Building B12 of the Kyiv innovation park UNIT.City has received the silver certificate LEEDv.4 Core & Shell of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). “Building B12 is the first commercial building in Ukraine to be awarded such a certificate. The developer of the project was KAN Development, the contractor was KAN Bud. Delta Ukraine performed the LEED certification of the building,” Delta Ukraine’s press service said.
In particular, the following features of the building were noted: good location relative to the public transport network and social infrastructure, the availability of an underground parking lot with electric car chargers, energy-efficient design, engineering equipment, LED lighting, water-efficient plumbing and landscape irrigation system, separate waste collection, a ban on smoking in and around the building, two-stage air purification and quality control.
As reported, with reference to UFuture, in general, until 2021 the amount of investment in UNIT.City will reach EUR 245 million, and by 2025 the total area of real estate in the park should be 500,000 square meters.
The UNIT.City Innovation Park officially opened in April 2017 in the territory of the former Kyiv Motorcycle Plant. By the beginning of 2019, some 50,000 square meters were already built up in the technical park, and more than 100 companies became its residents.
UNIT.City also started the construction of residential buildings, which should occupy about 30% of its area. It was planned to commission the first facilities in April 2020. By 2025, the total area of UNIT.City should be 500,000 square meters.
Authorized bodies of Ukraine and Chine have approved an international veterinary certificate for exporting frozen beef from Ukraine, according to a posting on the website of the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection of Ukraine.
As reported, the authority expects that in 2019-2020 some 24 states would open their markets for Ukrainian poultry products.
In 2018, Ukraine opened 85 new markets for various types of products and increased the number of companies authorized to export animal products.
The State Aviation Service of Ukraine suspended the Air Operator’s Certificate No.UK 046 of Europe Air Kyiv Airline from 00:00 UTC (03:00 Kyiv time) on July 27, 2019.
The decision was taken by the permanent Commission on certification of operators, organizations for the maintenance and continuing airworthiness, designers and manufacturers of aircraft, schools for pilot training in Ukraine, flight and technical personnel of the State Aviation Service, as the regulator’s press service reported.
According to the State Register of Aircraft of Ukraine, Europe Air operates five freight IL-76 TD planes, which were produced in 1900-1992 and belong to Infinite Seal Inc.
The company’s airport is based in Kryvyi Rih, however, the flights are mainly served from the airport in Sharjah (United Arab Emirates) to the states of Africa, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, Georgia and Lithuania, the company says on its website.
Revenue of Europe Air was UAH 2.2 million, a net profit – UAH 0.26 million in 2017.
Alfa Smart Agro has been audited and received an ISCC certificate for the supply of corn and rapeseeds to the EU as raw materials for biofuel, the company has said.
According to a press release, Alfa Smart Agro received the ISCC certificate in a FGP status (first gathering point) and as a trader in rapeseeds and corn.
“Certification for compliance with the ISCC requirements opens up for Alfa Smart Agro the opportunity to supply corn and rapeseeds as raw material for biofuel production to EU countries,” the company noted.
Alfa Smart Agro noted that during the audit, it is not the product itself that is certified, but the process and chain through which it is produced, stored and delivered to the EU markets. Land use is estimated, the amount of greenhouse gas emissions and other indicators are taken into account.
Alfa Smart Agro is a manufacturer of plant protection agents and micronutrients.
The State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumers’ Rights Protection has agreed on the form of the international veterinary certificate for milk and dairy export to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This was reported on the website of the state service on June 24.
As reported, Ukraine agreed on certificates for export of dairy products to Oman and Qatar as well as for export of beef and products made of it to Saudi Arabia.
In 2018, Ukraine opened 85 export markets for various types of products and increased the number of enterprises that received the right to export food products of animal origin. A total of 126 producers of the country can export food products to EU countries.
