Ukraine exported 3,870 tonnes of cheese in January-June 2018, which was 6.1% less than in the same period in 2017.
According to customs statistics released by the State Fiscal Service (GFS), cheese exports in monetary terms increased by 1.1%, to $14.51 million.
Cheese imports in January-June 2018 totaled 5,460 tonnes, which is 26.3% higher than the same period in 2017. Cheese imports in monetary terms increased by 42.1%, to $ 27.17 million.
Exports of creamery butter from Ukraine in January-June 2018 increased by 40.3%, to 17,210 tonnes. This indicator in monetary terms increased by1.7 times, to $73.99 million. Butter imports grew by 2.2 times, to 516 tonnes ($ 3.4 million).
Exports of condensed milk and cream in January-June 2018 decreased by 25.4%, to 17,400 tonnes. Ukraine shipped condensed milk and cream worth $28.93 million abroad, this is compared to $40.41 million in January-June 2017. Imports of this group of products increased by 1.6 times to 1,000 tonnes ($2.47 million).
As reported with reference to customs statistics, Ukraine in 2017 exported 9,050 tonnes of cheese, which is 12% more than in 2016. Imports of cheese into the country rose by 42%, to 10,000 tonnes.
Ukraine exported 2,670 tonnes of cheese in January-April 2018, which is 7.8% more than in the same period in 2017. According to customs statistics released by the State Fiscal Service, in monetary terms exports increased by 20%, to $10.18 million. Cheese imports in January-April 2018 amounted to 3,730 tonnes, which is 31.7% more than in the same period in 2017. In monetary terms this figure increased by 1.5 times, to $19.01 million.
Exports of butter from Ukraine in January-April of this year increased by 2.2 times, to 12,160 tonnes. In monetary terms the figure amounted to $52 million against $19.97 million in the same period in 2017. Butter imports rose by 2.4 times, to 393 tonnes ($2.53 million).
Exports of milk and cream (condensed) in January-April 2018 decreased by 1.4 times, to 9,830 tonnes. Ukraine supplied condensed milk and cream for a total of $16.69 million, which is 1.5 times less than in January-April 2017.
Ukraine in January-March 2018 exported 1,920 tonnes of cheese, which is 23.9% more than in the same period in 2017. According to customs statistics released by the State Fiscal Service, in monetary terms exports increased by 1.4 times, to $7.23 million.
Imports of cheese in January-March 2018 amounted to 2,830 tonnes of cheese, which is 39.4% more than in the same period in 2017. In monetary terms, this figure grew by 1.6 times, to $14.44 million.
Export of butter from Ukraine in January-March increased by 2.6 times, to 9,070 tonnes. In monetary terms, it amounted to $38.7 million compared to $12.77 million for the same period in 2017. Imports of this commodity, according to the service, grew by 2.75 times, to 297 tonnes ($1.82 million).
Export of milk and cream (condensed) in January-March 2018 decreased by 1.3 times, to 7,720 tonnes. Ukraine supplied condensed milk and cream for a total of $13.12 million, which is 26.8% less than in January-March 2017.
