and start building the bridge,” he said.
According to Kistion, the shortest way between Kyiv and Chisinau today is the road through the city of Yampil in Vinnytsia region, which also includes a ferry service between two European countries with a length of 100 km, which has become obsolete and obsolescent long time ago.
The construction of this bridge is stipulated in the Transport Strategy of Ukraine until 2030, he added.

GRAIN ALLIANCE THRESHES 43,800 TONNES OF EARLY GRAIN

Grain Alliance (LLC Baryshivska Grain Company), a large agricultural producer in Ukraine, has completed the harvesting of early grain and legumes, having threshed 43,800 tonnes of grain from 7,800 hectares.
The average yield of wheat is 5.77 tonnes per hectare; second- and third-grade wheat accounts for 84.5% of the harvest, the company said on its website.
The company is now preparing for gathering late crops.
Grain Alliance was co-founded by Harvest Moon East LLC (Baryshivka, Kyiv region) and BZK Grain Alliance (Sweden) in 2009.
Grain Alliance tills about 50,000 hectares of agricultural land in Ukraine’s Kyiv, Cherkasy, Poltava, Khmelnytsky and Chernihiv regions.
The company owns five grain storage facilities in Kyiv and Poltava regions, a seed processing plant with a capacity of 30,000 tonnes per year.

NEW ELEVATOR COMPLEX FOR 15,000 TONNES OF SEEDS OPENS IN LVIV REGION

Private enterprise Zakhidny Bug (Lviv region) has put into operation an elevator complex with a capacity of 15,000 tonnes of seeds in Brody, Lviv region, according to the website of Lviv Regional State Administration. According to the report, the new elevator complex consists of eight silos with a capacity of 500 tonnes each. “Every year Zakhidny Bug invests about UAH 25 million in construction, which is production facilities or social infrastructure for its own employees,” deputy director of the company Yuriy Odnorih said.
Lviv Regional State Administration stated over the past three years, starting in 2016, almost 200 new production facilities have opened in the territory of Lviv region.
Zakhidny Bug, founded in 2003, is engaged in cultivation, storage and sale of grains, technical and fodder crops. It rents 36,000 hectares of land in Lviv and Volyn regions. An agrochemical laboratory has been working within the enterprise since 2011. Agronomists-analysts develop a plant nutrition system on the basis of laboratory studies.
