Since the beginning of this year — during the energy crisis — Kyiv has received a total of more than 840 generators of various capacities — from 5 kW to 900 kW — from partners and donors from various countries, the capital’s mayor Vitali Klitschko said on Saturday.
He said on Telegram that one of the generators, which was handed over to Kyiv on Saturday by Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo, will be used in one of the lyceums in the central part of the city. The generator has already been delivered to the educational institution.
In total, Paris has sent eight 112 kW generators to Kyiv. Four power sources have already arrived in the city. Four more are expected in the coming days, Klitschko wrote.
According to the mayor, in April 2022, Paris and Kyiv signed a Friendship and Cooperation Agreement, and since the start of the full-scale war, the mayor’s office of the French capital has been sending various humanitarian aid to Kyiv, including generators and other necessary equipment.
