AIS RAISES CAR SALES BY 27%

AIS group of companies, a large operator in the automotive and special vehicles market, in January-October of this year increased car sales by 27% compared with the same period last year, to 5,500 units, the press service of the company has said.
“AIS shows a positive trend, despite the fact that the automotive market is stagnating and began to show negative dynamics,” the report says.
The income of the group of companies for this period amounted to UAH 2.7 billion, obligatory payments to the national budget (VAT, duty, excise) amounted to UAH 0.9 billion.
According to the company, during this period sales of Geely cars increased by 51%, Citroen by 33%, Peugeot by 102%. In addition, sales of MAZ trucks showed an increase of 150%.
The business program AIS AutoTrade for used cars showed a sales growth of 57%. The company is also the leader in sales of the automobile brands Renault, Citroen, Ravon, and others in Ukraine.
Among the factors contributing to the sales growth are a number of ongoing programs. In particular, due to financial products, credit/leasing sales reached 30% with the average market indicators standing at 10%-15%.

UZBEKISTAN PROVIDES UKRAINIAN PHARMA COMPANIES WITH ANNUAL SALES OF UP TO $50 MLN

Uzbekistan provides Ukrainian pharmaceutical companies operating in the country with annual sales of $49-50 million, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Ukraine Alisher Abdualiyev has said. “We literally a month and a half ago met with the management of the Farmak enterprise. This enterprise occupies one of the leading positions of Ukrainian pharmaceutical exports to Uzbekistan. In addition, the major suppliers are Ukrainian companies Arterium, YURiA-PHARM and others. We provide them with annual sales at the level of $49-50 million,” he said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
At the same time, Abdualiyev said that Ukrainian pharmaceutical products in Uzbekistan are exempted from VAT.
In addition, the ambassador recalled that in Uzbekistan in six regions of the republic, seven special pharmaceutical zones have been established that will enjoy benefits and preferences.
“A representative of Farmak has already visited Uzbekistan, looked at possible sites for the future enterprise. The other day we are to meet, discuss all issues and organize negotiations of the Farmak head in Uzbekistan,” he said.

UKRAINE INCREASES FRUIT AND BERRY EXPORTS BY 40%, MAIN SALES MARKET REMAINES EU

Ukraine in January-September 2018 exported fruits and berries in the amount of $157 million, which is 40% more compared to the same period last year. According to the Ukrsadprom association, the main products in this group were walnuts, which were delivered for $69 million, frozen fruits and berries worth $61 million, apples and pears for $10 million.
“The growth in exports of walnuts (from 13,000 tonnes in the first nine months of 2017 to 20,000 tonnes in the same period of the current year), apples and pears (from 9,000 tonnes to 29,000 tonnes respectively) was the most notable in natural terms,” according to the website of the association.
The main sales market remained the European Union, supplies to which bring about two-thirds of all foreign exchange earnings. In January-September 2018 the largest purchases of fruits were made by Poland ($32.3 million), France ($11.7 million), Belarus ($10.9 million), Turkey ($10.6 million), the Netherlands ($8.8 million), Germany ($7.4 million), and Italy ($7.2 million).
“If not to take into account imports of exotic fruits to Ukraine (mainly citrus fruits and bananas), for the three quarters of 2018 the surplus of foreign trade in fruits and berries reached $75 million,” the association said.
Ukrainian apples are exported to more than 50 countries, while they are mainly purchased by Belarus (43%), Moldova (20%), and Sweden (10%).

PHARMACY SALES IN UKRAINE 30% UP IN JAN-SEPT – BUSINESS CREDIT COMPANY

Pharmacy sales in Ukraine in January-September 2018 in monetary terms increased by 30% compared to the same period in 2017, to UAH 61.788 billion. Business Credit company told Interfax-Ukraine, in natural terms sales for the specified period increased by a mere 1%, to 1.124 million packs, while the weighted average price rose by 28%, to UAH 55 per unit of goods. According to the company, retail sales of medicines in January-September in monetary terms increased by 32%, to UAH 50.805 billion, in natural terms by 10%, to 754.352 million packs. The weighted average price of medicines in the first nine months of 2018 was UAH 67.4 per product unit.
As reported, in the first half of 2018 pharmacy sales in Ukraine in monetary terms were up by 36% compared to the same period in 2017 and amounted to UAH 43.011 billion, while sales in real terms by 5%, to 780.737 million packs.
Retail sales of drugs in the first half of the year in monetary terms grew by 38%, to UAH 35.454 billion, in natural terms by 16%, to 530.846 million packs.

PHARMACY SALES IN UKRAINE 32% UP IN JAN-AUG – BUSINESS CREDIT COMPANY

Pharmacy sales in Ukraine in monetary terms in January-August 2018 increased by 32% compared to the same period in 2017, to UAH 55.233 billion. Business Credit company told Interfax-Ukraine sales in natural terms for the specified period rose by 2%, to 1.005 million packages, while the weighted average price increased by 29%, to UAH 55 per unit of goods.
According to the company, retail sales of medicines in January-August in monetary terms grew by 34%, to UAH 45.42 billion, in natural terms by 13%, to 679.897 million packages.
As reported, in the first half of 2018 pharmacy sales in Ukraine in monetary terms were up by 36% compared to the same period in 2017 and amounted to UAH 43.011 billion, while sales in natural terms by 5%, to 780.737 million packs.
Retail sales of drugs in the first half of the year in money terms increased by 38%, to UAH 35.454 billion, in natural terms by 16%, to 530.846 million packs.

REVENUE FROM SALES OF FARMLAND LEASE RIGHTS IN JAN-AUG EXCEEDS ENTIRE 2017 FIGURE

Revenue of local budgets from the sale of rights to lease farmland parcels in state ownership by territorial agencies of the State Service for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre totaled UAH 131 million in January-August 2018.
The Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry said in a press release that in 2017, revenue from the sale of rights to lease farmland parcels in state ownership totaled UAH 118.7 million, in 2016- UAH 95.8 million and in 2015 – UAH 38.4 million.
The ministry said that the good results of land auctions were recorded in Sumy region (5,143 ha for UAH 11.98 million), Odesa region (4,162 ha for UAH 17.8 million), Donetsk region (2,897 ha for UAH 4.49 million), Chernihiv region (3,954 ha for UAH 10.9 million) and Kherson region (2,888 ha for UAH 3.14 million).
