The borders of 124 countries of the world are open to Ukrainian citizens, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said.
“As of today, the borders of 124 countries of the world are open for the citizens of Ukraine. This summer is much freer in terms of travel than the past. Among the popular tourist destinations, Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Georgia, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, Cyprus, Cuba, the Maldives, the United Arab Emirates, the Seychelles, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, Croatia, Montenegro are already open,” Kuleba said in an online briefing on Wednesday.
He urged citizens to observe safety measures while traveling, first of all, to be vaccinated and to adhere to all entry rules. Kuleba also recalled that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has created a popular resource for Ukrainians tripadvisor.mfa.gov.ua, where all information is promptly updated, and one can get the most accurate data on the conditions of entry or transit.
“Today, in total, 26 European countries are open. This includes the EU and the UK. We will continue to work on opening countries for Ukrainians, this will absolutely remain our priority,” the minister assured.
Fourteen countries of the European Union allowed entry for Ukrainian tourists as part of easing restrictions previously imposed to counter the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus infection.
“Country by country, we are returning the full effect of visa-free travel with the EU. Freedom of travel for Ukrainians is among the priorities of the Foreign Ministry,” said Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said on its Facebook page on Monday.
The Foreign Ministry recalled that recently the EU Council has included Ukraine in the recommended list of third countries, for whose citizens it is proposed to abolish temporary restrictions on non-compulsory travel to the European Union.
“According to the recommendation of the EU Council, European countries began to open up one after another for all types of travel of Ukrainians. In less than two weeks, Denmark, Germany, Belgium, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Slovakia, Slovenia, the Netherlands, France, Sweden, Spain, Portugal were added to the list. In most countries, you need a certificate of complete vaccination or a fresh negative test for entry,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine said.

At the moment, 104 countries of the world are open for the travel of Ukrainians, where one can get, subject to certain rules, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba has said.
“Now 104 countries are open for Ukrainian citizens. Let me remind you that on February 19 there were 95 such countries at the briefing, that is, in a month we added nine countries to this list. Some 104 countries where, subject to certain rules, Ukrainians can now get to,” he said at an online briefing.
Kuleba noted that Iceland, Montenegro, Haiti, Guyana, Bangladesh and Gabon have reopened their borders for Ukrainians.
“The conditions of entry, of course, may include compliance with anti-epidemic requirements. Therefore, I ask you to properly check all the rules of entry, you can do this on our website, which we have created for you – tripadvisor.mfa.gov.ua,” the minister said.
Ukraine’s neighboring countries are in the “red” zone for the situation with coronavirus (COVID-19) disease, according to data on the Health Ministry’s website on Friday.
Among the closest neighbors of Ukraine, the “red” zone includes, in particular, Slovakia (468.4 cases of COVID-19 per 100,000 population), Belarus (222), Poland (196.1), Russia (189.8), Romania (173), Hungary (163.8), and Moldova (172.3).
The “red” zone includes countries with an incidence rate per 100,000 population over the past 14 days higher than in Ukraine (142.3). In total 80 countries.
Portugal, Israel, Spain, Montenegro, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, the United States, Great Britain, Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, Georgia, Austria, Germany, and Canada are also among the countries of the “red” zone.
The list of countries of the “green” zone includes, in particular, Turkey, Bulgaria, Finland, Greece, Japan, India, and Egypt.
