Ovostar Union, one of the leading producers of eggs and egg products in Ukraine, in 2020 reduced sales of eggs by 4% compared to 2019, to 1.104 billion pieces.
According to the group’s report on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, the volume of exports fell more significantly, by 33.5%, to 349 million units, as a result of which the share of exports fell from 46% to 32%.
The average price of eggs in hryvnias increased by 2%, to UAH 1.634 per egg, while in dollar terms decreased by 2%, to $ 0.061.
The company reported that egg production last year increased by 5%, to 1.672 billion pieces, while egg processing decreased by 4%, to 552 million pieces.
Production of liquid egg products decreased by 3%, to 13,504 tonnes, while dry egg products increased by 6%, to 3,161 tonnes.
The volume of sales of dry egg products increased by 17%, to 3,270 tonnes, in particular exports rose by 9.9%, to 2,268 tonnes, but its share decreased from 74% to 69%.
The volume of sales of liquid egg products decreased by 3%, to 13,281 tonnes, in particular exports by 28.7%, to 4,647 tonnes, and its share from 47% to 35%.
The average price of dry egg products increased by 3% in hryvnia terms, to UAH 110.84/kg and fell by 1% in dollar terms, to $ 4.11 per kg.
The average price of liquid egg products decreased by 11% in hryvnia terms, to UAH 32.93 per kg, in dollar terms by 15%, to $ 1.22 per kg.
Milk production in Ukraine decreased by 4.1%, to 8.02 million tonnes in January-October 2020 (excluding the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, Sevastopol, the Joint Forces Operation zone) compared to the same period in 2019.
According to the State Statistics Service, 2.71 million tonnes of meat (live weight) were produced in the ten months, which is 1.2% less than in January-October of the previous year.
Egg production decreased by 1.6%, to 14.09 billion eggs for the reporting period.
According to the State Statistics Service, milk production in Ukraine in 2019 decreased by 3.6%, to 9.7 million tonnes compared to 2018. Egg production increased by 3.4% to 16.68 billion in 2019, and meat (live weight) by 5.3%, to 3.49 million tonnes.
Milk production in Ukraine in January 2020 (excluding the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, Sevastopol, the Joint Forces Operation area) decreased by 2.5% compared to the same period last year, to 545,200 tonnes.
According to the State Statistics Service, farmers produced 322,700 tonnes of meat (live weight) in January this year, which is 4.5% more than in January 2019.
Egg production in January-2020 increased by 7.4%, to 1.22 billion.
Milk production in Ukraine in January-November 2019 decreased by 3.7% compared to the same period in 2018, to 9.08 million tonnes. According to the State Statistics Service, in January-November 2019, farmers produced 3.05 million tonnes of meat (live weight), which is 5.8% more than in the same period of 2018.
Egg production grew by 3.5%, to 15.51 billion units.
Milk production in Ukraine in January-August 2019 decreased by 3.5% compared to the same period in 2018, to 6.74 million tonnes.
According to the State Statistics Service, in January-August 2019, farmers produced 2.15 million tonnes of meat (live weight), which is 6.5% more than in the same period of 2018.
Egg production grew by 5.2%, to 11.64 billion units.
Ovostar Union, one of the leading producers of eggs in Ukraine, in January-June 2019 reduced sales of eggs by 10.2%, to 610 million units due to a significant reduction in trade operations.
According to the company’s report posted on the website of the Warsaw Stock Exchange, the company produced 782 million eggs against 787 million units for the same period last year.
Exports grew by 14%, to 335 million eggs, thus, the share of export in the total structure of sales is estimated at 55%.
The group of companies said that the average price of eggs fell by 8.7%, to $0.063/piece compared to the same period in 2018.
As of June 30, 2019, the total number of hens at the holding was 7.6 million, which is 2.7% more than on the same date in 2018. The number of laying hens increased by 4.8%, to 6.5 million.
According to Ovostar Union, the volume of egg processing in January-June of the current year grew by 5%, to 293 million units. Production of liquid egg goods during this period rose by 19%, to 7,210 tonnes, dry egg products decreased by 8%, to 1,530 tonnes.
