In January-May 2024, Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC launched 36 new gas wells, the press service of Naftogaz Group reports.
According to it, 11 of them are highly productive and produce more than 100 thousand cubic meters of gas per day.
“Our production in the first five months of 2024 increased by 10% compared to the same period last year. This is the result of the hard work of our specialists. At the beginning of the year, they showed better drilling results, and we have 11 high-yield wells. This is an important result, and we aim to maintain the pace and increase production by the end of the year,” said Alexey Chernyshev, Group CEO.
As reported, in 2022, UGV produced 12.5 bcm of natural gas (commercial), which is 3% less than in 2021. At the end of 2023, the company’s commercial gas production amounted to 13.224 billion cubic meters, which is 0.679 billion cubic meters more than in 2022.
In 2023, UGV launched 86 new wells, including 24 with an initial flow rate of more than 100 thousand cubic meters.

In January-March 2024, Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC increased gas production by 12% compared to the same period in 2023, Naftogaz reports on its website without specifying the final figure.
“This is the result of the launch of new productive wells, as well as effective work with the old stock. Our goal is to maintain this trend and reach production growth by the end of the year,” Naftogaz CEO Oleksiy Chernyshev said in a statement.
According to him, traditionally, the highest production rates are in the east of the country, but in the west and central regions, the plan was also exceeded.
“Every gas production department of Ukrgasvydobuvannya, despite the shelling and sometimes even the lack of electricity supply, is meeting the gas production targets for this year. At the same time, there are risks, we understand that there may be shelling. However, the company will do everything possible to continue to meet the country’s needs,” added the company’s CEO Oleh Tolmachov.

In January-February 2024, JSC Ukrgasvydobuvannya (UGV) paid UAH 3.9 billion in rent payments, the company’s press service reports.
According to the press service, UAH 195.8 million, or 5%, went to the regional and local budgets where the company operates, and the rest to the state budget.
Local budgets of Kharkiv and Poltava regions received the largest amount of deductions over two months – UAH 100.1 million and UAH 78.8 million respectively, Lviv region – UAH 8.5 million, Dnipropetrovs’k region – UAH 3.9 million, and others – UAH 4.4 million.
As reported, UGV paid UAH 23.8 billion in rent payments in 2023, of which UAH 1.19 billion, or 5%, went to the budgets of local and regional levels.

Since the beginning of 2024, JSC Ukrgasvydobuvannya (UGV) has launched its fourth high-performance well, with a daily flow rate of about 400 thousand cubic meters, the press service of Naftogaz of Ukraine Group reported on Wednesday.
According to the press service, thanks to the efficient work of Ukrburgaz specialists, the well was completed in just 105 days, which is 30% faster than the project schedule. During the work, a daily record was set for one team to drill 905 meters in 24 hours.
Specialists of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Natural Gases (UkrNDIGas), a part of the Naftogaz Group, correctly assessed the residual potential of the old field, successfully identified the well site and proved the high prospects of drilling in this area.
As reported, in 2023, UGV launched 86 new wells, including 24 with an initial flow rate of more than 100 thousand cubic meters. In January 2024, the company put into operation a well with a daily flow rate of 250 thousand cubic meters, and in February – two more new wells with a total daily flow rate of 550 thousand cubic meters.

In the first days of 2024, Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC commissioned a new exploration well with a daily flow rate of 250 thousand cubic meters, the press service of Naftogaz of Ukraine reported on Friday.
The well has a design depth of 3950 meters and was drilled by Ukrburgaz (a branch of UGV).
According to the press service, this is the 10th well in this field, which shows a high result. The company’s specialists continue to explore its potential: using new technologies and engineering solutions, the company is increasing production.
“In some parts of this field, we have good 3D seismic data, which allows us to determine the optimal points for drilling new wells. Ten exploration wells have completed the geological information picture, and we plan to start production drilling this year,” said UGV CEO Oleg Tolmachev.
