President of Ukraine grateful to Britain for expanding sanctions list

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the UK for expanding the sanctions list against Russian citizens and businesses for their involvement in the war in Ukraine.
“Today it became known that the UK has expanded the sanctions list against Russia, adding dozens of people and organizations. This is the right trend. I am grateful to the UK for its unwavering firmness in sanctions issues. This is an example that should be inherited by everyone else in the Western community,” he said in a video statement.

PRESIDENT ZELENSKY: THERE IS PROGRESS IN NEGOTIATIONS ON GRAIN EXPORTS IN TURKEY

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky noted “certain progress in the negotiations in Turkey on the restoration of food exports from Ukraine through the Black Sea.
“We are indeed making significant efforts to restore food supplies to the global market. I am grateful to the UN and Turkey for their respective efforts,” he said Wednesday evening in a traditional video message.
“The success of this story is needed not only by our state, but, without exaggeration, by the whole world. If the Russian threat to shipping in the Black Sea is removed, this will alleviate the severity of the global food crisis,” Zelensky said.
“The Ukrainian delegation reported to me that there is some progress. In the coming days, we will discuss the details with the UN Secretary General,” he said in conclusion.

UKRAINIAN PRESIDENT ZELENSKY APPOINTES SPECIAL REPRESENTATIVE FOR MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed Maxim Subkh as Special Representative of Ukraine for the Middle East and Africa.
The corresponding decree is dated July 12 and published on the website of the head of state.

PRESIDENT ZELENSKY DISMISSES FOUR MORE AMBASSADORS OF UKRAINE

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, following the dismissal of Andriy Melnyk from the post of Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany, also dismissed 4 more ambassadors by decrees of July 9. In particular, Ludmila Nepop was fired from the post of Ukraine’s ambassador to Hungary, Vyacheslav Yatsyuk from the post of Ukraine’s ambassador to Norway, Yevhen Perebiinos from the post of Ukraine’s ambassador to the Czech Republic.
Igor Polikha was also fired from the post of Ambassador of Ukraine to India, as well as from the post of Ambassador of Ukraine to the Maldives, Nepal, Shri Lanka, Bangladesh concurrently.
Nepop has been Ukraine’s ambassador to Hungary since 2016. Yatsyuk was appointed Ambassador of Ukraine to Norway in 2016. Perebiynis has been Ukraine’s ambassador to Norway since 2017. Poliha has served as the Ambassador of Ukraine to India since 2015.

PRESIDENT OF UKRAINE VOLODYMYR ZELENSKY DISMISSED ANDRIY MELNYK FROM POST OF AMBASSADOR OF UKRAINE TO GERMANY

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has dismissed Andriy Melnyk from the post of Ukraine’s ambassador to Germany.
The corresponding decree was signed on July 9 and posted on the website of the head of state.
Melnyk has served as Ukraine’s ambassador to Germany since 2014.

PRESIDENT ZELENSKY: CONFERENCE IN LUGANO COULD BE START OF LARGE-SCALE RESTORATION OF UKRAINE

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky called the conference in Lugano, which will begin on Monday, “a significant step towards the restoration of Ukraine.”
“We are actively preparing for the start of a special conference in Lugano, Switzerland. Her first day is Monday. A large-scale international event dedicated to the restoration of our country. Recovery in the broadest sense of the word. It is necessary not only to restore everything that the invaders destroyed, but to create a new foundation for our life, for Ukraine – safe, modern, convenient, barrier-free,” he said in a traditional video message on Saturday evening.
“This requires huge investments – billions, new technologies, best practices, new institutions and, of course, reforms. And now, on Monday, Ukraine will present in Lugano a national view on how to implement all this,” he also said.
In fact, he noted, “this is the biggest economic project in Europe of our time and an opportunity to show itself for every state, for every company that we invite to work in Ukraine.”
Zelensky recalled that the territories of 10 regions suffered from the hostilities. During this time, 1027 cities and towns were liberated, another 2610 are still under Russian occupation. And most of them need restoration.
“Therefore, the Conference in Lugano can be a significant step towards the restoration of Ukraine. And when we implement this project – and I’m sure it will be – it will be counted, perhaps from this event,” Zelensky stressed.
