PRESIDENT OF INDONESIA WENT TO KYIV

President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo announced that he had gone to Kyiv.
“From platform 4 of the Przemysl Glavny station in Przemysl, Poland, at 9 pm, I and a limited group of people went by train to Kyiv, Ukraine. We started this peaceful mission with good intentions. I hope it gets easier,” he wrote on Twitter .

OFFICE OF WORLD FOOD PROGRAM WILL RESUME ITS WORK IN KYIV

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a draft agreement with the World Food Program (WFP) on the renewal of the agreement on opening a WFP Office in Ukraine.
As the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk said in the Telegram channel, the corresponding decision was made at a government meeting on Tuesday.
In particular, the project provides for: resumption of WFP representation in Ukraine; prompt response in case of emergencies, including in the field of distribution of financial assistance and assistance in kind for the affected regions; promotion of cooperation in the context of the participation of Ukrainian companies in the purchase of agricultural and food products for the needs of international humanitarian projects of the UN World Food Program.

FIVE-STAR HILTON HOTEL RESUMES WORK IN KYIV IN A WEEK

The five-star Hilton Kyiv hotel will reopen on July 1, 2022, the company’s press service reported on Facebook on Thursday.
At the same time, the company emphasizes that the safety of guests and team members remains a key priority in difficult times. In particular, in order to ensure it in accordance with the recommendations of government agencies, the company added a number of security measures; an underground parking of the building is provided for a temporary shelter.
Hilton is one of the world’s leading hotel companies with 18 brands and more than 1 million rooms in 122 countries. In Ukraine, the first hotel of the Hilton Hotels & Resorts chain opened on March 26, 2014 in the capital – the five-star Hilton Kyiv. At the end of 2021, it was reported that the Hilton hotel company entered into a franchise agreement with the developer Gefest Group (Odessa) to implement a hotel project in Odessa, which is scheduled to open in the spring of 2025.

IN KYIV, CAR TRAFFIC WILL BE OPENED ON THE METRO AND PATON BRIDGES

Since Monday morning, June 20, vehicular traffic has resumed on the Metro and Paton bridges in Kyiv, Mayor of the capital Vitaliy Klitschko said.
“Darnitsky, Severny, Yuzhny, Metro and Patona will operate for auto communication between the left and right banks of the capital. The city authorities will additionally inform about the organization of public transport, taking into account the resumption of traffic on bridges,” he wrote in the Telegram channel.
Klitschko also called on drivers to comply with traffic rules, speed limits, and give preference to ambulances, police cars, rescuers and humanitarian aid vehicles.

VITALI AND WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO MET WITH GERMAN CHANCELLOR IN KYIV

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that he had met with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to discuss support for Ukraine and assistance.
“Friends! I met with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. We talked about the support of Ukraine by European partners and the necessary assistance. Weapons, economic, financial assistance and more powerful and more effective sanctions against the Russian aggressor. And also – support by the European community for Ukraine’s candidacy for EU membership,” – wrote Klitschko on Facebook.
He emphasized the importance of the fact that world leaders visit Ukraine and see for themselves the consequences of the barbaric actions of the Russian Federation.
“International partners must understand that appeasing the aggressor will only whet his appetites. And the war will spread to the EU countries. Therefore, Ukraine, which has taken the blow of imperial evil and is heroically defending itself, needs help today and now!” the mayor added.
According to the published video, boxer Wladimir Klitschko was also present at the meeting.

VITALI KLITSCHKO: KYIV MADE ANOTHER PAYMENT ON EXTERNAL DEBT IN AMOUNT OF $28.8 MLN

Kyiv has redeemed the payment on the participation bonds in the PBR Kyiv Finance Plc loan in the amount of $28.8 million on June 13 in accordance with the schedule, Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said.
In addition, the city will also pay a semi-annual $2.2 million coupon.
“Despite the war in Ukraine and the difficult economic situation, Kyiv fulfills its obligations, remaining a stable and predictable partner for foreign investors,” the mayor stressed.
As reported, the international rating agency S&P Global Ratings downgraded the long-term credit rating of Kyiv in foreign and national currency from “B-” to “CCC +” with a negative outlook.
