According to data from the Boris Sreznevsky Central Geophysical Observatory, over the entire period of meteorological observations conducted in Kyiv since 1881, the highest temperature recorded in the capital on September 11 was 33.6° in 1898, and the lowest—at night—was 4.7° above zero in 1935 and 1968.
On Saturday, September 12, moderate and, in some places, heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected in the western and northern regions, as well as in Vinnytsia Oblast and, during the day, in Cherkasy and Poltava Oblasts. No precipitation is expected elsewhere. Fog is expected in some areas in the south and east of the country at night and in the morning.
