Ukraine has presented in the United States 30 of the most relevant projects in the electric power industry with an expected cost of $16.85 billion, having constructively discussed them, in particular, with the leadership of the Export-Import Bank of the United States and the World Bank, Energy Minister Herman Haluschenko said.
“We have constructively talked with the leadership of the U.S. Export-Import Bank and the World Bank about raising funds for the implementation of projects to develop the Ukrainian energy sector and strengthen energy security. The expected cost of the 30 most urgent projects in the electric power sector is $16.85 billion. The total investment demand for projects in the electric power industry is $25 billion,” he wrote on Facebook on Friday, summing up the work during the visit of the President of Ukraine to the United States.
According to him, the general atmosphere of the meetings and the agreements reached allow us to confidently declare: Ukraine really has the support of the United States in strengthening its energy security and independence.
He also said that “productive meetings” by Deputy Head of the U.S. Department of State Victoria Nuland; Senior Adviser to the U.S. Secretary of State Amos Hochstein; the leadership of the U.S. Bureau of Energy Resources, as well as the agreement on technical assistance for the implementation of decarbonization measures in Ukraine with U.S. Assistance Secretary of Energy Andrew Light and U.S. Secretary of Energy Jenniffer Granholm’s support for energy reform.
He also drew attention to the signing by Energoatom of a number of agreements with Westinghouse and NuScale, calling them “significant steps forward in the nuclear energy sector.”
According to him, meetings with LNG Allies (Association of LNG and Liquefied Natural Gas Producers) and DFC (U.S. International Development Finance Corporation) confirmed the interest of the U.S. companies in partnership with Ukraine, the potential of which is huge and the Energy Ministry is determined to implement it.
“It is very important that both the Ukrainian and American sides are aimed at achieving a concrete result,” the minister said.
The Ministry of Finance has proposed that spending on health care is budgeted at 4.5% of GDP, on education at 7.2% in the consolidated document for 2022, the ministry said on its website on Friday.
“We plan to budget spending on healthcare at 4.5% of GDP for next year,” the press service of Deputy Finance Minister Roman Yermolychev reported, citing him speaking after a meeting with representatives of trade unions and employers regarding budgeting for 2022.
At the same time, Yermolychev emphasized the need to improve the efficiency of the use of funds not only in medicine, but also in education.
“In the field of education, funds should work for education. Next year, it is planned about 7.2% of GDP according to the consolidated budget. We assume the possibility of updating the material and technical base of schools and supporting the organization of high-quality meals for students of general secondary educational institutions,” the Deputy Minister of Finance said.
As reported, when preparing the state budget for 2021, ex-Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov insisted on the need to budget 5% of GDP on health care. In turn, Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko said that an increase in financing of the Ministry of Health to 5% may occur in 2023 thanks to a gradual increase in this dynamics from 4.2% of GDP budgeted in 2021.

Digital expo is three sites, each in its own language: in Ukrainian, English and Chinese. This is done in order to improve market coverage and increase the confidence of foreign companies located in different regions of the world.
In fact, “Digital expo – Ukrainian Products and Services” is not a new project of the Ukrainian Exporters Club. It is a modernized, updated and adapted to modern market needs “Inspired By The Best In Ukraine” Project, which was created in 2015.
The previous project was supported by DHL and the EBRD at various stages of its life. It presented Ukrainian products and services at the international exposition IF CHINA in Beijing in 2016 and CIIE in China in 2019.
In the summer of 2021, the electronic catalogues of the Ukrainian Exporters Club became Digital expo.
In the last 3 months (June to August) of 2021, the exhibitors received more than 10,000 requests for cooperation from Malaysia, Poland, Turkey, China, Korea, Baltic States and other countries.
The modern project has become even better. It participates in international online expositions, including: worldexpo, expotobi, food1.com, echemi.com, infobel.com, foodfocus.co.za and others.

USAID Agriculture Growing Rural Opportunities (USAID Agro) and the National Association of Agricultural Advisory Services of Ukraine will create the online resource center “Best agricultural practices for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSME)” to provide its participants with knowledge about modern agricultural technologies in a number of agricultural sectors.
USAID Agro wrote about the agreement signed on September 1 to create this online project on Facebook.
“The resource center will provide agricultural MSMEs with practical knowledge and an indicative base about modern agricultural technologies in Ukraine and the world that can be introduced in the horticultural sector, livestock, aquaculture, poultry (except for chickens), in the production of confectionery and craft products,” the report says.
The project will become a communication platform where successful farmers will share their achievements with their potential followers. For this, Internet technologies, social networks will be used, educational webinars, meetings, fairs and conferences will be held, the “Best agro-practices” bulletin will be published.
It is specified that state and local authorities, public organizations, associations, scientific organizations and agricultural journalists are invited to participate in the project.
The beneficiaries of the project will be farmers from all over Ukraine, in particular, the target areas of the USAID Agro project are Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Cherkasy regions.
“The resource center will give a new impetus to the development of agricultural consulting, in particular, for the cooperation of advisers with farmers, institutions of agricultural science and education, research and design institutes, associations,” the organization summed up.
The National Association of Agricultural Advisory Services of Ukraine is an association of agricultural advisers and advisory services promoting modern management and production technologies at the MSME level, as well as implementing a number of projects related to the application of modern approaches to agricultural production.
Farmak pharmaceutical company (Kyiv) was the first among Ukrainian pharmaceutical companies to implement the SAP SuccessFactors system to automate the most important and time-consuming processes in the field of personnel management, and is introducing a new module – SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting.
According to a press release from the company, the SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting module will cover and automate the entire recruiting process – from sending applications to find a person to starting a job.

“The signing of the memorandum will allow us, together with Medtronic, to work in the field of innovative biomedical technologies, to receive significant support to improve the qualifications of our doctors, to introduce effective screening solutions for the implementation of the Healthy Ukraine presidential program,” Health Minister Viktor Liashko said.
According to the statement, it is planned to expand cooperation in the field of comprehensive counteraction to cardiovascular diseases and the introduction of innovative technologies to prevent complications in patients with diabetes mellitus.
“Within the cooperation, we agreed to consider the possibility of localizing the production of certain medical devices of the company in Ukraine within the government support for projects with significant investments, the so-called investment nannies, as well as expanding Medtronic’s cooperation with Ukrainian companies specializing in IT solutions,” the Health Ministry said.
In addition, cooperation in the scientific field is planned.
