Nova Posta has increased net profit almost fivefold

The net profit of Nova Posta LLC for the first half of 2023 amounted to UAH 2 bln 402.5 mln, which is almost five times higher than in the first half of 2022 (UAH 483.9 mln), according to the updated rating of the company at the level of “uaAA” from the rating agency Standard-Rating.

According to its report, Novaya Posta’s revenue for January-June increased by 83.9% to UAH 16 billion 743.8 million.

It also points out that the company’s EBITDA profit in the first half of 2023 also grew strongly – more than 2.2 times, to UAH 2 billion 910.1 million.

“The analysis of the statements for the first half of 2023 indicates: a high level of coverage of liabilities by equity capital, a very high share in the structure of equity capital of retained earnings, an increase in business volumes, weighty financial results, as well as a high level of coverage of the company’s liabilities by its income,” the rating agency noted.

It specified that at the end of the first half of 2023, such improvement of indicators allowed to increase the ratio of EBITDA to long-term and current liabilities from 14.33% to 28.04%, and the same indicator for EBIT profit – from 5.21% to 17.72%.

According to the publication, Nova Posta’s equity capital for the first half of 2023 increased by 36.9% to UAH 8 billion 918.6 million, while liabilities – only by 12.4% to UAH 10 billion 379.4 million.

It is indicated that the growth of equity capital, as in previous periods, occurred due to the increase in the volume of retained earnings in its structure: for the first two quarters of 2023, it grew by 37.1% and as of July 1, 2023, its share in the equity capital of the company increased to 99.6%.

According to the information, Novaya Posta’s accounts receivable increased by 46.5% to UAH 3 billion 303.6 million in the first half of 2023, while accounts payable increased by 18.1% to UAH 8 billion 592.0 million, and free cash flow increased by 12.6% to UAH 758.2 million.

Overall, the company’s assets in the first half of this year increased by 22.5% to UAH 19 billion 298.0 million, while fixed assets increased by 10.5% to UAH 7 billion 561.7 million.

Founded in 2001, Novaya Posta has more than 10,000 outlets and 14,000 post offices in Ukraine. It provides a full range of logistics and related services.

Two issues of the company’s bonds series “C” and “D” are currently circulating on the market with a nominal volume of UAH 800 mln each and an interest rate of 24% and 23% per annum, respectively, maturing in January 2024 and 2025.

“Nova Posta” has launched option to call courier to address in Lithuania

Nova Posta Group of Companies has launched an opportunity to call a courier to the address in Lithuania to send documents and parcels up to 30 kilograms to Ukraine, the group’s press service said on Thursday.

According to the release, the courier can be called to any address throughout Lithuania: even in places where there are no Nova Post offices yet.

It is indicated that the call costs EUR3.5 to the cost of delivery to Ukraine, but until August 13, a 30% discount is given for delivery from Lithuania to Ukraine.

To call a courier in Lithuania, you need to prepare a parcel for shipment, fill out an application for courier call on the website, application or business cabinet, pay for the order and give it to the courier in closed form.

“Nova Posta” reminds that sending a parcel from Lithuania is subject to customs duty and 21% VAT if the value of the parcel exceeds EUR45. Therefore, in the application form you should fill in the contents of the shipment, the declared or market value of each item. If the real value will differ from the declared value, the customs service may revalue and charge additional customs payments to the recipient.

As reported, Nova Post opened the first NovaPost branch in Lithuania on March 20 this year. Outside Ukraine, the group also already operates in Poland, Czech Republic, Moldova, Romania and Germany.

At the beginning of July, the NovaPost network included more than 10 thousand outlets and over 14 thousand post offices.

Nova Posta opens NovaTech innovation platform for partners

Nova Posta Group has created the NovaTech online platform to engage partners in developing innovative products and services together with its R&D division, the company’s press office said Tuesday.

“Using external ideas, sharing innovations through partnerships and combining new solutions will allow more to be gained by all participants,” the release quoted the head of Nova Posta’s R&D center as saying Eugene Khomenko.

It is noted that the development team is looking for partners in the following areas: robotization, sorting and customer service, artificial intelligence in service, computer vision, new generation packaging, as well as NovaTech is looking for developers of new services in branches and alternative transport for parcel delivery.

In addition, Nova Posta has organized an offline NovaTech studio, which is an open space with a co-working space, a laboratory, and a showroom. The total area of the studio is almost 900 square meters and is located on the first floor of the Atmosphere shopping center.

NovaTech has already started cooperation with partners such as Deus Robotics, a robot development and manufacturing company, Konsort, a manufacturer of production automation equipment, UIS, a developer of software for logistics automation, Disk Systems, a manufacturer of electronic automation solutions, and others.

“Nova Posta” increased parcel delivery by 9%

Nova Posta Group delivered more than 170 million parcels and cargoes in January-June 2023, which is 9% more than in the same period of pre-war 2021.

According to the company’s press service, the growth in volumes is due to the fact that Nova Posta continued to invest in infrastructure development across Ukraine increasing the number of outlets of various types by 935.

“The total number of outlets exceeds 10 thousand, and the number of postmarkets – 14 thousand. Now the network of postmarkets “Nova Posta” – the second largest in Europe”, – stated in the message of the company.

It is noted that the company continues to develop the network in the frontline and liberated territories. Now 388 offices work in the de-occupied territory of Donetsk, Kharkiv and Kherson regions.

In addition, Nova Posta delivered 4.2 million international parcels in the first half of the year, which is 34% more than in the same period of 2021.

International delivery is performed by its own company Supernova Airlines. Since the start of flights in May this year in partnership with Latvia’s RAF-Avia, the airline has operated 14 flights and delivered 250,000 international parcels.

In addition, during March-June 2023, the company entered the market in four countries and opened 21 branches in Lithuania, Czech Republic, Romania, Germany and Poland.

“In Poland, Nova Post operates 32 branches and two sorting terminals. The number of delivered shipments between Ukraine and Poland for six months – 450 thousand. 250 thousand individuals and 1.8 thousand business representatives have already used the services,” – said in “Nova Post”.

The company in the first half of the year paid 5.1 billion UAH of taxes and fees to the budgets of Ukraine at all levels, which is 75% more than in the same period last year.

“Nova Posta” issues UAH 800 mln in bonds

The National Securities and Stock Market Commission of Ukraine on May 30 registered the report on the results of issue of interest-bearing unsecured bonds of Nova Posta LLC of Series D with the total nominal value of UAH 800 mln without making a public offering.
According to Standard-Rating, which assigned uaAA credit rating to Nova Posta D-series bonds, they were issued with maturity from 27 to 31 January 2025 with quarterly interest payments and nominal rate of 23% per annum.
It is indicated that 29% of the funds raised will be used to support the issuer’s operating facilities, 25% to create safe spaces for the issuer’s employees and 46% to invest in BDF containers, container ships and plastic parcel containers.
As reported, in February this year, Nova Posta redeemed UAH 700 million worth of Series B bonds issued in March 2020.
The circulation term of the bond series “C” – until January 12, 2024, the nominal interest rate on it – 24% per annum.
According to “Standard-Rating”, the revenue of “New Post” in the first quarter of 2023 rose by 2.1 times or 113.2% to 8 billion 83.1 million UAH, EBITDA – almost 4.4 times to 1 billion 307.8 million UAH and net profit – almost 8 times to 1 billion 54.91 million UAH.

Nova Posta airline has made its first flight

Supernova Airlines, part of Nova Posta group of companies, has performed its first flight on the Riga-Zheshuv-Riga route, the postal operator’s press service said on Friday.
“The plane delivered 7 tons of international parcels of Nova Posta customers from Riga International Airport to Poland’s Rzeszów. After that, the parcels were reloaded into trucks and sent to Ukraine,” the release said.
According to it, the first flight was performed with an ATR 72 aircraft with a capacity of up to 7.5 tons, in cooperation with the Latvian airline RAF-Avia, whose cargo fleet also includes a SAAB 340 aircraft with a capacity of up to 3.7 tons.
Supernova Airlines plans to fly on this route twice a week – every Tuesday and Thursday.
As earlier reported, on January 6, Supernova Airlines received a Ukrainian operator certificate enabling to commence cargo flights. An-26-100 manufactured in 1978 was announced to be in the airlines’ fleet.
