The Ukrainian government has decided to optimize the issuance of electronic visas (e-Visas), including for citizens of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos, according to the Ukrainian Embassy in Thailand.
“From November 1, 2020, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine will start issuing Ukrainian electronic visas for citizens of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos under a new, modern and convenient procedure,” the embassy said on the Facebook page.
Thus, to apply for an electronic visa, you should register on the MFA web platform https://evisa.mfa.gov.ua/; fill out a questionnaire, upload a photo and scanned copies of documents (passport, invitation, etc.), pay the consular fee with a bank card; receive an e-Visa by e-mail (sent in the PDF format).
It is noted that to enter Ukraine, it is required to print out the received e-Visa and present it with the passport to the border authorities of Ukraine at the checkpoints across the state border.
An electronic visa is issued for a single or double entry to Ukraine for up to 30 days with a business, private, tourist purpose, for medical treatment, activities in the field of culture, science, education, sports, performance of official duties by a foreign journalist or a representative of a foreign media.
From November 1, 2020, Ukrainian electronic visas (e-Visas) will be issued according to a new and convenient procedure, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reports.
“For many foreigners, a meeting with our country begins with obtaining a Ukrainian visa. This first impression should be positive. Foreigners should associate Ukraine with convenient, fast electronic services. So we will not only restart the tourism industry, but also stimulate foreign investment in Ukraine, development of trade, strengthening of contacts between people, and generally making the Ukraine brand more modern and attractive,” said Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.
On August 19, the Government approved the corresponding initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, which is being implemented in pursuance of the order of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to the innovations, the applicant will be able to choose the desired procedure for issuing an e-visa: a usual or an urgent procedure (with a doubling of the tariff rate in case of an urgent procedure). E-Visas will be issued much faster: an urgent electronic visa processing will take only one working day, and the usual processing procedure will be three working days (so far, the processing time for visa applications has reached nine days). In addition to the existing one-time e-Visa, there will be a new type of visa: e-Visa for double entry.
In addition, the differentiated tariff rates of the consular fee are significantly reduced: instead of $85 for a single e-visa, now the consular fee for a single e-Visa will be $20, for a double one – $30.
From August 14 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine begins the centralized registration of Ukrainian electronic visas (e-Visa) for citizens of India, South Africa and the Philippines, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
“The Ukrainian e-Visa is issued for trips to our country for business, private, tourist purposes, for medical treatment, for activities in the field of culture, science, education, sports, as well as for representatives of foreign media,” the statement said.
So, to apply for an electronic visa, you need:
– register on the MFA web platform https://evisa.mfa.gov.ua/ (available from August 14);
– fill in the application form online, upload a photo and scanned copies of documents (passport, invitation, etc.), pay the consular fee with a bank card;
– receive a ready e-Visa by e-mail (sent in pdf format).
It is reported that to enter Ukraine, a person needs to print the e-Visa and show it with the passport to the border authorities of Ukraine at the checkpoints across the state border.
“At the same time, the standard procedure for issuing Ukrainian visas in foreign diplomatic institutions of Ukraine still remains in force for citizens of these states,” the ministry reported
Starting from January 1, 2019, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry will be processing e-visas for nationals of 52 countries using an extended list of purposes for a visit to Ukraine. The department of the ministry’s consular service said in a post on Facebook that the list will include such purposes as business trips, private visits, tourist trips, trips for medical treatment, trips for carrying out activities in culture, science, education, and sports, as well as trips by foreign media journalists visiting Ukraine as part of their job.
The nationals of the following countries are entitled to apply for e-visas to Ukraine: Australia, the Bahamas, Bahrain, Barbados, Belize, Bhutan, Bolivia, Cambodia, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Fiji, Grenada, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Indonesia, Jamaica, Kiribati, Kuwait, Laos, Malaysia, the Maldives, the Marshall Islands, Mauritius, Mexico, Micronesia, Myanmar, Nauru, Nepal, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Oman, Palau, Peru, Saint Lucia, Samoa, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles, Singapore, Solomon Islands, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu, Vanuatu,
The process of getting e-visas has remained as simple as possible. To obtain an e-visa, one needs to sign up at the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry’s website at https://evisa.mfa.gov.ua/, fill out an application form there, upload a recent photograph and scanned copies of their documents (a passport, an invitation, etc.), and pay a consular fee online with a banking card. The issued e-visas will be sent to the applicants’ email addresses in a PDF format.
In order to be granted entry into Ukraine, foreign visitors will have to print out their granted e-visas and present them along with their valid passports to Ukrainian border guards upon arrival to Ukraine (e-visas are only valid for entry through international checkpoints on the Ukrainian state border).
E-visas are to be issued within nine working days. The consular fee is $85. The e-visas will be issued for a single trip lasting up to 30 days.
Ukraine on April 4 launches an online registration service for citizens of 46 states of electronic visas (e-visa) for entry with business or tourist purposes, the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has reported. “We are making Ukraine even closer to the world. Today we have launched an electronic visa. Citizens of 46 countries can now apply for a visa to Ukraine without leaving home,” Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin wrote on Twitter. The Foreign Ministry instructs that to fill out an e-Visa, one need to take a few simple steps without leaving home: fill out an online application form, download scanned copies of the required documents, pay by bank card (MasterCard Worldwide or Visa International) and print out electronic visa which was e-mailed to you.
Remote submission of documents at any convenient time and receipt of an e-Visa without the need to visit a consular office, the possibility of online tracking of the e-Visa application status, centralized registration of all e-visas in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine are benefits of e-Visa.
Processing time – up to nine business days; fee – $65; the term of validity – single entry for up to 30 days.
E-Visas are introduced for citizens of the following states: Australia, Antigua and Barbuda, the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, Barbados, Bahrain, Bolivia, Bhutan, Vanuatu, Haiti, Guatemala, Honduras, Greenland, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Indonesia, Cambodia, Qatar, Costa Rica, Kuwait, Laos, Mauritius, Malaysia, Maldives, Mexico, Micronesia, Myanmar, Nepal, Nicaragua, New Zealand, Oman, Palau, Peru, El Salvador, Samoa, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia, Singapore, Suriname, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu, Fiji, Jamaica.
