Oleksandr Gavrysh has been appointed director of Lavina Mall, replacing Dmytro Lashin in this position, according to OpenDataBot.
As previously reported by Dmytro Lashyn, CEO of Lavina Mall and Blockbuster Mall, his contract with Mandarin Plaza Group ended after eight years; the decision not to renew it was mutual. Inna Dzyadzin, who was responsible for leasing at Lavina Mall, Mandarin Plaza, Blockbuster Mall, and Ocean Mall, also announced the end of her contract after nine years with Mandarin Plaza Group.
“We will introduce the new management team shortly. We will share our plans for the group’s further development later,” Alexander Chernitsky, director of the Mandarin Plaza Group, told the Interfax-Ukraine news agency. He added that the group’s asset in the Petrivka district of Kyiv (Book Market LLC) is currently the most pressing issue: “Almost everything there has been destroyed. We have not yet fully assessed the full extent of the damage.”
Mandarin Plaza Group is a developer and management company engaged in the operational management of commercial real estate in Ukraine. It manages the following completed projects: Mandarin Plaza, Lavina Mall, and Blockbuster Mall; Ocean Mall is in its final stages of construction (with a total area exceeding 940,000 square meters); and seven projects are currently under development.
PrJSC Stadsis AB (Sweden), which is a shareholder of PrJSC Mandarin Plaza, a developer of Lavina Mall, Blockbuster Mall and Ocean Mall (all are located in Kyiv), has decided to segregate a new company from the enterprise, PrJSC Parus Invest.
According to the statement of Mandarin Plaza in the information disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, by the decision of the shareholder dated March 19, Parus Invest was segregated from PrJSC Mandarin Plaza with the transfer of part of the property, rights and obligations to it.
The shares of Mandarin Plaza are converted into the shares of Parus Invest with a ratio of 1:1.
The planned charter capital of new company is UAH 5.9 million.
PrJSC Mandarin Plaza was established in 2000. It is engaged in development activities in the segment of construction and operation of retail and office centers.
The charter capital of PrJSC Mandarin Plaza in April 2020 stood at UAH 21.7 million.
The founder of Mandarin Plaza company, investor and developer in Lavina, Blockbuster, Ocean Mall and other shopping centers, Vagif Aliyev, has said that he plans to acquire Ocean Plaza mall by autumn 2019.
“We are still negotiating. I think we will buy first phase of Ocean Plaza by the autumn… and connect with Ocean Mall shopping center. Therefore, please, those [shops] which are located in Ocean Plaza, please consider Blockbuster and Lavina, because I think I will buy it by the autumn. I will not leave any brand there [in Ocean Plaza shopping center], no matter what it is. I think all contracts will be terminated because we are moving systematically, and with this system we will go across Ukraine,” the businessman said during a closed-up tour for retailers at the Blockbuster Mall shopping center.
According to him, the opening of the first phase of the Blockbuster shopping center is scheduled for May 31, the launch of the second phase is planned for the autumn.
As reported, in February 2019, Board Chairman of Mandarin Plaza, developing the chain of shopping and entertainment centers Lavina, Blockbuster, Ocean Mall and others, Oleksandr Chernitsky told Interfax-Ukraine that the company is holding talks with TPS Real Estate on the acquisition of the Ocean Plaza mall.
