ARSENAL INSURANCE COLLECTES INSURANCE PREMIUMS IN THE AMOUNT OF UAH 1.185 BLN

Arsenal Insurance (Kyiv) in January-September 2018 collected insurance premiums in the amount of UAH 1.185 billion, which is 2.2% more than in the same period of 2017, according to a press release from the insurer.
According to its data, about 40% of all receipts were payments from individual users of insurance services, mainly from the owners of KASKO, OSAGO, travel insurance and property protection policies.
At the same time, the company notes a significant increase in its presence in the corporate insurance sector. In particular, the volume of insurance of property owned by corporate clients has increased, as well as the provision of health insurance services for personnel: premiums in these areas increased by 48% and 28% respectively.
During this period, insurance claim fee payments to customers amounted to UAH 309.8 million (32.8% more). Of these, KASKO payments reached more than UAH 192 million on 8,350 insured events.
Arsenal Insurance is the successor of Arsenal-Dnipro, operating in Ukraine since 2005. It owns more than 25 licenses. It is represented in all regional centers and some major cities of the country.

VUSO INSURER RAISES PREMIUM COLLECTION BY 40% IN 2018

VUSO insurance company (Kyiv) collected UAH 495.662 million of insurance premiums for January-September 2018, which is 40.13% more compared to the same period in 2017, the insurer said in a press release.
According to its data, the main gain compared with the same period last year was provided by voluntary medical insurance, auto insurance (KASKO and OSAGO), bank insurance for a total of UAH 358.71 million.
The most significant increase in premiums was recorded at the expense of KASKO program sales: for the nine months car owners purchased voluntary auto insurance contracts in the amount of UAH 129.456 million, which is 57.9% more than last year’s fees, OSAGO for UAH 107.631 million (21.84% more).
In addition, the company noted an increasing consumer interest in other types of insurance. In particular, the growth in voluntary medical insurance amounted to 34.07%, while those traveling abroad by 17%. At the same time, a significant share in the growth of sales for this type of insurance was that of online sales. The online insurance channel increased sales by 2.5 times.
The company also reports that during this period it paid customers UAH 143.641 million, which is 24.2% more than in the same period a year earlier.
VUSO insurance company has been working in the Ukrainian market since 2001. It owns 24 licenses: 16 for voluntary, and eight for compulsory insurance.

MILK ALLIANCE TO DEVELOP LACTOSE FREE PRODUCT LINE IN 2019

The Milk Alliance Group next year plans to develop the lactose free product line, Chairman of the supervisory board of the group Serhiy Vovchenko has said.
“Now it is only the milk under “Yahotynske for Children” trademark. We will transfer it to retail stores in the second half of November. The price of milk is based on the cost of production of this product. Our basic wholesale selling price is UAH 36. What price the retail chains will set depends only on them. Next year we will develop a line of lactose free products, including dairy products,” he told Interfax-Ukraine.
According to Vovchenko, the group has already made the necessary investments in the launch of lactose free products.
“We are completing the reconstruction at the baby food factory. This year we have already invested almost UAH 70 million in the baby food factory and this is not everything that is to be funded. There will be more expenses before the end of the year,” the chairman of the supervisory board said.
In addition, Vovchenko said that the Milk Alliance does not plan to produce vegan milk.
Milk Alliance unites Pyriatyn cheese factory, Bashtanka cheese factory, Horodenka, Trostianets, Novoarkhanhelsk and Zgurivka cheese factories, Zolotonosha butter factory, Yahotyn butter factory, Varvamaslosyrzavod, as well as Etalonmolprodukt and Etalon trade house sales companies.

UKRTRANSGAZ CREATES BRANCH TO MANAGE UNDERGROUND GAS STORAGE FACILITIES

JSC Ukrtransgaz has created a new branch – Operator of Ukrainian Gas Storage Facilities, which will be responsible for the provision of gas storage services and operation of underground gas storage facilities.
The company said in a press release that the branch would consolidate all assets, processes and employees required for the provision of gas storage services. It is planned that the branch will start operating at a full capacity from January 1, 2019. The branch will function as a structural unit of Ukrtransgaz, without establishing a separate legal entity.
Ukrtransgaz is conducting preparatory work on the legal and organizational design of the operation of the branch, the redistribution of production and business processes, an inventory of existing assets and the transfer to the new branch of more than 1,700 specialists who support the operation of Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities.
“The creation of the operator is a consistent step towards the qualitative completion of the unbundling process, as a result of which the operator of Ukraine’s GTS [gas transmission system] will be finally separated from Ukrtransgaz after the current transit contract with Gazprom terminates,” Ukrtransgaz President Andriy Khomenko said.
Ukrtransgaz, a wholly owned subsidiary of Naftogaz Ukrainy, operates Ukraine’s gas transmission system and 12 underground gas storage facilities with 31 billion cubic meters of capacity.
