More than 15 million tons of agricultural products exported from Ukraine during “grain deal”

Over 15 million tons of agricultural products were exported from Ukraine during the “grain deal”, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey Adil Karaismailoglu said.
“According to the minister, from the first of August to December 25, 585 dry cargo ships departed from Ukrainian ports. A total of 15 million 80 thousand tons of 13 varieties of agricultural products were transported through the “grain corridor,” he said,” reports Anadolu.
He noted that 44% of the products coming from Ukraine were sent to European countries, 29% – to Asian countries, 15% – to Turkey and 12% – to African countries.
On July 22 in Istanbul with the participation of the UN, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine signed documents to create a corridor for the export of grain from three ports in the Ukrainian territory – Chornomorsk, Odessa and Yuzhny.

Ukraine reduced export of coke and semi-coke by 98%

Ukraine in January-November this year, exports of coke and semi-coke in physical terms decreased by 98% compared to the same period last year to 3,856 thousand tons.
According to statistics released by the State Customs Service (SCS), in monetary terms, exports of coke and semi-coke during this period fell by 97.6% to $1.011 million.
Ukraine imported 340,451 thousand tons of coke and semi-coke in January-November 2022, down 50.4% from January-November 2021. In monetary terms, imports fell by 42.1% to $168.885 million.
As reported, Ukraine in 2021 increased the export of coke and semi-coke in volume terms by 3.3 times compared to 2020 – up to 194.535 thousand tons. In monetary terms, export of coke and semi-coke during this period rose in 4.8 times – up to $ 41.838 million. The main exports were carried out in Kazakhstan (29.03% in monetary terms), Turkey (20.06%) and Algeria (15.77%).
Ukraine imported 789.903 thousand tons of coke and semi-coke last year, which is 2.1 times more than in 2020. In monetary terms, imports increased 4.3 times – up to $351.238 million. Imports were carried out mainly from Russia (65.48% of supplies in monetary terms), the Czech Republic (20%) and Poland (8.45%).
As a result of the war, a number of mines and coke and chemical plants were located in territories temporarily outside of Ukraine’s control.

Ukraine reduced export of aluminum, lead and zinc in 11 months of 2022

According to customs statistics released by the State Customs Service of Ukraine, the export of aluminum and aluminum products for 11 months of 2022 decreased by 41.3% compared to January-November 2021 – to $90.723 million ($7.173 million in November), lead and zinc products by 70.2% – to $10.574 million ($0.804 million), nickel and products – by 72.5%, to $1.168 million ($0.082 million).
Imports of tin and tin products fell 25.7% to $3.140 million ($246,000) and imports of zinc and zinc products fell 60.4% to $34.304 million ($3.813 million).
Zinc exports during the reporting period amounted to $1.321 million (in November there were no deliveries), while in January-November 2021 it was $408 thousand. Tin exports and products in January-November 2022 totaled $423 thousand (in November – $2 thousand) compared to $220 thousand during the same period last year.
Exports of aluminum and aluminum products for 2021 rose 53.9% to $169.094 million, lead and lead products rose 52.8% to $38.229 million, and nickel and nickel products rose 55% to $4.856 million.
Zinc exports last year were $550,000, up from $69,000 in 2020 (up eightfold). Tin and products exports in 2021 were $346,000 compared to $117,000 a year earlier.
