MINING AND METALLURGICAL GROUP METINVEST PLANS EUROBONDS REFINANCING

Metinvest mining and metallurgical group has offered the holders of eurobonds with maturity till December 31, 2021 to redeem the securities ahead of schedule. According to a report by the holding on the website of the Irish Stock Exchange (ISE), currently 2021 eurobonds worth $1.187 billion are in circulation. The group is ready to buy the entire issue.
The initial stage of accepting applications ends at 16:00 London time on April 3, 2018. At this stage, the group proposes buying out 2020 eurobonds at 100.5% of the nominal value and is ready to pay extra 1% of the face value for consent and 3.75% of the face value for early consent.
The deadline for submitting applications is 16:00 London time on April 19, 2018. Along with the redemption, the issuer will pay accrued interest.
Metinvest also reached agreement with the creditors, who provided pre-export financing (PXF financing), about the revision of the terms of the loans, including their extension. At the same time, the group announced the issue of new securities. Metinvest intends to use the funds obtained in such a way to buy out 2021 eurobonds, refund PXF financing, as well as cover all related costs.

MITSUBISHI OPENS FIRST FAST CHARGING STATIONS IN UKRAINE (KYIV, DNIPRO, KHARKIV)

MMC Ukraine, the official distributor of Mitsubishi Motors in Ukraine, has joined the expansion of charging infrastructure in Ukraine, opening the first fast charging stations in the Mitsubishi dealer network in the cities with the population exceeding one million people, in particular Kyiv, Dnipro and Kharkiv, the press service of the company has said. The stations are opened on the eve of the introduction of Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV cars (a hybrid car with charging from the electricity mains) in the Ukrainian market.
“The technological flagship of Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV for the fourth year in a row has been leading in sales in the European market, surpassing the mark of 100,000 cars sold,” a press release says.
The ABB fast charging stations produced by the Netherlands are compatible with all electric vehicles with CHAdeMO charger types, and the standard charging time is 15-25 minutes, depending on the car’s characteristics. They have a power of 50 kW and are suitable for work in extreme weather conditions from 350 degrees below zero to 500 degrees above zero. The stations are installed in the official dealer centers NIKO Diamant (Kyiv), Niko Dnipro (Dnipro), and Techno-Art (Kharkiv).

SLOVIANSKI SHPALERY WALLPAPER OUTPUT 20% UP IN 2018

Public joint-stock company Slovianski Shpalery-KFTB (previously Koriukivka industrial paper factory in Chernihiv region), one of the CIS’ major wallpaper producers, in January and February 2018 produced 3.16 million conventional sheets of wallpaper, which was 20.5% up from a year ago, according to the UkrPapir association.
According to the association, wallpaper production in Ukraine in January and February 2018 grew by 12.4%, to 4.48 million conventional sheets of wallpaper. The factory’s share of total production was 24%.
In February 2018, wallpaper production in Ukraine totaled 8,580 million conventional sheets of wallpaper, which was 21% more than in February and 91% more than January 2018.
Taking into account the production indicators, the volume of commodity products of the plant in January and February 2018 increased almost 1.5-fold, to UAH 158.79 million.
As reported, in 2017 the factory reduced wallpaper output by 6.1% compared to 2016, to 26.79 million conventional units. In monetary terms, the volume of production remained almost at the level of 2016, amounting to UAH 1.066 billion.
Slovianski Shpalery-KFTB cooperates with many well-known global raw material suppliers.
The factory produces several kinds of wallpaper, including washable, duplex, vinyl and acrylic wallpaper. It sells over 2,500 designs under the Slovianski Shpalery trademark.
Earlier around two-thirds of products made by the factory were supplied to Russia. The factory also shipped its products to the CIS and European countries.

RUBIZHNE CARDBOARD MILL has 26% RISE IN CORRUGATED CARDBOARD BOXES OUTPUT IN 2018

Rubizhne cardboard packaging mill in Luhansk region, one of Ukraine’s largest cardboard packaging producers, produced 36.46 million square meters of corrugated cardboard boxes in January and February 2018, including goods from its Trypilsky packaging plant, which is 26.3% up year-over-year.
The mills increased production of components of corrugated cardboard (cardboard and fluting) by 9.9%, to 46,090 tonnes.
The total commodity amount produced by both plants in the period in monetary terms grew by 45.1%, to UAH 858.85 million.
According to UkrPapir association, cardboard packaging production in Ukraine in January and February 2018 grew by 19.2% and amounted to 160.83 million square meters.
The Rubizhne cardboard packaging mill has worked on the packaging market since 1991, and specializes in the production of components for corrugated cardboard (cardboard and fluting) and corrugated cardboard boxes.
Its most important customers are large confectioneries, juice and tobacco producers.
The Rubizhne cardboard packaging mill acquired Trypilsky packaging plant in 2002 and subsequently began producing corrugated cardboard and corrugated packaging.

GOVT TO CONSIDER DRAFT NATIONAL SPACE PROGRAM FOR 2018-2022 DRAWN UP BY SSAU IN NEAR FUTURE – PM

The government expects that the draft national scientific and technical space program for 2018-2022 drawn up by the State Space Agency of Ukraine (SSAU) will be submitted to the government soon, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said.
“They [SSAU] are now preparing a new program, and will report on it and approve in the coming weeks,” he said in the Verkhovna Rada on Friday, March 16.
According to the prime minister, the current situation in the aerospace industry was discussed at a closed-door meeting in the Cabinet of Ministers held in January with the participation of all interested parties, during which he identified three top priority tasks in the SSAU’s work.
The head of government pointed out the increase in the effectiveness of cooperation under international space projects implemented with the participation of Ukraine, as well as the work of the industry to satisfy the internal needs of the state. “I do not want to dig into this issue, there are questions that I cannot talk about,” he said.
“The work is under way and will be considered by the government in closed-door mode, and appropriate decisions will be made,” the prime minister said.
