GROUP OF DEPUTIES OF UKRAINE PROPOSES TO EXPAND STATE BUDGET DEFICIT BY UAH 200 BLN AND INCREASE RESERVE FUND BY THIS AMOUNT

A group of people’s deputies, headed by the head of the budget committee of the parliament, Yuri Aristov, proposes to expand the state budget deficit and increase the expenditures of the reserve fund by this amount, bill 7299, registered on the website of the parliament on Tuesday, testifies.
According to the bill, it is proposed to increase state budget expenditures to UAH 1.793 trillion, including UAH 1.572 trillion for the general fund, and the state budget limit deficit to UAH 456.363 billion, including the general fund deficit to UAH 360.259 billion.

DEFICIT OF UKRAINIAN STATE BUDGET TOTALS UAH 43 BLN IN H1

The state budget in January-June 2021 had a deficit of UAH 43.2 billion, and the general fund deficit was almost UAH 50.2 billion, the State Treasury Service of Ukraine has reported.
According to the data on its website, the state budget deficit in June 2021 amounted to UAH 9.47 billion, including the deficit of the general fund reached UAH 18.4 billion.
As the State Treasury Service said, borrowings in the first six months of 2021 amounted to UAH 264.7 billion, including external – UAH 51.5 billion, while repayments for the specified period reached UAH 231 billion, including on external liabilities – almost UAH 24.7 billion.
According to the State Treasury Service, privatization in January-June of this year brought UAH 1.048 billion, while at the end of the year UAH 12 billion is expected to be received under this item.
In general, state budget receipts in the first half of the year amounted to almost UAH 592 billion, including UAH 505.9 billion in the general fund, and expenditures reached UAH 633.6 billion, including UAH 558.7 billion in the general fund, according to the data of the State Treasury Service.

UKRAINIAN CABINET OF MINISTERS EXPECTS REDUCTION OF BUDGET DEFICIT BY HALF

According to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, the approved documents provide for the reduction of the budget deficit by almost half and the return of this indicator to the planned 3% in 2023.
“The public debt is planned to be reduced to less than 50% of GDP,” Shmyhal said.
At the same time, from 2023, Ukraine will be able to enter a stable trend of economic development by 5% per year, he said.
