INGO Insurance Company (Kyiv) collected insurance premiums in the amount of UAH 2.46 billion for 9 months of 2024, which is 23.5% more than in the same period last year, the company said in a statement.
It is noted that, according to experts of the National Association of Insurers of Ukraine (NASU), this corresponds to the average growth rate of the Ukrainian insurance market for the reporting period, which is 23%.
The company also reports that during the reporting period, there was an increase in demand for insurance products in the hull insurance segment (+25.3%), MTPL (+35.5%), property insurance (+47%), health insurance for those traveling abroad (+51.3%), and accident insurance (+25.7%). At the same time, both the number of clients and the volume of premiums increased in property and motor insurance.
It is also noted that revenues from individuals increased by 35% to UAH 735 million. At the same time, premiums in the corporate insurance segment increased by 19% to UAH 1.73 billion. According to the National Insurance Agency of Ukraine, INGO is the leader in this segment.
During the reporting period, INGO paid more than UAH 1.08 billion in indemnities, which is 32% more than last year. The largest amounts were paid under voluntary health insurance contracts – over UAH 419 million, hull insurance – UAH 328 million, property insurance – UAH 273 million. Over UAH 184 million was reimbursed for losses incurred by agricultural producers.
As of November 1, 2024, the company’s reserves increased by 11%, reaching almost UAH 2 billion, and equity increased by 16% to UAH 1.34 billion. At the same time, highly liquid assets amounted to UAH 3.02 billion, which is 3% more than last year.
During the reporting period, INGO increased the amount of taxes paid to the budgets of all levels by 23% to UAH 185 million.
By the end of 2024, INGO expects a further increase in insurance premiums due to market concentration and the introduction of new technologies. Particular attention will be paid to the digitalization of processes to improve customer service, the statement said.
INGO Insurance Company JSC holds licenses for 18 classes of insurance and has been providing insurance services to both individuals and companies for 30 years. Its network includes 25 branches, 5 offices and 9 customer service centers operating in all regions of the country. The company is one of the largest insurance companies in Ukraine in terms of premiums, own assets and insurance claims.

IC “Express Insurance” (Kiev) in January-May this year collected insurance premiums in the amount of UAH 350 mln, which is 35,6% more than in the same period of 2023.
As it is specified on the website of the insurer, during this period 2,5 times more contracts were concluded than in five months of 2023.
Premiums on CASCO amounted to UAH 277,6 mln (+20,9% to 5 months of 2023), on MTPL – UAH 61,1 mln (2,9 times more), VHI – UAH 4,9 mln (+13,4%), on other types of insurance – UAH 6,4 mln (+2,1 times).
In May 2024, the company attracted UAH 82.3mn of premiums, which is 28% more than in May last year. Among them, CASCO premiums amounted to UAH 64.8mn (+13.8%), MTPL premiums – UAH 15.8mn (+149.5%).
As reported, during this period the company paid UAH 200 mln, which is by 64.3% or by UAH 78.1 mln more than the same indicator of 2023.
Including payments on CASCO amounted to UAH 170.3 million, or 61.7% of all payments, and payments on MTPL – UAH 24.7 million (+116.7%), on voluntary health insurance – UAH 2.4 million (-14.4%), payments on other insurance contracts – UAH 2.1 million (+12.08%).
Express Insurance” ALC was founded in 2008 and is a part of “UkrAvto” group of companies. The company specializes in car insurance. Since April 2012 it is an associate member of the Motor Transport Insurance Bureau of Ukraine.
In February 2024, TAS Insurance Group has attracted UAH 312.2 mln of insurance premiums, which is 47% higher than the amount of payments collected for the same period a year earlier.
According to the company’s website, premiums on CASCO amounted to 21.61% of the total volume, or UAH 67.47 mln, which is 26.8% higher than the corresponding figure for February 2023, on MTPL – 31.9%, or UAH 99.57 mln (+37.1%), on “Green Card” – 26.95%, or UAH 84.04 mln (+76.4%), on voluntary medical insurance – 10.2%, or UAH 31.7 mln (+97.6%).
At the same time, UAH 6,24 mln of payments have been collected under property insurance contracts, under other insurance contracts SG “TAS” has attracted UAH 23,14 mln during the reporting period.
IG “TAS” was registered in 1998. It is a universal company, offers more than 80 types of insurance products on various types of voluntary and compulsory insurance. It has an extensive regional network of 28 regional directorates and branches.
TAS IG (Kyiv) in January-February 2023 collected UAH 486,39 mln of insurance premiums, which is 6,6% more than in the corresponding period of 2022, according to the web-site of the company.
It is specified that UAH 99,88 mln of payments have been collected on CASCO contracts, or 20,54% of the total amount of premiums and this is by 33,9% more than during the same period of 2022.
Sales of MTPL insurance increased by 17.3% up to UAH 145.54 million or 29.92% of the total receipts of the insurer for two months. Sales of “Green Card” increased by 68.3% to UAH 101.83 million (20.93%).
VMI accounted for 18.3% of Company’s receipts in January-February: UAH 89,01 mln. was collected on voluntary health insurance contracts.
The company attracted UAH 11,8 mln of payments on property insurance contracts for two months. The receipts of the insurer under other insurance contracts amounted to UAH 38,33 mln.
European Travel Insurance (Kyiv) in 2020 collected insurance premiums in the amount of UAH 182.440 million, which is 43% less than in 2019.
According to a press release from the insurer, if in 2019 the company insured 1.805 million tourists for the first time, then in 2020 some 825,328 people used its services. The net profit of the insurer after taxation according to the IFRS system in 2020 amounted to UAH 24.497 million.
According to the press release, 2020 has changed the attitude towards travel insurance and its individual types. Thus, there was an increased demand from both tour operators and individual tourists for insurance of financial risks in case of travel cancellation or interruption. If in 2019 such risks were insured by 22% of tourists, then in 2020 some 38% of the total number of insured.
In 2020, the company registered 8,924 insurance events with tourists, the total amount of insurance payments was UAH 68 million. In 2020, the ratio of events with tourists registered by the company also changed towards an increase in the share of requests due to the occurrence of an insured event due to cancellation/interruption of travel.
The total amount of payments in connection with cancellation/interruption of travel in 2020 stood at UAH 19.543 million, in 2019 – some UAH 15.673 million. In total, over the past year, 840 payments were made in connection with the cancellation or interruption of a trip, 498 such payments were in 2019.
The company also notes that the tourism industry is reporting a more than 70% reduction in tourism in 2020. Almost the same drop in international passenger air transportation (approximately 72% of the volume of 2019) is noted by the Ukrainian aviation business.
