The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (MFA) is withdrawing Charge d’Affaires for Ukraine in Russia Vasyl Pokotylo for consultations due to the recognition by Russia of the independence of certain regions of Donetsk and Luhansk regions that are not controlled by the Ukrainian government.
“Due to the adoption by the Russian leadership of unlawful decisions to recognize the ‘independence’ of the quasi-formations created by it in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine the so-called ‘Luhansk People’s Republic’ and ‘Donetsk People’s Republic,’ Charge d’Affaires of Ukraine in Russia Vasyl Pokotylo was summoned to Ukraine for consultations,” the MFA press service said on Tuesday.
PJSC Energomashspetsstal (Donetsk region), owned by Russia’s Atomenergomash (Rosatom State Corporation), in January-July this year reduced steel production, according to recent data, by 20.5% compared to the same period last year, to 31,000 tonnes.
A source in the industry told Interfax-Ukraine that 2,000 tonnes of steel were produced in July.
As reported, Energomashspetsstal in 2020 increased steel production by 6.8% compared to the previous year, to 63,000 tonnes.
Energomashspetsstal is the largest Ukrainian manufacturer of special cast and forged products of individual and small-scale production for metallurgy, shipbuilding, energy (wind, steam, hydro, nuclear) and general mechanical engineering.

Shakhtar Donetsk FC has defeated the Portuguese Benfica with a score 2:1 at home in the first match of the 1/16 finals of the UEFA Europa League.

Wimax Ltd. (Cyprus) has bought the shares of PJSC Chasiv Yar Refractory Plant (Donetsk region) from the family of former MP Vladyslav Lukyanov (the Party of Regions faction). According to a company report in the information disclosure system of the National Commission on Securities and the Stock Market, on the basis of information received from the National Depository on November 22, 2019, the shares of large shareholders changed.
Thus, the stake of the Lukyanov family members, including Vladyslav, who owned 24.573% of the shares in the plant, Volodymyr (22.901%), Artem (6.654%), and Daria (6.509%) fell to zero.
In turn, the stake in Wimax Ltd. increased from zero to 67.866% of the charter capital of the plant.
As reported, with reference to the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, Vesco Limited (Limassol, Cyprus), which combines the clay mining business of UMG investment company of SCM Group, acquires PJSC Chasiv Yar Refractory Plant. In October 2019, the committee began consideration of the case of concentration in the form of the acquisition by Vesco Limited of the shares in the plant, which provides the buyer with over 50% of the voting shares on the company’s board.
FC Shakhtar Donetsk has beaten Dynamo Kyiv in Kharkiv in the match of the 14th round of the Ukrainian Premier League with 1:0 score. The only goal in the 18th minute was scored by “miners'” defender Serhiy Kryvtsov.
