UKRAINE COAL PRODUCTION GOES DOWN BY 1.8%

Coal mining enterprises of Ukraine in January 2022 reduced production of coal by 1.8% (by 46,800 tonnes) compared to the same period last year – to 2.534 million tonnes, according to the data of the Energy Ministry.
According to the calculations of the Interfax-Ukraine agency, in particular coal mining enterprises under the control of the ministry last month reduced production by 0.2% – to 329,600 tonnes.
The mines of Donetsk region in January 2022 ensured the production of 1.053 million tonnes of coal (down 4.8% compared to January 2021), Luhansk region – 21,200 tonnes (down 1%), Dnipropetrovsk – 1.386 million tonnes (up 3.6%), Lviv region – 68,800 tonnes (down 39%), Volyn region – 4,200 tonnes (up 3.1 times).
As reported, Ukraine in 2021 increased production of coal by 2% compared to 2020 – to 29.388 million tonnes. Production of steam coal amounted to 22.153 million tonnes, coking coal – 7.234 million tonnes.

COAL ENERGY RAISES COAL PRODUCTION BY 16%

Coal Energy S.A. (Luxembourg) with assets in Ukraine in June 2018 increased coal production by 16.2% (by 1,698 tonnes) compared to the same period in 2017, to 12,150 tonnes, the company said on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
Compared to the previous month, production increased by 1.4% (by 171 tonnes), the report says.
Coal Energy unites ten coal mines, rock dumps processing facilities and objects for enrichment. The company’s business was significantly affected by hostilities in Donbas.

COAL ENERGY S.A. (LUXEMBOURG) BOOSTS COAL PRODUCTION BY 6.5 TIMES IN MARCH

Coal Energy S.A. (Luxembourg) with assets in Ukraine in March 2018 boosted coal production by 6.5 times, or by 10,997 tonnes, compared to the same period in 2017, to 13,007 tonnes, the company said on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
Compared to February 2018, production increased by 75.6%, or by 5,599 tonnes, it said.
As reported, Coal Energy includes ten coal mines, rock dumps processing facilities and objects for enrichment. The company’s business was significantly affected by hostilities in Donbas.
