Italian government increases funding for Ukrainian students

This year, the Italian government has increased funding available for young Ukrainians who intend to study in Italy and meet the requirements, said Pier Francesco Zazzo, Ambassador of the Italian Republic to Ukraine.

As the ambassador noted in a commentary to Interfax-Ukraine, Italy, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, provides scholarships to Ukrainian students to support and promote cooperation in the cultural, scientific and technological spheres and the spread of the Italian language and culture.

“We are proud to announce that this year the funding available for young Ukrainians who intend to study in Italy and meet the requirements has been increased. With this initiative, we intend to reaffirm our closeness and continued support for the most deserving Ukrainian students in this difficult time,” Zazzo emphasized.

According to the Italian Institute of Culture in Ukraine, applications are accepted until June 14.

The general conditions for participation in the competition for 2024/2025 can be viewed on the portal https://studyinitaly.esteri.it, where candidates can register and fill out the appropriate form until June 14, 2024 (14:00 Italian time) to participate in the selection.

ITALIAN FOREIGN MINISTER LUIGI DI MAIO ANNOUNCED HIS COUNTRY’S READINESS TO BECOME ONE OF THE GUARANTORS OF UKRAINE’S NEUTRAL STATUS

“The main priority for us is the continuation of the negotiation process. The actions taken by Turkey are highly appreciated. The results of the negotiations will be analyzed. Italy is ready to act as a guarantor of Ukraine’s neutral status,” the Italian minister told reporters in Baku on Saturday.
Di Maio also noted that as a result of the sanctions against Russia, the question arose of accelerating the expansion of the energy sector. “In this context, Italy pays special attention to the development of cooperation with reliable partners with great potential, including Azerbaijan,” the Foreign Minister said.

UKRAINIAN MANUFACTURER OF PET FOOD ENTERS ITALIAN AND SPANISH MARKETS

Kormotech LLC (Lviv region), a large Ukrainian manufacturer of cat and dog food, has launched first shipments of its products to Spain and Italy. The company said in its press release on Friday that by the end of the year it plans to export 1.5 tonnes of premium and super premium pet food to each of these countries.
“The first shipment to Italy was made on Wednesday, June 3. Dry and wet super premium food for cats and dogs under the brand Optimeal will be sold in the online shop Healthy Pet Italy. The company will sell its products in Spain under two Ukrainians brands: Optimeal and Club 4 Paws,” Kormotech said.
Kormotech LLC is the leading Ukrainian producer of feed for cats and dogs. The company exports products to 31 countries, including the United States, Great Britain, Germany, France, Finland, Sweden, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Poland, Turkey, Iran and Chile.
The ultimate beneficiaries of Kormotech are Olena and Rostyslav Vovk.

WINDROSE AIRLINES TO LAUNCH FLIGHTS FROM KYIV TO ITALIAN CITIES

Windrose Airlines for the summer navigation of 2020 will launch flights from Kyiv to Brindisi, Lamezia Terme and Ancona (all based in Italy).
According to the company’s press service, in particular, flights to Brindisi will be operated from May 30 to October 3, 2020 on Saturdays, flights to Lamezia Terme from May 29 to October 3, 2020 on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and flights to Ancona from June 6 to September 19, 2020 on Saturdays.
The cost of tickets is from UAH 2,800.
As reported, the commission of the State Aviation Service of Ukraine decided to revoke the right of Windrose to fly from Kyiv to Istanbul on a regular basis three times a week.
Earlier, the State Aviation Service approved the application of the airline for charter flights from Kyiv to Odesa, Lviv, Kherson, Kharkiv and the Dnipro three times a week. The rights are valid until March 28, 2020.
