PRICES FOR CONSTRUCTION WORK IN UKRAINE 7.8% UP

Prices for construction and assembly work in Ukraine in January-September 2019 increased by 7.8% compared with January-September 2018. According to the State Statistics Service, the indicators are given without taking into account the annexed territory of Crimea and Sevastopol, as well as part of the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
According to statistics, since the beginning of the year, prices have risen in all segments of construction. So, in residential construction the growth was 9.8%, in non-residential some 6.6%, and in engineering 7%.
In September 2019 from September 2018, the cost of construction work in residential construction rose by 6.4%, in non-residential by 1.9%, and in engineering by 3.1%.
In addition, the State Statistics Service said that in September compared with August, the cost of construction of residential buildings increased slightly by 0.3%, engineering structures by 3.1%, while non-residential decreased by 0.3%.
According to the report, in 2018 prices for construction work in Ukraine increased by 23% compared to the previous year, while in 2017 by 13.4%.

VOLUME OF CONSTRUCTION WORK IN UKRAINE 8.9% UP

The volume of construction work in Ukraine in August 2019 increased by 8.9% compared to August 2018, while in July 2019 from July 2018 this figure rose by 14.5%.
According to the State Statistics Service, the data are given excluding the occupied territory of Crimea and Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
According to the statistics agency, the volume of construction work in August 2019 decreased by 11.5% compared with August 2019, while this figure grew by 3.3% compared to June 2019.
According to the State Statistics Service, in August 2019 compared with August 2018, the volume of work increased in nonresidential and engineering construction. According to the unadjusted data, the growth in nonresidential construction was 21.8%, and in engineering some 10.4%. The decline in in residential construction was 11.5%.
In addition, the service said that in August, the volume of work in construction of residential buildings compared with July decreased by 27.8%, engineering structures by 11.9%, and nonresidential increased by 2.4%.
In January-August 2019 compared with January-August 2018, the drop in the volume of construction work was recorded in three regions of Ukraine, in particular, in Ivano-Frankivsk (9.7%, to UAH 1.767 billion), Cherkasy (by 0.8%, to UAH 1.054 billion) and Odesa (by 8.8%, to UAH 9.31 billion).
The largest growth in the volume of construction works during the eight months of 2019 was recorded in Vinnytsia (2.1 times, to UAH 4.805 billion), Chernihiv (1.68 times, to UAH 1.026 billion), and Kherson regions (1.45 times, to UAH 1.132 billion).
In Kyiv, the volume of construction work over the eight months of this year increased by 24.7% and amounted to UAH 23.084 billion.

VOLUME OF CONSTRUCTION WORK IN UKRAINE IN MAY INCREASES BY 15.7%

The volume of construction work performed in Ukraine in May 2019 increased by 15.7% compared with May 2018, while the indicator in April 2019 compared with April 2018 rose by 29.4%. According to the agency, the volume of construction work performed in May 2019 increased by 6.3% compared with April 2019 (according to seasonally adjusted data decreased by 4.1%), while in April 2019 it dropped by 4.1% compared with March 2019.
According to the report, in May 2019 compared with May 2018 the volume of construction work decreased only in residential construction and in engineering – by 13.4% and 25.6% respectively.
Nonresidential construction in May 2019 rose by 28.9%.

VOLUME OF CONSTRUCTION WORK IN UKRAINE 30% UP IN APRIL

The volume of construction work performed in Ukraine in April 2019 increased by 29.4% compared with April 2018, while the indicator in March 2019 compared with March 2018 rose by 29.7%.
The State Statistics Service said that the data are given excluding the occupied territory of Crimea and the temporarily uncontrolled territories in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
According to the agency, the volume of construction work performed in April 2019 decreased by 4.1% compared with March 2019 (according to seasonally adjusted data by 3.2%), while in March 2019 it grew by 3% compared with February 2019.
According to the report, in April 2019 compared with April 2018 the volume of construction work decreased only in residential construction and in engineering – by 3.1% and 44.5% respectively.
Nonresidential construction in April 2019 rose by 41%.

The volume of construction work performed in Ukraine in March 2019 increased by 29.7% compared with March 2018, while the indicator in February 2019 compared with February 2018 grew by 19.4%, according to statistics.
The State Statistics Service said that the data are given excluding the occupied territory of Crimea and the temporarily uncontrolled territories in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
According to the agency, the volume of construction work performed in March 2019 increased by 3% compared with February 2019.
According to the report, in March 2019 compared with March 2018 the volume of construction work decreased in residential construction – by 14.9%.
Nonresidential construction in March 2019 rose by 47.2% and in engineering – by 54.1%.
In March 2019 compared with February 2019, the volume of residential construction grew by 15%, nonresidential construction by 32.1%, and in engineering it grew by 37.7%.

According to the data, the volume of construction work performed in March 2019 increased by 3% compared with February 2019.
