KYIV. Dec 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Kharkiv Sparkling Wine Factory has launched production of new sparkling wine under the Novy Svet brand.
“Today we announced the result of the work lasted for the past 12 months – the return of the Novy Svet brand… Now it is transferred to Kharkiv Sparkling Wine Factory under the license agreement, as Novy Svet was our enterprise,” Agricultural Policy and Food Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Pavlenko said at the presentation of new brands of sparkling wine in Kyiv on Tuesday.
The minister said that if the introduction of the Novy Svet brand production is success, the similar mechanism will be used for the Massandra concern.
“Kharkiv Sparkling Wine Factory and Novy Svet had different technological processes, and it was difficult for us to start production. Nevertheless, using the same wine materials used by Novy Svet we received 12 kinds of wine approved by the taste panel. This will be Ukrainian sparkling wine with retaining of Novy Svet brand for Ukrainian consumers,” Director of Kharkiv Sparkling Wine Factory Andriy Malyshev said.
It is planned to produce 30,000-40,000 bottles by New Year, he said. The preliminary cost of one bottle of Novy Svet wine will be UAH 100.
KYIV. Dec 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Vehicle production in Ukraine grew by 95.5% in November 2015 year-over-year and 84.4% compared to October 2015, to 1,167 units, according to tentative data from the Ukrautoprom association.
The association said that 838 passenger cars were made, and it was 90.5% up on October 2015 and 2.1 times up on November 2014.
Zaporizhia Automobile Plant (ZAZ) made 677 passenger cars, and this is five times more than in October 2015 and 3.2 times more year-over-year.
ZAZ in November produced 63 commercial vehicles, while in October 2015 and November 2014 no commercial vehicle was made.
Commercial vehicle output in November grew by almost 60% on October 2015 and by 21% on November 2014, to 185.
Bus production last month rose by 87% on October 2015 and more than doubled on November 2014, to 144 buses.
Bogdan Corporation produced 20 buses in Lutsk compared to one bus in October 2015 and six buses in November 2014.
In January-November 2015, 6,434 vehicles were made in Ukraine, and the decline in production was 77.2% year-over-year.
Passenger car output fell by 83%, to 4,362, and commercial vehicle production was down by 18.8%, to 1,395, and bus production fell by 20%, to 677.
KYIV. Dec 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The planned volume of capital investment to design and realize 10 state investment projects selected by the commission for public investment will be UAH 1 billion in 2016, according to the list of the investment projects selected for financing from the national budget posted by the Economic Development and Trade Ministry of Ukraine on Tuesday.
According to the document, in 2017 and 2018 the annual financing for the selected investment projects will be UAH 1 billion.
In 2016, UAH 395 million will be provided to build the diagnostic and therapeutic complex of the Okhmatdyt national children’s hospital.
Another UAH 232.078 million will be sent to reconstruct roads in Lviv region in 2016.
UAH 115 million will be provided to complete construction of a hospital as a part of the project on reconstruction and expansion of the National Cancer Institute in 2016.
Some UAH 95 million is foreseen for restoration of Mariyinsky Palace in 2016. UAH 162.9 million will be provided to reconstruct hydrotechnical facilities on the Dnipro River, radioactive waste storage facilities and to create the Mystetsky Arsenal museum, reconstruct Kolomyichenko Institute of Otolaryngology and Romodanov Institute of Neurosurgery.
KYIV. Dec 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ten Ukrainian companies will be able to receive permits to supply dairy products to the European Union (EU) from January 10, 2016 if the European Commission has no remarks.
The Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry of Ukraine reported on its website that the European Commission sent a letter saying that 10 Ukrainian companies officially passed the audit.
“If within one month European countries do not send comments, on January 10, 2016 ten companies will receive access to the European market,” the ministry said, citing Minister Oleksiy Pavlenko.
He said that the European quality certificates are a large step forward in the issue of opening new markets. The certificates would confirm the compliance of Ukrainian dairy products to international requirements and standards and would expand the export potential of the Ukrainian agricultural sector.
“European certificates allow boosting exports of dairy products not only to the European market, but also other markets, for example, Asia and Africa,” the minister said.
KYIV. Dec 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Boryspil International Airport, the largest airport in Ukraine, in January-November 2015 increased passenger traffic by 6% compared to the same period in 2014, to 6.757 million passengers.
According to the press service of the airport, revenues in the period more than doubled as compared to the eleven months of 2014, to UAH 2.6 billion.
“The introduction of a new development strategy in 2015 allowed the airport in November this year to ensure the early implementation of the annual financial plan of the state-owned enterprise in terms of both financial performance and production indicators,” head of Boryspil airport Yevhen Dykhne said.
The airport also reported that in the 11 months of 2015 it repaid over UAH 1.6 billion of loans and interest to the Ministry of Finance and banks.
“Providing the profitability of the state enterprise enabled to increase the amount of payments to the national budget and state targeted funds by five times, to UAH 231 million. The total amount of payments to the budgets of all levels for the 11 months exceeded UAH 405 million,” reads the report.
KYIV. Dec 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers has approved license terms for the activities of tour operators.
The corresponding solution is fixed in government decree No. 991 of November 11, 2015, posted on its web portal.
Under the document, the license terms define the procedure for tour operators’ obtaining licenses to conduct such activities, as well as establish organizational, human and technological requirements for the licensee companies, the implementation of which is required for performing tour operators’ activities.
According to the license conditions, the head of a tour operator company, its branch or any other unit should have a higher profile education, and its staff should include at least 30% of employees with higher education in the field of tourism and experience in this field for at least three years.
