GROWTH IN PRICES OF INDUSTRIAL PRODUCERS IN UKRAINE ACCELERATES TO 5.4%

Prices in the Ukrainian industry in August 2021 increased by 5.4%, while in July – by 2.6%, in June – by 2.4%, in May – by 3.6%, in April – by 1.2%, in March – 1.6%, in February – 7.8%, and in January – 5.2%, the State Statistics Service reported on Friday.
According to it, in annual terms (in relation to the same month last year) in August 2021 prices in industry increased by 46.5%, in July – by 42.2%, in June – by 39.1%, in May – by 33.1%, in April – by 27.8%, in March – by 26.3%, in February – by 26.6%, and in January 2021 – by 17.6%.
Over eight months of 2021, the growth in prices of industrial producers amounted to 32.4% compared to the same period in 2020.
The State Statistics Service clarifies that within Ukraine, prices of industrial producers in August versus July 2021 increased by 8.2%, while for deliveries outside the country they decreased by 4.0%.
According to the statistics service, in the mining industry and quarrying in August this year, compared with the previous month, production fell by 2.2%. The growth in prices in the extraction of coal was 2.3%, in the extraction of crude oil and natural gas – 2.2%, while prices in the extraction of metal ores decreased by 7.4%.
Prices increased for the supply of electricity and gas – by 26.3%, in energy generation – by 19.3%, in production of chemical products – by 2.0%, in production of rubber and plastic products – by 1.6%, in production of investment goods – by 1.4%, in production of coke and petroleum products – by 1.2%, in production of electrical equipment – by 1.2%, durable goods – by 1.1%, in mechanical engineering – by 0.9%, and in production of wood products – by 0.6%. Prices for pharmaceutical products increased by 0.4%.
At the same time, prices fell in sugar production – by 3.3%, in metallurgy – by 3.2%, in production of intermediate consumption goods – by 2.1% and in production of non-durable goods – by 0.3%.

GROWTH IN PRICES OF INDUSTRIAL PRODUCERS IN UKRAINE SLOWS DOWN TO 1.6% IN MARCH

Prices in the Ukrainian industry in March 2021 increased by 1.6%, while in February – by 7.8%, in January – by 5.2%, the State Statistics Service reported on Monday.
At the end of March 2021, prices in industry increased 26.3% year-over-year, at the end of February – 26.6%, at the end of January 2021 – 17.6%.
In the first quarter of 2021 (compared to the same period in 2020), the growth in prices of industrial producers amounted to 23.5%.
The State Statistics Service said that within Ukraine, prices of industrial producers in March compared with February 2021 increased 0.6%, for deliveries outside the country – 4.7%.
In the mining industry and quarrying in March of this year, compared with the previous month, the price of production grew by 2.3%, the rise in prices in the extraction of metal ores was 5.8%, coal – 1.8%, while in extraction of crude oil and natural gas the products fell by 2% in price.
Prices increased in the production of coke and refined petroleum products by 14.2%, chemicals and chemical products – by 9.9%, in metallurgy – by 4.6%, in the production of intermediate consumption goods – by 4.2%, non-durable goods – by 3.7%, in the processing industry – by 3.8%.
A decrease in prices was recorded in the supply of electricity, gas, steam – by 5.5%, energy production – by 2.9%.

Prices in the Ukrainian industry in March 2021 increased by 1.6%, while in February – by 7.8%, in January – by 5.2%, the State Statistics Service reported on Monday.
At the end of March 2021, prices in industry increased 26.3% year-over-year, at the end of February – 26.6%, at the end of January 2021 – 17.6%.
In the first quarter of 2021 (compared to the same period in 2020), the growth in prices of industrial producers amounted to 23.5%.
The State Statistics Service said that within Ukraine, prices of industrial producers in March compared with February 2021 increased 0.6%, for deliveries outside the country – 4.7%.

PRICES OF INDUSTRIAL PRODUCERS IN UKRAINE GROW BY 17.6% IN JANUARY

Prices in Ukrainian industry in January 2021 compared to January 2020 grew by 17.6%, the State Statistics Service said on Wednesday.

As previously reported by the authority, in 2020 the growth of industrial producer prices was 14.5%, in 2019 it was 7.4%, in 2018 – 14.2%, in 2017 – 16.5%, in 2016 – 35.7%, and in 2015 – 25.4%.

Within Ukraine, industrial producer prices in January 2021 to January 2020 increased by 11.2%, as for deliveries outside the country – by 46.2%.

Prices in Ukrainian industry in January compared to the previous month (December 2020) grew by 5.2%, while in December last year – by 1.8%, in November by 2%, in October – by 3.8%, and September – by 1.7%.

Prices in the mining industry in January 2021 to January 2020 rose by 38.4%, due to growth in prices in the extraction of metal ores – by 64.9%, oil and gas – by 24.6% and in the production of coal – by 1.2%.

In the manufacturing industry, prices rose by 19.8%. In the production of sugar, they grew by 63.6%, bread and bakery products – by 10.2%, dairy products – by 7.9%, meat products – by 4.1% and beverages – by 4.2%.

Moreover, in metallurgy in January 2021 to January 2020 prices rose by 34.6%, the production of intermediate goods – by 30.2%, in chemical production – by 29.4%, the production of short-term goods – by 22, 4%, production of durable goods – by 12.6%, woodworking – by 11.3%, in pharmaceutical production – by 11.4% and mechanical engineering – by 3.2%.

In the supply of electricity, gas and air conditioning prices rose by 2.3%, in the production of coke and refined products they grew by 3.8%.
