Over the past day, June 29, some 81,637 people were vaccinated against the coronavirus (COVID-19) disease in Ukraine, while 21,475 Ukrainians received the first dose of the vaccine, and 60,162 received the second, the press service of the Ministry of Health reports. “Some 81,637 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 per day on June 29, 2021. Some 21,475 people received the first dose, and 60,162 people were fully immunized. Some 518 mobile teams, 1,336 vaccination points, and two vaccination centers worked during the day,” the ministry said on Telegram.
It is noted that as of June 29, 2021, some 756,424 people were on the waiting list for vaccination against COVID-19.
“Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 1.934 million people have been vaccinated, of which 1.933.944 received the first dose, and 649,524 people were fully immunized and received two doses [two of them received the first dose abroad]. A total of 2.583 million vaccinations were carried out,” the Ministry of Health said.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has taken a number of measures to counter the Delta strain coronavirus, in particular, foreigners and stateless persons over 12 years of age arriving in the country from India, the U.K. and Northern Ireland, the Russian Federation and Portugal are obliged to do antigen tests, according to a posting on the website of the Ministry of Health with reference to Deputy Minister of Health, Chief State Sanitary Doctor Ihor Kuzin.
Over the past day, June 17, some 81,713 people have been vaccinated against coronavirus infection in Ukraine, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine reports on the Telegram channel.
Some 57,970 people received one dose, 23,743 people were fully immunized.
During the day, 618 mobile teams and 964 vaccination stations worked.
Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 1,652,055 people have been vaccinated, of which 1,652,053 people received one dose, 337,345 people were fully immunized and received two doses (two of them received one dose abroad). A total of 1,989,398 inoculations were carried out.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine extended quarantine in Ukraine until August 31, 2021 and established new quarantine restrictions at the Wednesday meeting, the Health Ministry’s press service has said.
According to the statement, a “green” level of epidemic danger is established throughout the country, at which the mask regime is maintained in public transport during mass events.
The work of catering, entertainment venues (nightclubs), cinemas and halls of other culture sectors, as well as other public events are allowed, provided that the mask regime is observed.
Minister of Finance Serhiy Marchenko criticized head of the Ministry of Health Maksym Stepanov for poor planning of measures to combat COVID-19, while admitting the possibility of increasing spending on medicine in the state budget-2021.
“He behaves like a character from ’12 Chairs’. ‘Money in the morning – chairs in the evening, money in the evening – chairs in the morning, but money in advance.’ That’s how Stepanov behaves. His task is to get as much of a budget as possible, taking advantage of the fact that we have a COVID, we have problems, we have people dying, and then, using this rhetoric, to solve those problems that are necessary to solve. I think this is absolutely wrong,” Marchenko said in an interview with lb.ua.
“We must first propose a plan, show a solution to the problem, and there was enough time for that, and then ask the finance minister or the government questions to search for funds. And now we have the approach – first money, and then I will fight COVID-19. It is impossible to put the question like that,” the minister said.
At the same time, the head of the Ministry of Finance pointed to the unspent funds of the Fund to Combat COVID-19 at the end of 2020.
“At the Cabinet of Ministers we often sort things out, and this is normal, because I have something to ask him, in particular, about the leftovers of last year. He collected money, and in the end we got leftovers that were not used,” Marchenko said.
Speaking about the possibility of correction of the state budget for 2021, he also said there is a possibility of increasing spending on medicine.
“There is a possibility of such a scenario, since there is a need to close several issues on medicine. We will discuss with the IMF and with other partners the possibility of minor adjustments to the budget,” Marchenko said.
Over the past day, June 8, some 53,161 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 in Ukraine, the total number of immunized people was 1,328,070, the press service of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine reports.
“Some 53,161 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 per day on June 8, 2021. A total of 43,925 people received one dose, 9,236 people were fully immunized,” the official Telegram channel of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine said on Wednesday morning.
The department said that 485 mobile teams and 624 vaccination points worked during the day.
“As of June 9, 2021, some 659,473 people signed up for the COVID-19 vaccination waiting list,” it reported.
Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign 1,328,070 people have been vaccinated, of which 1,328,068 people received one dose, some 161,378 people were fully immunized and received two doses (two of them received one dose abroad). A total of 1,489,446 vaccinations were carried out.
