TAS INSURER RAISES PAYMENTS BY 29% IN DEC 2020

TAS Insurance Group (Kyiv) in the last month of 2020 paid out UAH 95.23 million of compensation under concluded insurance contracts, which is 29.4% more than in December of the year before last, according to the insurer’s website.
More than a third of all payments for the reporting month (39.18%) fell on OSAGO – UAH 37.31 million, which is 58.6% higher than the corresponding figure for the same period in 2019.
The second place in the December portfolio of the company’s payments with a share of 26.76% is occupied by KASKO: under such insurance contracts, UAH 25.48 million was reimbursed, which is 18.2% more than in December 2019.
Payments under voluntary medical insurance contracts increased even more – by 60.6% – under which UAH 17.61 million was reimbursed during the last month of 2020, which is 18.49% of the insurer’s total payments for the reporting period.
As for Green Card policies, TAS paid UAH 12.98 million in January, which is 13.63% of the total amount of the insurer’s indemnities for the month.
Under other insurance contracts in December last year, the company paid UAH 1.85 million in compensation.

TAS INSURER RAISES PAYMENTS

TAS Insurance Group (Kyiv) in January-November 2020 paid UAH 792.37 million of insurance claims under concluded insurance contracts, which is 21.27% more than in the same period a year earlier (UAH 653.38 million).
According to the insurer’s website, in particular, the company reimbursed UAH 291.66 million under OSAGO policies, which is 36.81% of the total payments for the reporting period and is 11.9% more than the corresponding figure for the 11 months of last year.
The second place in the portfolio of the company’s payments with a share of 30.79% is taken by KASKO: under land transport insurance contracts, TAS paid UAH 244.01 million, which is 42.5% more than was paid in January-November 2019.
Under Green Card policies, TAS Insurance Group reimbursed UAH 123.78 million over the 11 months, which is 15.62% of the total amount of the insurer’s payments and is 28.1% more than this figure for January-November last year.
The volume of payments under voluntary medical insurance contracts increased even more (by 52%) over the year: UAH 107.7 million of compensations were paid under them. Thus, the share of voluntary medical insurance in the insurer’s payment portfolio amounted to 13.59%. In January-November, the company paid out UAH 5.49 million under property insurance contracts. During the reporting period, UAH 19.73 million of compensation were paid under other insurance contracts.

TAS GROUP RAISES PREMIUMS BY 11.7%

TAS Insurance Group (Kyiv) collected UAH 162.06 million in premiums in November, which is 11.7% more than the company’s receipts in November last year, according to the insurer’s website.
The press release notes that 35.19% of premiums fall on OSAGO – UAH 57.03 million of premiums, which is 7.3% more than in November 2019. Under KASKO agreements, UAH 47.88 million of premiums were attracted, which is 29.54% of the total income of the insurer and is 30.4% more than the corresponding figure for November 2019.
The share of Green Card in the company’s portfolio in November of this year amounted to 13.09%: on such policies UAH 21.21 million of premiums were attracted during the month.
In November, the company paid UAH 84.34 million of compensation under concluded insurance contracts, which is 26.1% more than the amount paid by the insurer for the same period a year earlier.
Under OSAGO policies, UAH 32.27 million was reimbursed during the month, which is 38.27% of the company’s total payments for the month and is 19.2% more than the corresponding figure for November 2019.
The second place in the portfolio of payments with a share of 29.03% at the end of the month is taken by KASKO: under land transport insurance contracts, UAH 24.48 million was reimbursed (more by 41%).

TAS BECOMES DIRECT SHAREHOLDER IN CONCRETE ASPHALT PLANT

T.A.S. Overseas Investments Limited (Cyprus) belonged to Sergiy Tigipko has become a direct shareholder in private joint-stock company AB Stolychny concrete asphalt plant, building up a 47.89% stake in the company. The private joint-stock company reported in the information disclosure system of the National Commission for Securities and the Stock Market that as of December 31, 2019 T.A.S. Overseas Investments become direct owner of 34.467 million ordinary shares in the plant, which the company owned indirectly via Luregio Limited (Cyprus).
Ukraine’s Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine on December 13, 2019 permitted T.A.S. Overseas Investments to acquire share in Luregio Limited, which will grant over 50% of the votes in the management body of the company.
The key shareholders of AB Stolychny concrete asphalt plant as of the third quarter of 2019 were Serhiy Samusev and Tigipko with shares of 47.9% and 22.6% respectively, as well as Forvink Limited (Cyprus, 24.7%, while as of the end of 2017, this stake was owned by Wecker Limited). The ultimate beneficiary of the company as of January 19, 2020 was Tigipko.

SERGIY TIGIPKO’S TAS ACQUIRES ASPHALT PRODUCER

Sergiy Tigipko’s TAS Group has acquired PrJSC Kyiv-based AB Stolychny asphalt and concrete plant.
Serhiy Samusev withdrew from among the plant’s shareholders by selling his stake consisting of 34,467,029 shares, which is 47.89% of the enterprise’s charter capital, the company said in the National Securities and Stock Market Commission’s information disclosure system.
Luregio Limited (Cyprus) became the new shareholder of AB Stolychny after it had purchased the shares owned by Samusev.
Meanwhile, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU), by a decision of December 13, granted permission to Cyprus T.A.S. Overseas Investments Limited whose main shareholder is Sergiy Tigipko, to purchase shares of Luregio Limited, which will provide an excess of 50% of the vote in the company’s supreme management body.
PrJSC AB Stolychny’s main shareholders as of the third quarter of 2019 were Samusev and Tigipko with shares of 47.9% and 22.6%, respectively, as well as Cyprus-based Forwincom Limited (24.7%). As of the end of 2017, the said stake belonged to Veker Limited. Samusev is listed as the ultimate beneficiary of the company as of December 16, 2019.
As reported, AB Stolychny in 2018 reduced its net profit by 35% from 2017, to UAH 38.6 million. Net income from product sales increased by 21.2%, to UAH 362.9 million. In 2018, AB Stolychny paid UAH 46.8 million in dividends to shareholders.
AB Stolychny was established in 2004 on the basis of a concrete, reinforced concrete, construction materials plant (municipally owned Concrete Products Plant before 1997). It produces asphalt mix for the construction and repair of roads. It also markets reinforced concrete products for underpasses, collectors, and other engineering and road construction facilities.
According to the State Register of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs, AB Stolychny’s charter capital as of December 2019 was UAH 17.99 million.
The TAS Group was founded in 1998. It has assets in the financial and industrial sectors, agriculture, real estate, pharmaceuticals and venture projects. The group’s financial sector includes TAScombank, Universal Bank, VS Bank, two insurance companies, and a number of other organizations. The founder and main shareholder of the group is Tigipko.

TAS INSURANCE GROUP IN MAY RAISES PREMIUM COLLECTION BY 32%

TAS Insurance Group in May 2019 collected UAH 133 million of insurance premiums, which is 32.3% more than in May last year, according to the insurer’s website.
OSAGO occupied the largest share of the insurer’s revenues in May with 38.69% and UAH 51.46 million of premiums attracted, which is 23.2% more than the figure for the fifth month of 2018.
The volume of revenues on Green Card policies, in turn, increased by 64.7%, to UAH 33.13 million of premiums in May, which is 24.91% of the total premiums for the month. KASKO ranked third in the revenue portfolio of TAS group with a share of 18%: some UAH 23.95 million of premiums were collected under land transport insurance contracts during the fifth month of the current year, which is 40.5% more than in the reporting period of 2018.
TAS Insurance Group in May raised UAH 3.81 million in premiums under property insurance contracts, UAH 3.13 million under voluntary medical insurance contracts, while revenues from other insurance contracts amounted to UAH 17.53 million.
In May, TAS Insurance Group paid UAH 58.69 million in insurance claim fees, which is 12.6% more than the amount paid by the company for the fifth month of last year.
