Oil transit through the territory of Ukraine by pipeline transport to European countries and Belarus in January-April 2021 decreased by 8.3% compared to the same period in 2020, to 3.848 million tonnes, according to the data of JSC Ukrtransnafta.
According to the calculations of the Interfax-Ukraine agency, in particular, transit in the direction of Budkovce (Slovakia) amounted to 2.656 million tonnes (6.4% less from January-April 2020), Fenyeslitke (Hungary) – 832,000 tonnes (less by 24.4%), Mozyr (Belarus) – 359,600 tonnes (more by 37.5%).
The volume of oil transportation to refineries of Ukraine for the four months of 2021 amounted to 729,700 tonnes, which is 12.7% less than in January-April 2020. In particular, oil transportation along the Odesa-Kremenchuk route amounted to 284,300 tonnes (less by 20.8%).
Thus, in January-April 2021, the total transportation of oil through the company’s pipelines amounted to 4.578 million tonnes (less by 9.1%). The share of transit volume in it is 84.1%, pumping to the country’s refineries – 15.9%.
In April 2021, oil transit through Ukraine by pipeline transport increased by 18.4% compared to the same month in 2020, to 888,700 tonnes, in particular to Budkovce – 670,000 tonnes (more by 23.5%), Fenyeslitke – 129,700 tonnes (less by 37.6%), Mozyr – 89,000 tonnes (more by 100%).
Pumping at Ukrainian refineries last month decreased by 16.6%, to 203,700 tonnes.

The Kärcher German manufacturer of cleaning equipment plans to construct office complex and training center of the official representative office of the company in the village of Hatne (Kyiv region) by 2022.
“A 100% modern and environmentally friendly official representative office of Kärcher will be located in Kyiv region, near the village of Hatne. In addition to office premises, the largest in Ukraine Kärcher Center, an innovative training center Kärcher Academy and a service center for maintenance of equipment of a well-known manufacturer,” the press service of the company said.
The office center will be constructed using environmentally friendly technologies and equipped with reservoirs for accumulating rainwater, solar panels, and a car wash. Water purification systems will also be introduced for educational use.
The opening of the representative office in Hatne will create new jobs: the company predicts an annual increase in staff by 10% to 15%.
“I am sure that in five to six years we will use all the premises of the new office, and colleagues from the international Kärcher chain will visit Ukraine to exchange and study at Kärcher Academy,” the company said, citing Director General of Kärcher Ukraine Ivan Bechko.
Ribas Hotels Group LLC (Odesa), the managing company of the national network of tourist hotel and restaurant complexes of three- and four-star categories, has postponed the opening of the Bautzen hotel in Jelenia Gora (Poland) until the end of 2021, but it does not exclude another postponement.
“Yes, the pandemic has affected the construction time. We are continuing construction, but the deadlines are likely to be postponed even from those announced on our website today (this is the end of 2021),” founder of Ribas Hotels Group Artur Lupashko told Interfax-Ukraine.
According to him, during the lockdown in Poland, it was impossible to carry out construction work. In addition, 90% of the builders involved in the site are from Ukraine, and experienced difficulties in entering Poland due to quarantine restrictions.
Previously, Ribas Hotels Group planned to launch the Bautzen hotel in the spring of 2021. According to the company, after the launch, the three-star hotel will include 23 rooms. The total area will be 1,087 square meters. The object will be the first in the portfolio of the operator outside of Ukraine.
According to estimates by Ribas Hotels Group, the planned return on investment in the opening of Bautzen is 10% per annum.
Ribas Hotels Group cooperates (management, franchising and booking) with 25 hotel and restaurant facilities (city, beach and ski hotels). The company’s portfolio includes business hotels Wall Street by Ribas and Bossfor by Ribas (Odesa), ski hotel Ribas Karpaty (Bukovel, Ivano-Frankivsk region), beach complex Richard by Ribas (Odesa region). Hotels in Lviv and Kyiv, as well as in Poland, are currently at the design and construction stage.
