UKRAINE EXPORTS 2.4 MLN TONNES OF GRAIN SINCE START OF MARKETING YEAR

Ukraine since the beginning of the new 2019/2020 marketing year (MY, July-June) and as of July 24, 2019 had exported 2.435 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops.
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, farmers exported 1.41 million tonnes of corn, 526,000 tonnes of wheat, and 499,000 tonnes of barley.
Some 21,300 tonnes of flour had been also exported on that date.
As reported, with reference to the ministry, Ukraine exported a record 50.4 million tonnes of grain in the 2018/2019 marketing year, which is 23% more than in the previous MY.

LARGEST UKRAINIAN BANK WILL START SELLING ITS PROPERTY AT DUTCH AUCTIONS

PrivatBank (Kyiv) will start selling its property with discounts, as well as at Dutch auctions through the electronic trading platforms LOT.PB and OpenMarket (SETAM state enterprise), the press service of SETAM has reported.
“In the near future, such auctions will be held on objects agreed by the board of the bank,” the report says.
According to the report, PrivatBank will put up for sale own real estate objects in almost all regions of Ukraine.
“The decline in real estate prices is planned for a large number of non-core assets to accelerate the sale of the facilities that are not used in the bank’s operating activities,” the report says.
PrivatBank specified that, in addition to traditional sales, it is planned to conduct bidding according to the Dutch auction model, which implies the reduction of the lot price during the bidding process.

UKRAINE CANCELS LICENSING FOR IMPORTS OF SPIRIT, ALCOHOL, CIGARETTES

The Cabinet of Ministers has abolished licensing for imports and exports of ethyl, cognac and fruit alcohol, ethyl rectified grape and fruit spirit, alcoholic drinks and tobacco products.
The decision was made at a government meeting on July 24 with the subsequent coordination with Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze.

UKRTRANSNAFTA PAYS UAH 1.463 BLN OF DIVIDENDS TO NAFTOGAZ

JSC Ukrtransnafta has transferred 100% of its net profit in the amount of UAH 1.463 billion for 2018 in dividends to Naftogaz Ukrainy.
The press service of the company said last year the company also sent 100% of its net profit for 2017 in the amount of UAH 2.139 billion to pay dividends.
As reported, Ukrtransnafta in 2018 reduced its net profit by 31.6% (by UAH 676.454 million) compared to 2017, to UAH 1.463 billion. Net sales income rose by 2.3%, to UAH 3.873 billion, while gross profit decreased by 21.2%, to UAH 1.452 billion.
In 2018, Ukrtransnafta transported 15.436 million tonnes of oil, including 13.335 million tonnes in transit to European refineries, 1.344 million tonnes of domestic oil and 680,500 tonnes of imported oil to the refineries of Ukraine.
Ukrtransnafta, 100% managed by NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy, is the operator of the oil transportation system of Ukraine.

UKRAINE PLANS TO AVOID DOUBLE TAXATION WITH OMAN

The Cabinet of Ministers has authorized Finance Minister Oksana Markarova to sign an agreement with the government of Oman to avoid double taxation and prevent tax evasion with respect to income and capital taxes.
The government made the relevant decision at a meeting on July 24 without discussion.
In addition, the government authorized Markarova to sign a protocol on amendments to the agreement on avoiding double taxation with the government of the United Arab Emirates.

VEGETABLE OIL COMPANY RISOIL WILL INSTALL NEW SILOS IN GRAIN TERMINAL IN CHORNOMORSK PORT

Risoil S.A. plans to install eight new silos at the grain terminal Risoil Terminal in Chornomorsk port and increase the capacity of storage by 105,000 tonnes, to 257,000 tonnes on average (depending on the crops). “This month, the installation of eight new silos begins. The volume of storage will be 105,000 tonnes more. The supplier of silos is AGI, the leading global manufacturer of equipment. It is planned to compete the installation work by the end of 2019,” the group said on Facebook.
Risoil S.A. was established in Geneva (Switzerland) in 2000. Its core business is logistics of oil, bulk and general cargo in the ports of the Black Sea, the sale and production of vegetable oils, trade in grains and oilseeds in containers, storage and processing of agro-industrial products.
The grain terminal Risoil Terminal in Chornomorsk port was put into operation in 2016.
