“TAS” increased insurance premiums by 47% in January 2025

In January 2025, TAS Insurance Group (Kyiv) collected UAH 525.3 million in insurance premiums, which is 47% more than in the same period in 2024.

According to the insurer’s website, motor hull insurance premiums in January 2025 amounted to 9.54% of the total, or UAH 50.12 million, which is 7.7% lower than in January 2024; motor third party liability insurance premiums – 38.45%, or UAH 201.98 million, which is 2.1 times more, and Green Card premiums – 25.84%, or UAH 135.72 million (+46.9%).

Under voluntary health insurance contracts, TAS Group collected UAH 73.54 million in premiums, which is 5.3% lower than in the same period last year and accounts for 14.5% of total premiums.

Property insurance contracts attracted UAH 8.11 million of insurance premiums, which is 22.8% less than last year.

Under other insurance contracts, the company collected UAH 55.78 million, which is 2.1 times more than in January-2024.

As reported, in January 2025, TAS Insurance Group paid UAH 202.6 million under the concluded insurance contracts, which is 26.5% higher than the amount of indemnities paid by the company for the same month in 2024.

Out of the total volume, 27.63% of payments were made on motor hull insurance (UAH 56 million), which is 37% more than in January of the previous year, 31% or UAH 62.7 million (+7.8%) on MTPL, and 24.9% on Green Card.

The share of VHI in the company’s claims portfolio in December amounted to 15.9%, or UAH 32.13 million (+28.3%).

The company paid out UAH 14.82 million under other insurance contracts.

“Express Insurance” in January collected insurance premiums in amount of more than UAH 100 million

IC “Express Insurance” (Kiev) in January 2025 collected insurance premiums in the amount of UAH 102.6 million, which is 71.9% more than in January 2024. According to the insurer’s website, in January payments amounting to more than UAH 34,4 mln were made, which is by 17% more than in the same period of 2024.

Including payments on hull insurance amounted to UAH 27 million (+5.3%), on MTPL – UAH 6.8 million (more in 2.4 times), payments on other insurance contracts – UAH 660 thousand.

“The growth of payouts on MTPL is a direct result of clients’ confidence in the company and increase in the number of concluded contracts”, – is noted in the message.

ALC “Express Insurance” was founded in 2008 and is part of the group of companies “UkrAVTO”. The company specializes in automobile insurance. Stably high speed of events settlement in IC is provided by optimal interaction with partner service stations.

Since April, 2012 IC “Express Insurance” is an associated member of the Motor Transport Insurance Bureau of Ukraine.

IC “Euroins Ukraine” for three quarters of 2024 collected UAH 474 mln of insurance premiums

Insurance company “Euroins Ukraine” (Kiev) for three quarters of 2024 collected UAH 474,1 mln of insurance premiums, which is 16,2% higher than in January-September 2023, according to the insurer’s information. According to the message, the largest share in premiums traditionally occupied by MTPL – 65% (UAH 306,6 mln), health insurance (VMI) – 18% (UAH 85,4 mln), CASCO – 10% (UAH 45,5 mln).

The volume of indemnities paid to the clients of “Euroins Ukraine” for nine months of 2024 increased by 27.7%, up to UAH 240.4 mln. On average the company paid about UAH 1,1 mln per day.

INGO Insurance Company increased insurance premiums by 23.5%, payments by 32%

INGO Insurance Company (Kyiv) collected insurance premiums in the amount of UAH 2.46 billion for 9 months of 2024, which is 23.5% more than in the same period last year, the company said in a statement.
It is noted that, according to experts of the National Association of Insurers of Ukraine (NASU), this corresponds to the average growth rate of the Ukrainian insurance market for the reporting period, which is 23%.
The company also reports that during the reporting period, there was an increase in demand for insurance products in the hull insurance segment (+25.3%), MTPL (+35.5%), property insurance (+47%), health insurance for those traveling abroad (+51.3%), and accident insurance (+25.7%). At the same time, both the number of clients and the volume of premiums increased in property and motor insurance.
It is also noted that revenues from individuals increased by 35% to UAH 735 million. At the same time, premiums in the corporate insurance segment increased by 19% to UAH 1.73 billion. According to the National Insurance Agency of Ukraine, INGO is the leader in this segment.
During the reporting period, INGO paid more than UAH 1.08 billion in indemnities, which is 32% more than last year. The largest amounts were paid under voluntary health insurance contracts – over UAH 419 million, hull insurance – UAH 328 million, property insurance – UAH 273 million. Over UAH 184 million was reimbursed for losses incurred by agricultural producers.
As of November 1, 2024, the company’s reserves increased by 11%, reaching almost UAH 2 billion, and equity increased by 16% to UAH 1.34 billion. At the same time, highly liquid assets amounted to UAH 3.02 billion, which is 3% more than last year.
During the reporting period, INGO increased the amount of taxes paid to the budgets of all levels by 23% to UAH 185 million.
By the end of 2024, INGO expects a further increase in insurance premiums due to market concentration and the introduction of new technologies. Particular attention will be paid to the digitalization of processes to improve customer service, the statement said.

Insurer “Express Insurance” in January-May collected insurance premiums in the amount of UAH 350 mln

IC “Express Insurance” (Kiev) in January-May this year collected insurance premiums in the amount of UAH 350 mln, which is 35,6% more than in the same period of 2023.

As it is specified on the website of the insurer, during this period 2,5 times more contracts were concluded than in five months of 2023.

Premiums on CASCO amounted to UAH 277,6 mln (+20,9% to 5 months of 2023), on MTPL – UAH 61,1 mln (2,9 times more), VHI – UAH 4,9 mln (+13,4%), on other types of insurance – UAH 6,4 mln (+2,1 times).

In May 2024, the company attracted UAH 82.3mn of premiums, which is 28% more than in May last year. Among them, CASCO premiums amounted to UAH 64.8mn (+13.8%), MTPL premiums – UAH 15.8mn (+149.5%).

As reported, during this period the company paid UAH 200 mln, which is by 64.3% or by UAH 78.1 mln more than the same indicator of 2023.

Including payments on CASCO amounted to UAH 170.3 million, or 61.7% of all payments, and payments on MTPL – UAH 24.7 million (+116.7%), on voluntary health insurance – UAH 2.4 million (-14.4%), payments on other insurance contracts – UAH 2.1 million (+12.08%).

Express Insurance” ALC was founded in 2008 and is a part of “UkrAvto” group of companies. The company specializes in car insurance. Since April 2012 it is an associate member of the Motor Transport Insurance Bureau of Ukraine.

Insurer “Quorum” reduced payments in 2023 by almost a third

Insurance company Quorum (Kyiv) in 2023 collected insurance premiums in the amount of UAH 49.5 mln, which is 35.2% more than in the same period a year earlier, said the rating agency (RA) Standard-Rating in the information on updating the credit rating / financial strength rating of the company on the national scale at the level of “uaAA”.

It is specified that the rating was updated on the basis of the analysis of the company’s results for the mentioned reporting period.

Receipts from individuals in IC for this period have grown by 36,36%, up to UAH 30,394 mln, and from reinsurers were absent. The share of individuals in gross premiums at the end of 2023 amounted to 61,42%.

Insurance payments sent to reinsurers amounted to UAH 16,067 million, which is 66,70% higher than in the same period of 2022. Thus, the ratio of reinsurers’ participation in insurance premiums has increased by 6,14 p.p., up to 32,47%.

Net premiums of the insurer have increased by 23,92%, to UAH 33,421 mln, and earned premiums – by 20,90%, to UAH 33,296 mln.

The volume of insurance payments and indemnities made by IC “Quorum”, in 2023 compared to the year before has decreased by 31,91%, to UAH 6,468 mln, and the level of indemnities has decreased by 12,88 p.p., to 13,07%.

The company’s activity in the analyzed period was profitable. Thus, the profit from operating activities increased 8.4 times, to UAH 11.348 mln compared to 2022, and net profit – almost 12 times, to UAH 10.153 mln.

Assets of the company as of January 1, 2024 have grown by 28,92% to UAH 63,969 mln, shareholders’ equity has increased by 30,37% to UAH 56,032 mln, liabilities have shown growth by 19,50% to UAH 7,937 mln, cash and cash equivalents have grown by 47,99% to UAH 44,408 mln.

IC Quorum was established in March 2014, specializing in risk insurance.
