Ukrainian enterprises increased imports of copper and copper products in terms of money by 22.1% in January-July 2019 compared with similar period of 2018, to $63.366 million.
Exports of copper and copper products decreased 48.3% over the year to $52.164 million, according to customs statistics released by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.
In July, copper and copper products were imported to the tune of $10.336 million, and copper exports were estimated at $5.990 million.
In addition, through seven months of 2019 Ukraine decreased imports of nickel and products made of it by 10.1%, to $52.833 million (imports in July were estimated at $8.520 million), while imports of aluminum and products made of it increased 8.4%, to $228.420 million ($40.390million). Imports of lead and products made of it decreased by 1.7%, to $7.481 million ($1.143 million) and imports of tin and products made of it decreased 17.4%, to $2.038 million ($377,000). Imports of zinc and zinc goods decreased 18.7%, to $41.868 million ($9.384 million).
Exports of aluminum and products made of it decreased 27.4% in January-July 2019, to $60.540 million ($9.177 million in July alone), while shipments of lead abroad decreased 34.1%, to $14.914 million ($2.432 million). Exports of nickel fell by 39.8%, to $3.267 million ($0.274 million in July).
Zinc exports in January-July 2019 amounted to $385,000 ($28,000 in July) compared to $148,000 in January-July 2018.
Exports of tin and products made of it in January-July 2019 were estimated at $30,000 (some $1,000 in July) compared to $269,000 in January-July 2018.
Ukrainian enterprises increased imports of copper and copper products in terms of money by 22.2% in January-May 2019 compared with January-May 2018, to $43.232 million. Exports of copper and copper products decreased 47.5% over the year to $39.288 million, according to customs statistics released by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.
In May, copper and copper products were imported to the tune of $7.22 million, and copper exports were estimated at $10.171 million.
In addition, Ukraine in January-May 2019 increased imports of nickel and products made of it by 0.4%, to $39.061 million (imports in May were estimated at $8.952 million), while imports of aluminum and products made of it increased 10.8%, to $159.035 million ($36.524 million). Imports of, lead and products made of it rose by 23.8%, to $5.289 million ($1.039 million) and imports of tin and products made of it decreased 33.5%, to $1.42 ($0.403 million). Imports of zinc and zinc goods decreased 30.5%, to $26.458 million ($6.775 million).
Exports of aluminum and products made of it decreased 29% in January-May 2019, to $41.995 million ($10.135 million in May alone), while shipments of lead abroad decreased 32%, to $10.949 million ($3.112 million). Exports of nickel fell by 20.1%, to $2.519 million ($0.847 million in May).
Zinc exports in January-May 2019 amounted to $0.332 million (some $0.101 million in May) compared to $0.061 million in January-May 2018.
Exports of tin and products made of it in January-May 2019 were estimated at $0.027 million (some $0.004 million in May) compared to $0.268 million in January-May 2018.
Ukrainian enterprises increased imports of copper and copper products in terms of money by 19.7% in January-March 2019 compared with January-March 2018, to $27.419 million.
Exports of copper and copper products decreased 57.4% over the year to $19.412 million, according to customs statistics released by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.
In March, copper and copper products were imported to the tune of $11.753 million, and copper exports were estimated at $7.739 million.
In addition, Ukraine in January-March 2019 increased imports of nickel and products made of it by 3.4%, to $24.133 million (imports in March were estimated at $8.338 million), while imports of aluminum and products made of it fell by 4.4%, to $78.605 million ($27.829 million). Imports of, lead and products made of it rose by 11.8%, to $3.193 million ($0.918 million) and imports of tin and products made of it decreased 38%, to $0.809 ($0.45 million). Imports of zinc and zinc goods decreased 43.1%, to $12.237 million ($4.986 million).
Exports of aluminum and products made of it decreased 33.5% in January-March 2019, to $23.888 million ($8.836 million in March alone), while shipments of lead abroad decreased 49.8%, to $5.285 million ($2.302 million). Exports of nickel fell by 70.8%, to $0.671 million ($0.265 million in March).
Zinc exports in January-March 2019 amounted to $0.197 million (some $0.111 million in March) compared to $0.042 million in January-March 2018.
Exports of tin and products made of it in January-March 2019 were estimated at $0.02 million (some $0.005 million in March) compared to $0.257 million in January-March 2018.
Ukrainian enterprises increased imports of copper and copper products in terms of money by 51.8% in January 2019 compared with January 2018, to $8.22 million. Exports of copper and copper products decreased 57.5% over the year to $6.278 million, according to customs statistics released by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.
In December, copper and copper products were imported to the tune of $10,327 million, and copper exports were estimated at $7.130 million.
In addition, Ukraine in January 2019 boosted imports of nickel and products made of it by 55.9%, to $9.235 million (imports in December were estimated at $4.566 million), while imports of aluminum and products made of it fell by 2.8%, to $23.378 million ($33.745 million). Imports of, lead and products made of it rose by 5.1-fold, to $1.074 million ($1.195 million) and imports of zinc and zinc goods decreased 67.8%, to $112,000 ($378,000). At the same time, imports of tin and products made of it decreased 46.3%, to $3.674 million ($4.302 million).
Exports of aluminum and products made of it decreased 34.1% in January 2019, to $6.623 million ($7.902 million in December alone), while shipments of lead abroad decreased 62.4%, to $1.395 million ($1.773 million). Exports of nickel fell by 4.4%, to $175,000 ($541,000 in December).
Zinc exports in January 2019 amounted to $39,000 (some $28,000 in December 2018) compared to $7,000 in January 2018.
Exports of tin and products made of it in January 2019 were estimated at $3,000 (some $1,000 in December) compared to no exports in January 2018.
Ukrainian enterprises in January-June 2018 increased copper and copper products imports in money terms by 6.5% year-over-year, to $42.566 million. According to the customs statistics released by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, exports of copper and copper products in the first six months of the year increased by 43.8%, to $87.590 million.
In June alone, copper and copper products were imported to the amount of $7.189 million, exports were estimated at $12.736 million.
In addition, Ukraine in January-June increased imports of nickel and its products by 18.9%, to $47.603 million ($8.715 million in June alone), reduced imports of aluminum and products from it by 2.2%, to $ 175.507 million ($31,950 million), and boosted imports of lead and its products by 90.3%, to $5.663 million ($1.390 million). Imports of tin and products from it grew by 10.3%, to $ 2.346 million ($211,000) and those of zinc and zinc products by 30%, to $44.566 million ($6.480 million).
Exports of aluminum and its products in January-June 2018 increased by 22.8%, to $ 71.462 million ($12.319 million in June), those of lead and products from it decreased by 18.6% to $19.414 million ($3.320 million). Exports of nickel and products grew by 24.3%, to $4.179 million ($1.026 million in June).
Exports of zinc in January-June 2018 amounted to $118,000 ($17,000 in June), while in January-June-2017 they were estimated at $44,000. Shipments of tin and goods made of it abroad in January-June 2018 amounted to $269,000 (tin was not exported in June), whereas in January-June-2017 tin exports stood at $148,000.
