UKRAINIAN TRANSPORT COMPANIES INCREASE PASSENGER TRAFFIC

Ukrainian transport companies carried almost 2.428 billion passengers in January-November 2021, which is 3.5% more than in the same period in 2020, the State Statistics Service reported.
The passenger turnover of transport companies amounted to 57.4 billion passenger-kilometers in January-November 2021, which is 27.5% more than in 2020.
According to the State Statistics Service, 75 million passengers used railway transport during the specified period (including city train traffic), which is 19.6% more than in January-November 2020, and 999.4 million passengers (0.8% more) used road transport services.
Air transport increased passenger traffic by 92.3%, to 8.7 million people.
In addition, according to the State Statistics Service, over 11 months of 2021, some 364 million passengers used trams (5.8% less versus January-November 2020), 437.2 million (17.7% more) used subway, and 542.8 million (2.7% more) used trolleybuses.
During the specified period, water transport carried 500,000 passengers (51.1% more).
As noted by the State Statistics Service, the figures are given without taking into account the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, Sevastopol and part of Donetsk and Luhansk regions not controlled by the government.

Ukrainian transport companies carried almost 2.215 billion passengers in January-October 2021, which is 4% more than in the same period in 2020, the State Statistics Service has reported.The passenger turnover of transport companies in January-October 2021 amounted to 53 billion passenger-kilometers, which is 28.4% more than last year.According to the State Statistics Service, 69.4 million passengers used rail transport in January-October (including city commuter train services), which is 20.8% more than in January-October 2020, and 911.6 million passengers were carried by road (1.1% more).Air transport increased passenger traffic by 91.8%, to 8.2 million people.In addition, according to the State Statistics Service, in January-October 2021, some 331.1 million passengers used trams (5.8% less compared to January-October 2020), 399.3 million used subway (18.9% more), and 495.3 million used trolleybuses (3.4% more).During the specified period, water transport carried 500,000 passengers (72.5% more).

Ukrainian transport companies carried 1.263 billion passengers in January-June 2021, which is 4.2% more than in January-June 2020, the State Statistics Service has reported.
The passenger turnover of transport enterprises in the specified period amounted to 27.9 billion passenger-kilometers, which is 21.1% less than in January-June last year.
According to the State Statistics Service, 38.9 million passengers used railway transport in January-June 2021 (including city commuter trains), which is 19.6% more than in the same period in 2020, and 524.2 million passengers used road transport (1.8% more).
Air transport reduced passenger traffic by 68.4%, to 3.4 million people.
In addition, according to the State Statistics Service, in January-June 2021, some 189.2 million passengers used trams (5.9% less versus January-June 2020), subway carried 217.5 million people (23.2% more), trolleybuses some 289.6 million people (1.6% more).
During the specified period, water transport carried 0.1 million passengers (a rise of 689%).
As noted by the State Statistics Service, the indicators are given without taking into account the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, Sevastopol and part of the non-controlled territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Ukrainian transport companies carried 1.026 billion passengers in January-May 2021, which is 1.4% more than in January-May 2020, the State Statistics Service has reported.
The passenger turnover of transport enterprises in the specified period amounted to 21.5 billion passenger-kilometers, which is 7% more than in January-May last year.
According to the State Statistics Service, 29.9 million passengers used railway transport in January-May 2021 (including city commuter trains), which is 6.8% more than in the same period in 2020, and 426.9 million passengers used road transport (1.5% more).
Air transport reduced passenger traffic by 20%, to 2.4 million people.
In addition, according to the State Statistics Service, in January-May 2021, some 155.4 million passengers used trams (9% less versus January-May 2020), subway carried 174.4 million people (21.1% more), trolleybuses some 236.9 million people (4% less).
During the specified period, water transport carried 0.1 million passengers.

UKRAINIAN TRANSPORT COMPANIES TRANSPORTED 187 MLN PEOPLE IN JANUARY 2021

Ukrainian transport companies transported 187.1 million people in January 2021, which is 44.7% less than in the same period in 2020, the State Statistics Service has reported.
According to its data, the passenger turnover of transport companies for the reporting period amounted to 3.7 billion passenger-kilometers, which is 52.1% less than this figure for the indicated period of the last year.
According to the State Statistics Service, 5.4 million passengers used rail transport in January of this year (including city commuter train services), which is 51.8% less than in January 2020, and 80.5 million passengers used road transport (44.7% less).
Air transport reduced passenger traffic by 65.4%, to 300,000 people.
In addition, according to the State Statistics Service, in January 26.5 million passengers used trams (a decrease of 46.4% compared to the same period a year earlier), the metro carried 32.1 million people (a decrease of 41.2%), trolleybuses some 42.3 million passengers (a decrease of 44.8%).
The indicators are given without taking into account the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, Sevastopol and part of the temporarily occupied areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

UKRAINIAN TRANSPORT COMPANIES REDUCE CARGO TRANSPORTATION BY 11% IN 2020

Ukrainian transport companies, as well as part of the JFO zone) reduced the cargo transportation by 11.2% in 2020 compared to 2019, to 600 million tonnes, the State Statistics Service said.
According to it, in 2020, the cargo turnover of carriers decreased by 14.3%, to 290.3 billion tonne-kilometers.
According to statistics, in 2020, some 305.5 million tonnes of cargo were transported by rail in domestic traffic and for export, which is 2.4% less than in 2019. Some 191.3 million tonnes (less by 21.7%) were transported by road, 5.6 million tonnes (less by 8.3%) by water transport, 97.5 million tonnes (less by 13.5%) by pipelines, and 100,000 tonnes (less by 6.7%) by air.
