Ukrainian enterprises in January-September this year reduced imports of copper and copper products in value terms by 62% compared to the same period last year – to $47.502 million.
According to customs statistics released by the State Customs Service of Ukraine, exports of copper and copper products over the specified period decreased by 55.5% to $71.226 million.
In September, copper and copper products were imported in the amount of $5.758 million, exported – in the amount of $7.083 million.
In addition, Ukraine in January-September 2022 reduced imports of nickel and products from it by 44.4% compared to January-September 2021 – to $49.3 million (in September – $4.664 million), aluminum and products from it – by 30.8%, to $239.539 million ($32.357 million). At the same time, it reduced the import of lead and products from it by 65.1% – to $2.395 million ($146 thousand). The import of tin and products from it fell by 8% – to $2.789 million ($322 thousand), and the import of zinc and zinc products – by 58.5%, up to $28.225 million ($2.090 million).
Exports of aluminum and products from it for the first nine months of 2022 decreased by 36.4% compared to January-September 2021 – to $75.861 million (in September – $9.406 million), lead and products from it by 67.2% – to $9.370 million ($0.684 million), nickel and products – by 69.2%, to $1.079 million ($0.141 million).
Export of zinc for the reporting period amounted to $1.302 million (no export was carried out in August-September), while in January-September 2021 it was $132 thousand. Export of tin and products in January-September 2022 amounted to $420 thousand (in September – $24 thousand) against $87 thousand for January-September-2021.
As reported, Ukraine in 2021 increased copper imports in value terms by 59% compared to 2020 – up to $183.161 million, exports of copper and copper products over the specified period increased by 2.4 times compared to 2020 – up to $206.390 million.
In 2021, Ukraine also increased the import of nickel and products from it by 45.8% compared to 2020 – up to $119.154 million, aluminum and products from it – by 30.2%, to $511.190 million. At the same time, it reduced the import of lead and products of it by 7.8% – up to $8.512 million, increased imports of tin and products from it by 75.2%, up to $4.977 million, and also increased zinc and zinc products – by 62.9%, up to $93.635 million.
Exports of aluminum and products from it in 2021 increased by 53.9% – to $169.094 million, lead and products from it by 52.8% – to $38.229 million, nickel and products – by 55%, to $4.856 million.
Zinc exports last year amounted to $550 thousand, while in 2020 it was $69 thousand (an increase of eight times). Export of tin and products in 2021 amounted to $346,000 against $117,000 in 2020.
In January-August this year, Ukrainian enterprises reduced imports of copper and copper products in value terms by 61.7% compared to the same period last year, to $41.745 million.
According to customs statistics released by the State Customs Service of Ukraine, exports of copper and copper products over the specified period decreased by 55.3% to $64.143 million.
In August, copper and copper products were imported in the amount of $7.337 million, exported – in the amount of $4.442 million.
In addition, Ukraine in January-August 2022 reduced imports of nickel and products from it by 42% compared to January-August 2021 – to $44.635 million (in August – $7.438 million), aluminum and products from it – by 29.7 %, to $207.180 million ($35.390 million). At the same time, it reduced the import of lead and products from it by 63.7% – to $2.249 million ($151 thousand). The import of tin and products from it fell by 5% – to $2.468 million ($247 thousand), and the import of zinc and zinc products – by 56.2%, up to $26.135 million ($2.460 million).
Export of aluminum and products from it for eight months of 2022 decreased by 36.4% compared to January-August 2021 – to $66.455 million (in August – $8.798 million), lead and products from it by 64.3% – to $8.686 million ($0.199 million), nickel and products – by 59.3%, to $1.339 million ($0.073 million).
Export of zinc for the reporting period amounted to $1.302 million (no export was carried out in August), while in January-August 2021 it was $70 thousand. Export of tin and products in January-August 2022 amounted to $396 thousand (in August – $5 thousand). ) against $17 thousand for January-August-2021.

According to customs statistics released by the State Customs Service of Ukraine, export of copper and copper products in January-July 2021 increased by 3.2 times compared to January-July 2020, to $ 126.782 million.
In July, copper and copper products were imported for $ 14.791 million, exported – for $ 18.178 million.
In addition, Ukraine in January-July 2021 increased imports of nickel and products made of it by 56.7% compared to the same period in 2020, to $ 67.028 million (in July – $ 8.814 million), aluminum and products made of it – by 18%, to $ 248.677 million ($ 43.020 million). At the same time, it increased import of lead and products made of it by 52.5%, to $ 5.459 million ($ 604,000), increased import of tin and products made of it by 66.7%, to $ 2.189 million ($ 624,000), and also increased import of zinc and zinc products by 84.6%, to $ 51.145 million ($ 8.551 million).
Export of aluminum and products made of it in the seven months of 2021 grew by 53% compared to the same period in 2020, to $ 89.410 million (in July – $ 12.782 million), lead and products made of it by 58.9%, to $ 20.608 million ($ 3.231 million), nickel and products – by 97.7%, to $ 3.01 million ($ 620,000).
Zinc export in January-July 2021 amounted to $ 54,000 (in July – $ 5,000), while in January-July 2020 it amounted to $ 55,000. Export of tin and products in January-July 2021 amounted to $ 15,000 (in July – $ 1,000) against $ 83,000 for the seven months of 2020.
Ukrainian enterprises in January-June of this year increased imports of copper and copper products in monetary terms by 75.1% compared to the same period last year, to $79.083 million.
According to customs statistics released by the State Customs Service of Ukraine, exports of copper and copper products in the first half of the year increased 3.3 times compared to January-June 2020, to $108.769 million.
In June, copper and copper products were imported for $14.675 million, and exported – for $20.395 million.
In addition, Ukraine in January-June 2021 increased imports of nickel and nickel products by 58.3% compared to the same period in 2020, to $58.214 million (in June – $15.928 million), and aluminum and aluminum products by 14.4%, to $205.891 million ($38.258 million). At the same time, it increased imports of lead and lead products by 88%, to $4.855 million ($0.025 million), increased imports of tin and tin products by 47.7%, to $1.566 million ($196,000), and also increased imports of zinc and zinc products by 90.4%, to $42.594 million ($7.030 million).
Exports of aluminum and aluminum products in the first half of 2021 increased by 57.2% compared to the same period in 2020, to $76.632 million (in June – $15.138 million), lead and lead products by 61.7%, to $17.377 million ($3.333 million), and nickel and nickel products by 80.7%, to $2.391 million ($0.426 million).
Zinc exports in January-June 2021 amounted to $48,000 (in June – $31,000), while in January-June 2020 they amounted to $21,000. Exports of tin and tin products in January-June 2021 amounted to $14,000 (in June – $3,000) versus $82,000 in the first half of 2020.
Ukrainian enterprises in January-May this year increased imports of copper and copper products in value terms by 80.3% compared to the same period last year, to $64.408 million.
According to customs statistics released by the State Customs Service of Ukraine on Wednesday, exports of copper and copper products over the first five months of the year increased by 3.1 times, to $88.374 million.
In May, copper and copper products were imported for $14.212 million, and exported – for $20.323 million.
In addition, Ukraine in January-May 2021 increased imports of nickel and nickel products by 34.3% compared to the same period in 2020, to $42.286 million (in May – $9.536 million), and aluminum and aluminum products by 13.6%, to $167.566 million ($37.505 million). At the same time, it increased imports of lead and lead products by 2.9 times, to $4.830 million ($227,000), tin and tin products – by 58.1%, to $1.369 million ($224,000), and zinc and zinc products – by 98.8%, to $35.565 million ($7.426 million).
Exports of aluminum and aluminum products in January-May 2021 increased by 52.7% compared to January-May 2020, to $61.494 million (in May – $11.943 million), lead and lead products by 57.9% – to $14.044 million ($1.684 million), and nickel and products – by 52.2%, to $1.966 million ($599,000).
Zinc exports in January-May 2021 amounted to $17,000 (there was no export in May), while in January-May 2020 they amounted to $21,000. Exports of tin and tin products in January-May 2020 amounted to $11,000 (in May – $3,000), while in January-May 2020 – $48,000.
Ukrainian enterprises in January-April this year increased the import of copper and copper products by 68% compared to the same period last year, to $50.196 million.
According to customs statistics released by the State Customs Service of Ukraine on Tuesday, the export of copper and copper products in the first four months of the year tripled, to $68.051 million.
In April, copper and copper products were imported for $14.532 million, exported – for $21.201 million.
