It is planned to build a waste recycling plant with a total annual capacity of 700,000 tonnes of waste in Kyiv, which will also sort waste, the press service of the Kyiv City Administration has reported.
“The city plans to build a waste recycling complex, which will have a total annual processing capacity of 700,000 tonnes and will include a sorting stage,” the administration said.
According to Deputy Chairman of the Kyiv City Administration Petro Panteleyev, Kyiv has clear plans for gradually quitting the technology of waste disposal as obsolete and environmentally dangerous one.
He also recalled that the National Waste Management Strategy was adopted in October 2017, and the National Plan in February 2019.
“The updated legislative base works only a few months. Nevertheless, the Kyiv city is preparing its own regional waste management plan for Kyiv. This is a comprehensive document, being agreed with the Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Economy Ministry and the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry,” the deputy head of the administration said.
In addition, Panteleyev said that Kyiv had refused placing a waste recycling plant near combined heat and power plant 6 (CHPP-6) in Troyeschyna district (Desniansky district of Kyiv).
“I want to immediately say that there was no speculation and gossip. The city refused to build a waste recycling plant near CHPP-6,” the deputy head of the administration said.
DTEK Energy Holding plans to build two wind farms – Tylihulska wind farm LLC (in the territory of Anatolivka, Krasnopillia and Tashyne rural councils of Berezanka district of Mykolaiv region) with a capacity of 500 MW and Tylihulska wind farm 2 LLC (in the territory of Tashyne rural council) with a capacity of 65 MW, according to a register of environmental impact assessment.
Under the Tylihulska wind farm project it is planned to install up to 130 wind turbines with a capacity of 3.9-6 MW 700-1,500 meters far from each other. The height of the tower is 105-157 meters.
In addition, it is planned to build up to 10 110/35 kV substations, a 35 kV and /or 110 kV overhead power line of 100 km long, as well as 35 kV and /or 110 kV underground power lines of 150 km long.
The total construction area will be 35,000 ha.
Under the Tylihulska wind farm 2 project it is planned to install up to 17 turbines with a capacity of 3.9-6 MW 700-1,500 meters far from each other. The height of the tower is 105-157 meters. It is also planned to build a 35 kV and /or 110 kV overhead power line of 20 km long, as well as 35 kV and /or 110 kV underground power lines of 40 km long.
The total construction area will be 3,000 ha.
UDP Renewables (Kyiv) plans by the end of 2019 jointly with Spain’s Acciona Energia Global to build two solar power plants in Odesa region with a capacity of almost 44 MW.
According to a report of UDP Renewables on its Facebook page, the total investment in the projects reached EUR 30.6 million. Construction works will start this week.
New solar power plants Hudzovka-Solar (Izmail) and Artsyz-Solar (the area of Pavlivka rural council) will have the peak capacity of 26 MW and 17.7 MW and the projected capacity of 19.8 MW and 13.5 MW respectively.
As reported, UDP Renewables is part of the UFuture Investment Group with its head office in Brussels, which was established in the fall of 2017 and brought together business projects of Vasyl Khmelnytsky.
In June 2018, UDP Renewables announced an agreement with Acciona Energia Global on a joint project to expand the Dymerka solar power plant to 57.6 MW by introducing its second, third and fourth phases. The first phase of the station with a capacity of 6 MW was launched by UDP Renewables in September 2017. Currently, Acciona is the only participant in this project through Dymerka Solar Poland.
MS Social Project LLC (Kyiv), part of ICU Group, has announced the construction of Ukraine’s largest plant for recycling unsorted household solid waste using a special technology in Zhytomyr.
“The plant is expected to process about 82,000 tonnes of waste annually,” according to a report the company’s website.
“The technology provides for a closed semi-automatic waste treatment system consisting, in particular, of an installation for processing mixed and pre-sorted waste, a technology for the production, grinding and packaging of RDF fuel (for cement plants), a plant for processing biodegradable waste and eco-compost production, sites for recycling household and construction waste, as well as roof solar panels. The possibility of compost production using an anaerobic process is being considered,” the report says.
The processing depth of this technology is expected to reach 85–95%.
MS Social Project announced its intention to build the plant in July 2018, the investment volume was estimated at EUR 7-10 million.
Energo Impulse Ukraine LLC (Kyiv) intends to build solar power stations in Uman district of Cherkasy region for $30 million by the end of 2019.
According to the press service of Uman District State Administration, this was announced at a meeting of head of the district state administration Yevhen Danchenko with the company’s management.
According to the press service, Energo Impulse Ukraine has rented three land plots of about 80 hectares in the area of the Kolodyste village, which is part of Ladyzhynka united territorial community. It is assumed that the investor will pay about UAH 1 million per year to the local budget.
Energo Impulse Ukraine is part of the Pan Energo group of companies.
Hvizd-MP LLC (Ivano-Frankivsk region) intends to build a wind power station with a capacity of 9 MW in Nadvirna district of Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Information on the developed project was posted in the single register of environmental impact assessment.
In January 2019 Nadvirna District State Administration approved urban planning conditions and restrictions for the project implementation on a site of 0.09 hectares.
Within the framework of the project, it is planned to install three modern wind electrical turbines with a capacity of 3 MW each. The planned height of the tower is 80-140 meters.
In addition, it is planned to build a 110 kW underground power grid with a length of about 3.5 km. Electricity generated at the wind power station will be transported to the 35 kV Starunia 35/10 distribution substation.
