Ukrainian enterprises reduced the import of copper and copper products in value terms by 6.1% in January-August 2020 compared to the same period in 2019, to $70.577 million.
According to customs statistics released by the State Customs Service of Ukraine, export of copper and copper products decreased 18.1%, to $47.687 million in the first eight months of 2020.
In August, copper and copper products were imported in the tune of $12.224 million, exported to the tune of $7.759 million.
In addition, Ukraine in January-August reduced the import of nickel and nickel products by 19.2% compared to the same period in 2019, to $47.1 million (in August amounted to $4.321 million), aluminum and aluminum products by 5%, to $248.561 million ($37.751 million). At the same time, the import of lead and lead products decreased 51.1%, to $4.358 million ($779,000), tin and tin products decreased 39.6%, to $1.421 million ($107,000), zinc and zinc products decreased by 35.6%, to $31.493 million ($3.791 million).
In January-August 2020, export of aluminum and aluminum products decreased 4.2% compared with January-August 2019, to $66.746 million (in August amounted to $8.302 million), lead and lead products fell by 9.6%, to $15.225 million ($2.256 million), nickel and nickel products decreased by 52%, to $1.67 million ($147,000). Zinc exports in January-August 2020 amounted to $56,000, while in the same period of 2019 amounted to $416,000 (in August no zinc was exported). The export of tin and tin products in January-August 2020 amounted to $90,000, while in the same period of 2019 amounted to $30,000 (the export amounted to $6,000 in August).

According to customs statistics, released by the State Customs Service of Ukraine, export of copper and copper products decreased by 15.9%, to $9.814 million in the first two months of 2020.
In February, copper and copper products were imported to the tune of $8.450 million, exported to the tune of $5.895 million.
In addition, Ukraine in January and February of 2020 reduced the import of nickel and nickel products by 11.3% compared to the same month of 2019, to $14.008 million (in February amounted to $6.034 million), but increased the import of aluminum and aluminum products by 13.7%, to $57.714 million ($30.315 million). At the same time, the import of lead and lead products decreased by 60.6%, to $896,000 ($364,000), while tin and tin products grew by 24.5%, to $447,000 ($295,000), zinc and zinc products rose by 4.3%, to $7.562 million ($3.331 million).
In January and February of 2020, exports of aluminum and aluminum products increased by 11.9%, compared to the same period of 2019, to $16.839 million (in February amounted to $9.679 million), lead and lead products increased by 73.7%, to $5.179 million ($2.672 million), nickel and nickel products increased by 18.2%, to $480,000 ($320,000). Zinc exports in January and February of 2020 amounted to $11,000, while in the same period of 2019 amounted to $86,000 (in February amounted to $8,000). The export of tin and tin products in January and February of 2020 amounted to $16,000, while in the same period of 2019 amounted to $15,000 (there was no export in February).

Ukrainian enterprises increased imports of copper and copper products in terms of money by 16.2% in January 2020 compared with similar period of 2019, to $6.888 million.
Exports of copper and copper products decreased 37.6% over the year to $3.919 million, according to customs statistics released by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.
In December, copper and copper products were imported to the tune of $9.995 million, and copper exports were estimated at $6.831 million.
In addition, in January 2020, Ukraine decreased imports of nickel and products made of it by 13.7%, to $7.974 million (imports in December were estimated at $5.429 million), while imports of aluminum and products made of it increased 17.2%, to $27.399 million ($32.729 million). Imports of lead and products made of it decreased by 50.5%, to $0.532 million ($1.07 million) and imports of tin and products made of it increased 35.7%, to $0.152 million ($0.353 million). Imports of zinc and zinc goods increased 15.2%, to $4.231 million ($6.805 million).
Exports of aluminum and products made of it increased 8.18% in January 2020, to $7.16 million ($7.422 million in December alone), while shipments of lead abroad increased 79.7%, to $2.507 million ($1.98 million). Exports of nickel fell by 8.6%, to $0.16 million ($0.272 million in December).
Zinc exports in January 2020 amounted to $0.003 million, while in January 2019 it was $39,000 ($0.001 million in December). Exports of tin and products made of it in January 2020 were estimated at $0.015 million ($0.008 million in December) compared to $0.003 million in January 2019.
Ukrainian enterprises increased imports of copper and copper products in terms of money by 17.9% in 2019 compared with similar period of 2018, to $124.36 million.
Exports of copper and copper products decreased 42.9% over the year to $79.668 million, according to customs statistics released by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.
In December, copper and copper products were imported to the tune of $9.995 million, and copper exports were estimated at $6.831 million.
In addition, in 2019, Ukraine decreased imports of nickel and products made of it by 11.5%, to $83.27 million (imports in December were estimated at $5.429 million), while imports of aluminum and products made of it increased 9%, to $401.814 million ($32.729 million). Imports of lead and products made of it decreased by 4.6%, to $15.484 million ($1.07 million) and imports of tin and products made of it decreased 18%, to $3.928 million ($0.353 million). Imports of zinc and zinc goods decreased 8.5%, to $75.631 million ($6.805 million).
Exports of aluminum and products made of it decreased 23.8% in 2019, to $100.554 million ($7.422 million in December alone), while shipments of lead abroad decreased 20%, to $27.075 million ($1.98 million). Exports of nickel fell by 44.6%, to $4.505 million ($0.272 million in December).
Zinc exports in 2019 amounted to $0.467 million ($0.001 million in December) compared to $0.363 in 2018. Exports of tin and products made of it in 2019 were estimated at $0.045 million ($0.008 million in December) compared to $0.313 million in 2018.
Ukrainian enterprises increased imports of copper and copper products in terms of money by 23.9% in January-October 2019 compared with similar period of 2018, to $102.527 million. Exports of copper and copper products decreased 45.4% over the year to $63.176 million, according to customs statistics released by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.
In October, copper and copper products were imported to the tune of $14.68 million, and copper exports were estimated at $5.102 million.
In addition, in January-October 2019, Ukraine decreased imports of nickel and products made of it by 16.4%, to $68.821 million (imports in October were estimated at $6.17 million), while imports of aluminum and products made of it increased 1.1%, to $334.166 million ($37.979 million). Imports of lead and products made of it decreased by 1.7%, to $12.682 million ($2.123 million) and imports of tin and products made of it decreased 13.6%, to $3.391 million ($0.545 million). Imports of zinc and zinc goods decreased 14%, to $62.036 million ($5.873 million).
Exports of aluminum and products made of it decreased 26.1% in January-October 2019, to $84.871 million ($7.876 million in October alone), while shipments of lead abroad decreased 24.3%, to $22.396 million ($3.227 million). Exports of nickel fell by 41.1%, to $4.115 million ($0.242 million in October).
Zinc exports in January-October 2019 amounted to $0.463 million ($0.001 million in October) compared to $0.274 in January-October 2018.
Exports of tin and products made of it in January-October 2019 were estimated at $0.034 million ($0.001 million in October) compared to $0.311 million in January-October 2018.
