PJSC Energomashspetsstal (Donetsk region), owned by Russia’s Atomenergomash (Rosatom State Corporation), in January-July this year reduced steel production, according to recent data, by 20.5% compared to the same period last year, to 31,000 tonnes.
A source in the industry told Interfax-Ukraine that 2,000 tonnes of steel were produced in July.
As reported, Energomashspetsstal in 2020 increased steel production by 6.8% compared to the previous year, to 63,000 tonnes.

PJSC Energomashspetsstal (Kramatorsk, Donetsk region), owned by Russia’s Atomenergomash (Rosatom state corporation), in January-April of this year reduced steel production by 13.6% compared to the same period last year, to 19,000 tonnes.
A source in the industry told Interfax-Ukraine that 5,000 tonnes of steel were produced in April.
As reported, Energomashspetsstal in 2020 increased steel production by 6.8% compared to the previous year, to 63,000 tonnes.

PJSC Energomashspetsstal (Kramatorsk, Donetsk region), owned by Russia’s Atomenergomash (Rosatom state corporation), sold products worth UAH 3.324 billion in 2020, which is 71% more than in 2019.
According to the information on the company’s website, the share of exports in total sales was 94.4%.
Over the past year, Energomashspetsstal shipped 21,430 tonnes of products to customers, and the key objects of supply were such nuclear power plants (NPP) as: Kudankulam (India), Akkuyu (Turkey), Tianwan (China) and Xudap (China).
“According to the plan, in 2021 it is planned to produce and sell products for at least UAH 3.043 billion,” the report said.
According to Energomashspetsstal, a significant event in 2020 was the development of a new technology for the manufacture of shanks and low-pressure rotor discs, which made it possible to successfully pass the qualifications of General Electric and start serial production of products for the Akkuyu NPP under construction in Turkey.
The press service also said that by the beginning of this year, 1,525 people worked at the enterprise, and the average monthly wage increased by 16% by 2019, to UAH 18,380.
The report, citing acting Marketing and Sales Director at Energomashspetsstal Yuriy Shportko, said that the company’s order portfolio is full for 2021.
“In 2020, the plant received a number of serious orders. An important direction will be the production of large-sized castings for the ship’s energy system. Work will also continue to produce billets for the nuclear power plants under construction in India, Turkey and China. Prospects for the supply of products to Egypt for the El-Dabaa NPP are being considered. In addition, we plan to supply rolled products to new markets in the United States, Canada, Mexico and China,” the press service said, citing Shportko.

The enterprise said in a statement on its website on Monday, April 27, that such figures were given in the report of General Director of Energomashspetsstal Vitaliy Hnezdytsky at the general meeting of shareholders on April 23.
“Despite the decline in demand in the foreign and internal markets, increased competition from Asian manufacturers, the presence of excess capacity in Eurozone enterprises, PJSC Energomashspetsstal manages to preserve the accumulated potential and maintain a stable economic condition. The enterprise managed to output products almost at the level of last year,” the press service said, citing the general director’s report.
He said that there were some 59,300 tonnes of liquid steel [5% less than in 2018], some 3,200 tonnes of cast products (6.7% more), some 37,900 tonnes of forgings (7% less) produced in 2019.
“There were 85.8% of manufactured products amounted to UAH 1.940 billion sold in 2019. The main consumers were Germany, Kazakhstan, China, Finland, the United States, France, Poland, Romania, Belgium and others. There was entry into the gross products market of the United States, Brazil and Mexico,” the general director said in the report.
According to the report, the enterprise regularly pays salaries, and the average salary amounted to almost UAH 18,800 UAH in February 2020, which is 24% more than in February 2019.
The shareholders determined the output and sale of products in the amount of UAH 3.71 billion in 2020.
According to the Energomashspetsstal report in the disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, the shareholders also elected a new composition of the supervisory board, which included eight former members and instead of retired Yuriy Yatseniuk, who was a member of the supervisory board from 2011, introduced Kateryna Taruta [daughter of the MP and former governor of Donetsk region Serhiy Taruta] as a representative of the Cyprus EMSS Holdings Limited.

PJSC Energomashspetsstal (EMSS, Kramatorsk, Donetsk region), the owner of which is Russia’s Atomenergomash, has signed a new agreement with Steel Authority of India (SAIL) for delivery of 1,190 tonnes of rolled products. The press service of EMSS has reported that the agreement was signed following tender in July 2019. The value of the contract is not disclosed.
The rolls will be produced for a new hot-rolling mill 2250 of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP).
According to the contract, the products should be sent to the customer by the second quarter of 2021.
The company’s press service said a successful fulfillment of this order would favor further cooperation with SAIL into other projects.
For a moment, SAIL’s RSP is also waiting for another delivery under the previous order from EMSS that is to be sent to the customer by the beginning of 2020.
