REAL WAGES IN UKRAINE 8.1% UP

Real wages in Ukraine in November 2020 increased by 8.1% compared to November 2019 and decreased by 2.8% compared to October of this year, the State Statistics Service has said.
According to the State Statistics Service, the average nominal wage of full-time employees in November 2020 compared with the previous month decreased by 1.5%, and in annual terms (from November 2019) increased by 12.2%, amounting to UAH 11,987, which is 2.4 times higher than the minimum wage (UAH 5,000)
The department said that in October this year the average nominal wage was UAH 12,174, in September – UAH 11,998, in August – UAH 11,446, in July – UAH 10,804, in June – UAH 11,579, in May – UAH 10,542, in April – UAH 10,430, in March – UAH 11,446, February – UAH 10,847, and January – UAH 10,727.
According to the statistics department, the largest increase in the average wages of full-time employees in November 2020 compared to the same month a year earlier was observed in Luhansk (by 21.1%), Chernivtsi (by 20.7%), Ternopil (by 20%), Mykolaiv (by 19.7%), Khmelnytsky (by 18.6%), Rivne (by 18.5%), Ivano-Frankivsk (by 18.2%), Kherson (by 17.8%), Sumy (by 15.5%), and Kirovohrad (15.2%) regions.
The highest level of wages in the past month was observed in Kyiv (UAH 17,580), the lowest – in Chernihiv region (UAH 9,615).
In November 2020 against November 2019, wages in health care and social protection increased by 48.5%, in provision of other services by 43%, in the field of arts, sports and entertainment by 19%, information and telecommunications by 17.1%, in professional, scientific and technical activities by 16.5%, education by 16.2%, in the field of administrative, auxiliary services and education by 14.9%, in agriculture by 14.1%, in public administration and in the sphere of defense, compulsory social insurance by 11.2%, in construction by 9.5%, in industrial enterprises by 8%, in the field of real estate transactions by 5%, financial and insurance activities by 3.5%, in the sphere of wholesale and retail trade by 3.5%.

REAL WAGES IN UKRAINE INCREASES BY 9.2% IN OCT 2019

Real wages in Ukraine on October 2019 increased by 9.2% compared with October 2018, while compared with September 2019 they decreased by 0.3%, the State Statistics Service has said. According to the agency, the average nominal wage of full time employees in October 2019 compared with September 2019 increased by 0.4%, in annual terms (from October 2018) it also rose by 16.4%, amounting to UAH 10,727, which is 2.6 times more than the minimum wage (UAH 4,173).
The service says that in September it amounted to UAH 10,687, in August some UAH 10,573, in July some UAH 10,971, and in June to UAH 10,783.
According to the statistics agency, the largest increase in the average wage of full time employees in October 2019 compared with October 2018 was observed in Luhansk (by 22.5%), Kyiv (by 20.8%), Mykolaiv (by 20.6%), Donetsk (by 19.5%), Dnipropetrovsk (by 18.6%), Zaporizhia (by 17.9%), Cherkasy (by 17.7%), Ternopil (by 17.5%), Ivano-Frankivsk and Vinnytsia (by 16.6%), Chernihiv (by 16.2%), Sumy (by 15.9%), Chernivtsi and Khmelnytsky (by 15.2%), Rivne (by 15.1%), Odesa and Volyn (15%), Kharkiv (14.8%), Poltava (14.6%), Kherson (13.8%), Zhytomyr (13.2%), Lviv (by 13.1%), Kirovohrad (by 12.2%) regions and in Kyiv (by 14.5%).
The highest level of wages in October was recorded in Kyiv at UAH 15,862, the lowest in Chernivtsi region at UAH 8,211.
At the same time, average wages in Donetsk region amounted to UAH 11,952, Luhansk region some UAH 9,095 (except for the temporarily occupied territories).

REAL WAGES IN UKRAINE 9.5% UP IN JULY

Real wages in Ukraine in July 2019 increased by 9.5% year-over-year, while compared with June 2019 increased by 2.4%, the State Statistics Service has reported.
According to the service, the average nominal wage of full-time employees in July 2019 compared with the previous month increased by 1.7%, in annual terms – by 19.6%, reaching UAH 10,971.
The authority said that in June 2019 it amounted to UAH 10,783, in May – UAH 10,239, April – UAH 10,269, March – UAH 10,237.
According to the statistics department, the largest increase in the average wage of full-time employees in July 2019, compared with July 2018, was observed in Vinnytsia (24.8%), Mykolaiv (23.7%), Donetsk (23%), Kyiv (22.9%), Cherkasy (22.3%), Zaporizhia (22.1%), Dnipropetrovsk (21.8%), Rivne (21.6%), Ternopil (21.5%), Volyn (21%), Khmelnytsky (20.6%), Luhansk (20.2%), Chernivtsi (19.8%), Kharkiv (19.5%), Chernihiv and Sumy (19.1% each), Ivano-Frankivsk (18.6%), and Kherson regions (17.7%).
The highest level of wages in July was recorded in Kyiv city – UAH 16,249, and the lowest – in Kherson region (UAH 8,547). Meanwhile, the average wages of the employee in Donetsk region totalled UAH 12,010 and UAH 9,291 in Luhansk region (except for temporarily occupied territories).
In July 2019 compared with the same month of 2018, wages increased the most in agriculture (25%), industry (24.7%), administrative and support services (23.8%), in the field of IT and telecommunications (23.1%), in transport, warehousing, postal and courier activities (by 22%), building (20.7%), healthcare (20.7%), financial and insurance activities (18.5%), in the field of temporary accommodation and catering (18.1%), arts, sports and recreation activities (17.8%).

REAL WAGES IN UKRAINE IN JUNE 8.1% UP

Real wages in Ukraine in June 2019 increased by 8.1% year-over-year, while compared with May 2019 increased by 5.8%, the State Statistics Service has reported.
According to the service, the average nominal wage of full-time employees in June 2019 compared with the previous month increased by 5.3%, in annual terms – by 18%, reaching UAH 10,783.
The authority said that in May 2019 it amounted to UAH 10,239, in April – UAH 10,269, March – UAH 10,237, February – UAH 9,429, January – UAH 9,223.
According to the statistics department, the largest increase in the average wage of full-time employees in June 2019 compared with June 2018 was observed Donetsk (27.7%), Sumy (20.2%), Dnipropetrovsk (20%), Kharkiv, Mykolaiv and Zaporizhia (by 19.9%), Volyn (19.3%), Poltava (by 18.6%), Rivne (18.2%, Vinnytsia (18.1%), Kherson (17.7%) and Kyiv regions (17.4%).
The highest level of wages in May was recorded in Kyiv city – UAH 15,650, and the lowest – in Kirovohrad region (UAH 8,574). Meanwhile, the average wages of the employee in Donetsk region totalled UAH 12,483 and UAH 9,013 in Luhansk region (except for temporarily occupied territories).
In June 2019 compared with the same month of 2018, wages increased the most in arts, sports, recreation activities (by 32.2%), in the field of IT and telecommunications (by 25.5%), in real estate business (by 24.2%), healthcare (by 21.8%), industry (by 21.8%), construction (by 21.1%), professional, scientific and technical activities (by 20.5%), in the field of temporary accommodation and catering (by 19.1%), administrative and support services (by 18.9%), in transport, warehousing, postal and courier activities (by 18.6%), in agriculture (by 18.5%).

REAL WAGES IN UKRAINE 7% UP IN MAY 2019 – STATISTICS

Real wages in Ukraine in May 2019 compared with May 2018 increased by 7%, compared with April 2019 it fell by 1%, the State Statistics Service has said.
According to the agency, the average nominal wage of full-time employees in May 2019 compared with April 2019 fell by 0.3% and in annual terms it grew by 17.4%, amounting to UAH 10,239.
The service said in April 2019 it amounted to UAH 10,269, in March 2019 some UAH 10,237, February 2019 some UAH 9,429, and in January 2019 some UAH 9,223.
According to the statistics department, the largest increase in the average wage of full-time employees in May 2019 compared with May 2018 was observed in Kyiv (22.7%), Kharkiv (21.2%), Dnipropetrovsk (21.1%), Mykolaiv and Vinnytsia (by 20.2%), Zaporizhia (by 19.9%), Rivne (by 19.7%) %), Volyn (18.8%), Poltava (18.5%), Ternopil (18.4%), Luhansk and Lviv (by 18.2%), Cherkasy (18.1%), Khmelnytsky ( 17.4%) and Kirovohrad (17%) regions.
The highest level of wages in May 2019 was recorded in Kyiv city at UAH 15,157, the lowest one in Chernvtsi region at UAH 7,819.

Real wages in Ukraine in April 2019 compared with April 2018 increased by 11.2%, compared with March 2019 it fell by 0.8%, the State Statistics Service has said.
According to the agency, the average nominal wage of full-time employees in April 2019 compared with March 2019 rose by 0.3% and in annual terms by 21.1%, amounting to UAH 10,269.
The service said in March 2019 it amounted to UAH 10,237, February 2019 some UAH 9,429, and in January 2019 some UAH 9,223.
According to the statistics department, the largest increase in the average wage of full-time employees in April 2019 compared with April 2018 was observed in Dnipropetrovsk (24.9%), Kyiv (24.6%), Ternopil (24.5%), Chernihiv (23.2%), Kharkiv (22.1%), Rivne (21.6%), Donetsk ( 21.6%), Poltava (21.5%), Cherkasy (21.3%), Volyn (21.1%) regions and Kyiv city (20.7%).
The highest level of wages in April 2019 was recorded in Kyiv city at UAH 15,876, the lowest one in Kherson region at UAH 7,695.
